Share/discuss spooky /k/ related movies, because I feel like that's a niche part of cinema that doesn't get enough love.
Here's a couple recent ones I saw that were really quite good.
R-point (2004)
>south korean platoon goes missing during vietnam war in a mysterious region sacred to the local vietnamese called Romeo Point, 6 months later they're still broadcasting cries for help
>another south korean unit sent in to investigate
>spooky shenanigans ensue when they find that the region has been home to many, many more disappearances
Deathwatch (2002)
>Bunch of British soldiers in WW1 capture a German trench
>Trench layout is a nonsensical maze, almost as if the Germans were fighting against something IN the trench
>They attempt to hold out for reinforcements, but it turns out the greatest threat is from within...
The Objective (2008)
>Soon after 9/11, CIA satellites pick up a massive radiation signature in Afghanistan
>They believe this to be a sign of the Taliban being in possession of a nuclear weapon
>A le CIA meme man and team are sent in to investigate
>Things are not as they seem when locals speak of a force more terrifying than nuclear power...
Fun fact, one of the actors is a former SEAL and also an instructor in Class 234

I did like this one.
>War torn Eastern Europe
>merc squad gets a job to escort some brainiac to old Nazi bunker in the middle of nowhere
>obviously spooky shit ensures, and the team is stuck between a rock and hard place
I remember liking the fact how decently /k/ommando the guys in the film were, taking single shots with their salt-rifles and shit.
Apparently they've made tons of sequels to this shit now, but I haven't seen them.

>Deathwatch
>Outpost
Very good ones, part of my tri-fecta of "great war film meet /x/"
So I'll add the other one I like.
Below (2002)
>Lifeboat full of brits from a sunk medical ship get picked up by US submarine
>German destroyer spots them and boat has to dive deep and begin game of cat and mouse
>hey look, it's Zack Galifianakis before his career took off!
>spooky shit starts happening on board the sub
>the truth behind the strange occurences and what is causing them slowly unfolds as events come full circle
F-86 Sabre vs Mig-15
Which one /k/?
Closest thing to parity the east and west ever had. Ones slightly better vertically, the other horizontally.
Pilot is the deciding factor here. Don't be like /o/, the operator matters more than the machine

Isn't that what initial d taught? It's not the car, it's the driver.
>>33227169
who sees whom first?
I accidentally spent $300 edition.
I need to sell more stuff.
>>33211445
>not being able to afford $300

Who said I couldn't?
Why not?
Things your guns said to convince you to buy them.
>>33258536
>look at me, im a gun
>You can dance if you want to
>It's not like you can afford any better.
And so we went to war.
I'm about to purchase my first gun this year, /k/, but I can't decide between an AR-15 (on top) and a century arms AK.
>>33263621
If you're on a budget like the Century implies you will get much more for your dollar with an AR, the market is currently in the middle of a collapse.
Good Century AKs:
WASR
NPAP
M70AB2
The rest of it is trash and those are only good because Century doesn't manufacture them.
If you're thinking about getting a RAS47 or C39v2, don't. They're bad guns (yes even the v2).
As it stands right now, you can get a S&W M&P15 or Ruger AR556 for right around $600 If you shop, and they're better than other budget ARs and better than an AR you'd be able to build at that price-point. IMO quality-wise they're a wash but the Ruger has a better barrel.

Forgot my picture.
So i found this in my grandpa belongings.
Is it salvageable?
The safety is missing, the plunger spring is busted and the hammer axis has been replaced with a piece of wood.
>>33263448
It's beyond saving, scrap it.
>>33263455
:( it was granpops
I don't see this talked about on here. Is it (or the fn9) used by any militaries or Leo? Is it reliable? How's the warranty?
this is a fake thread

Seems pretty real to me, retard

Couple of things about Glocks. Can you tell when they're cocked? An exposed hammer tells you this. Also, the safety on the trigger. Any motion that pulls the trigger by accident also disengages the safety'. Seems like a bad design.
>Seems like a bad design.
Which is why the gadget perfected Glock.

>Can you tell when they're cocked?
you can tell if its cocked or not by trigger position
>>33257868
Not being a retard is uaually a safe bet when shooting a glock
OP probably shouldn't own one.
PS.
>nice b8. Got me to respond. Enjoy your (you)
Hello, /k/. I've enjoyed the occasional screencap of humorous threads from this magical place, but only recently have I actually browsed this board for advice, suggestions, and general knowledge of weaponry.
Some might call me foolish for doing so, but I tend to take everything with a grain of salt.
That being said, I come here for general opinions and comparisons, anyway. I'd like to know what some /k/ommandos believe I should have as my first handgun, possibly as a concealed carry weapon. I have a roommate who worships John Browning and the almighty M1911, a gun I admire but view as "too vanilla" despite its status as a living fossil. I'm currently looking at the Walther P38 family, Tokarev pistols, and the ancient Nagant M1895 revolver, but I'm open to suggestions.
I don't want any polymers involved— metal only. I like .45 and 9mm Parabellum for being relatively powerful and inexpensive handgun cartridges; the Nagant revolver's on my list for its unique gas-seal mechanism and history, not the power or cheapness of the 7.62x38r cartridge. I do love the design of old German handguns (Luger P08s and Mauser C96s are gorgeous), but they're far too expensive.
What are your thoughts? Educate me; tell me what to buy.
>>33256868
a mak
>>33256868
None are good for CC, so don't bother.
The cheapest is the tokerev, and I can vouch for its amazing trigger and pure sex cartridge.
It's like what a 1911 could have been but wasn't.
>>33256938
I've considered Makarovs, but the round just seems like a weakling cousin to the 9x19 Parabellum. Why bother? If I want something Russian, cheap, and low-power, I'll get the Nagant revolver. Something more punchy... The Tokarev.
>>33256947
>It's like what a 1911 could have been but wasn't.
From what I understand, it's like a 9mm, but with less recoil and incredible penetration (for its size). Elaborate?
What would you consider good for CC?
What are guns that only white people use?
>>33256189
What?
>>33256189
Expensive ones.
ar-15s
Was Patton right to slap those soldiers who were most likely suffering from PTSD?
>>33254839
>In 1915 Patton was assigned to border patrol duty with A Company of the 8th Cavalry, based in Sierra Blanca.[41][42] During his time in the town, Patton took to wearing his M1911 Colt .45 in his belt rather than a holster. His firearm discharged accidentally one night in a saloon, so he swapped it for an ivory-handled Colt Single Action Army revolver, a weapon that would later become an icon of Patton's image.[43]
What a faggot.
>>33254858
Well, it certaintly was a change for the better
>>33254858
>it's the guns fault!
Patton sounds like a 1940's fud.

They are.
Hey /k/, going hiking soon and will be buying an M&P9 Shield as a CCW. My issue is that for 25-30 miles of hiking over 3 days, and Inside Waistband holster will be very uncomfortable. This led me to search for a solution.
I'm considering something like pic related. It's got pretty good reviews on Amazon (if you search "concealed carry waist pack" it should be one of the first reviews), and for a smaller gun like the Shield it should work perfectly.
I don't want to get a chest holster, because I'd prefer to conceal carry. Any reason I shouldn't carry like this? All advice welcome. Thanks.
>>33253367
First question: why won't you open carry on a hike?
>>33253389
I'd just prefer to concealed carry. I'll be with two female family members who aren't super comfortable around firearms in the first place, and I don't want to attract negative attention from any other hikers.
unless your local laws prohibit open carry, you should consider an owb open carry.
these fannypack-carry bags seem like a male equivalent to concealed carry purses: a really bad idea
I'm starting to far innamountains, and thinking how can I secure at least a full size handgun for two people, plus possibly one or two AR-15 in a four door Wrangler. Also itt, your real encounters innamountains where you actually needed weapons.
>>33252810
Handgun goes in the door pocket, rifles in the trunk. Ceiling gun racks if you so desire.

http://www.morris4x4center.com/jeep-accessories/gun-racks.htm
just an anecdote from a Buddy in Washington but he was once out mudding or whatever in the boonies with his jeep and while chilling out of his vehicle on a dirt road some caddilac came down a dirt road towards him with some guy pointing a pistol out the window so he went to his jeep and got his ak with no stock (Bulgarian?) and racked a round and the car reversed.
