How awesome would it be if the US and Russia started puffing their chests for another few decades of cold war so that both could justify a shitload of spending on advancing military technology? Is Trump on good enough terms with Putin to make this happen? THAAD really only works on short to intermediate range ballistic missiles. It was designed to counter SCUD missiles and not true ICBMs. THAAD is great for its intended niche, bit it is not capable of hitting Reentry Vehicles from ICBMs traveling at Mach 20+ whith decoys in tow.

I'm on probation for a class C misdemeanor in Texas, running a stop sign. I don't have to report to a PO just go 90 days without any crimes and it's not on my record. I asked the prosecutor if I'd lose any freedoms and he said no.
Will it prevent me from buying a gun through NICs? I'm not sure if the guy knew I meant guns when I said freedoms. It's also not written on my contract.
Anyone have experience buying a gun on relatively relaxed probation? I'm thinking of ordering a gun online and when I go to pick it up don't want to be denied.

Post niche guns that would be useless for general duty. Target pistols, race guns, experimental test-beds, bench rest, specialized hunting (like big game).
Pictured is a S&W model 52, it's a 9mm S&W that the factory converted to a .38 Special, but it can only fire wadcutters since the dimensions are unchanged. It was for bullseye target shooting only. The goal was to replace .38 Special WC revolvers, the only real advantage over a target revolver being that it can cock itself with the slide, giving a single action trigger pull each time without having to manually pull back the hammer.
They are mechanically excellent guns, every moving part having been tuned by S&W's Performance Center. While production was never high, they were made from 1961 to 1993 because a cult following demanded a small but regular supply of guns and parts. Production only ended because the tooling wore out.
