I had an SWFA fixed 10x on one of my deer rifles for a while. Good scope for the money, but the glass is not jaw-dropping, write home to the folks good by any means. Decent bang for buck, but I would struggle to call it decidedly better. Still had some mild distortion at the edges and the light transmission, while good, does not hold a candle to "really good glass" that admittedly costs a lot more.

For a lightweight fixed 4x combat optic with BDC that can survive explosions and getting run over, the ACOG performs very well at ~$1000.
