I have nobody to share this with, it's a small ammo dump and then I'll let the thread die. Save to your heart's content. 8mm PPU

Number 2. Sorry in advance, I know this is mostly /p/ material.

Reminds me that I have 8mm PPU brass but no one to give it to

Would /k/ be able to form a effective resistance against a conventional army?

dumbass with the dakimakura and scattergat making me anxious
/k/? Hell no. Most of /k/ doesn't even own guns, and most of the rest are overweight turboautists. Like maybe 5% of the /k/ population is usable in any way.
You'd be better off with ex-LEO and military guys. We used to have quite a few on here but it seems to constant queers posting traps and shitting on guns they've never even held has scared a lot of them away. Once again, autists ruin everything.
Sup faggots. I'm fairly new-ish to reloading and wanna make some loads for my wife. She's got an SR22, but I'm thinking about moving her up to 9mm because 22lr is shit for SD. Yeah, I could be a pansy-ass faggot and get her a .380; but lets be honest, .380 is shit and you're a degenerate if you think it's worth it (even though I sometimes carry 9mm Mak, lol fuck off).
Would a loaded ~90% loaded (maybe subs) be worth it? ballistics-wise, would a a couple of lower FPS 9mm still tear through a nigger's torso better than .380?
>inb4 "9mm hurr"
>inb4 op can inb4

What does you wife carry?
>inb4 tfwgf; men only
I'll reload my 44 MAGNUM Into her casing, if u no wut i meen.
>>33221893
I do. Don't stop there though. Make her your 54r bitch and scream for daddy
why wife has 9mm
So I finally decided to refinish my Enfield no. 1, did I do good /k/?
Where the FUCK do I go to buy a shield handle? One that I can place on a flat surface and fit my knuckles under.
>>33220661
Literally any hardware store. It's called a dowel and brackets. Maybe a heavy bolt through the middle depending on what you plan to get hit with.
This would literally be one of the easiest possible things to DIY
>>33220661
buy a door handle dumbass.
Also don't go to protests unless you want 5 felony charges.
Lets talk about human weapons. Combat experience can turn a man into a disciplined killing machine. Were German soldiers, who had fought for years and on several fronts across Europe, some of the most deadly warriors in human history?
>>33219522
After the war they even went onto joining the legion and fighting in Indochina they loved it that much.
They say during the Indochina war around 80% of the french foreign legion were German soldiers.
>>33219542
Was that because they loved it or because they wanted to escape any possible prosecution/punishment in post-war Europe?
>>33219605
Both i reckon.
The legion even went as far as putting recruitment centres in mainland Germany.
Which is better, LBE or chest rigs (basic ones without plate)?
For what?
>>33219305
chest rigs will distribute weight more evenly, are more modular so u can customize for comfort, and are much more comfortable to wear and access gear while prone. and they don't dig into your shoulders as bad.
but it depends on how much shit you want to carry, if you just want a pistol belt to hold a handgun and a few spare mags plus some AR mags for 3 gun type shit, a pistol belt without the suspenders will be fine, but if you want to wear 6+ rifle magazines and a camelbak, go for the chest rig
>>33219305
LBE is good if you *have* to carry a lot of long term weight on individual personal gear. I would raise the example of a machinegunner/AG as somebody who's going to be carting a lot of ammo that they need ready.
If you don't NEED a bunch of heavy gear all in one package, then I think a chest rig, light belt, pack combination is much more flexible, modular, and sensible. Everything a your ALICE LBE can do can be done by a light chest rig and a hydration pack.
Since modern packs have gone for a tall and thin shape as opposed to a big high set cube, having a light belt without a bunch of straps or things loaded along the back makes everything much easier. Trust me, wearing a fully loaded ALICE + any ruck sucks immensely compared to a light belt, chest rig, and modern ruck.
should I cop?
taurus pt111, it's really cheap and reading reviews people seem to like it. any of you have one? i'm jonesin for my first 9mm
>>33219234
no.
>>33219246
why not though
srs I wanna hear from people who have actually used one
Bumping. I'm considering buying one too
How would /k/ design a character stat system with regards to guns?
Would the stat for rifles be different from the stat for pistols?
What would those stats effect?
How would you handle the stats for guns? Would the players stats effect how much damage they do?
Damage based 100% on cartridge, guns only differ in accuracy (smaller differences within a caliber) and recoil (even smaller differences within a caliber)
>>33219179
and of course reload speed, but this can be improved for each character
>>33219179
What about barrel length, twist rate, etc.
Any recommendations for a first time buyer? I was considering a Hi-point 9mm carbine, is that a good rifle? I live in Alaska.
>Pros:
Fun
Cheap
Reliable
>Cons:
Low capactiy
Plastic
a 10/22 should always be your first gun
pretty sure hi point guns use their firing pins as ejectors
>>33218734
What's wrong with plastic?
I turned 21 last year and bought a handgun (Glock 19). Since then, my dad has been looking into handguns and going to the range more and more frequently. Now I think he is finally searching for a home defense handgun. He's career military and a pretty good shot. But, he is convinced that .45 is superior to 9mm. I told him double stack 9s will hold more, kick less, and be less expensive to shoot. Be retorts with stoppin' powah and muh hole size in paper targets. Honestly either is fine, but I don't want to see him buy a .45 just because of fudd-logic. How do I educate him?
>home defense handgun
>fudd
Pick one.
It's more of a preference at this point with .45 pistols getting more capacity. I personally carry both (not at the same time.) A good 45 like an Fnx will have around the same recoil as a 9mm.
Anyways pistols aren't great for home defense. Get a shotgun.
>>33218412
Shoot him with both and ask which one hurts more
Hey guys. I made a thread about where i bought a police trade in USP. everything on the gun looks good. But I'm shooting it very shitty. I'm honestly not sure if its me or the gun. I brought it along with my 1911 and bersa (both of which I shot very good groups with at 30 feet). the USP on the other hand was shooting like 10 inch groups. I was disappointed. I know the sights on my 1911 are better than the USP but even my bersa was making much better groups. Is it possibly a gun issue?
>>33218216
theres a 95% its you. on the other hand the condition of the gun is suspect cause its used. whats the overall condition of the gun and have you bothered to replace common things that wear out like springs?
I mean the bore could be worn out but i highly doubt it on a police trade in, they usually show more holster wear on the finish than wear from shooting. The USP does take a bit of practice to get the feel for it, especially the play in the trigger. What does the bore look like?
>>33218216
>>33218265
It's you OP, that said TDA USPs have a shitty mushy SA trigger and do take more mental discipline to tack drive with.
I just ordered one of these and I don't even own an AR. What else can I do with it, besides put it on a picatinny rail?
