Does anyone have the full story about that German scout in WW2 who stole a Cromwell while all the tankers were gathered in front of the column and then he rammed it into a wall near his outpost because he didn't know how to shut the engine off.
Also, WW2 thread.
looking at getting a type 38 carbine arisaka. anyone know where to get 6.5mm jap with good availability?
>>34990981
Selway Armory has some. $2.00 a round.
>>34991025
I'm guessing no makes this shit anymore... i have the same issue finding ammo for my mauser 71/84. have to get ammo through buffalo arms whenever they have it
>>34990981
Even back in the day, 6.5 and 7.7 ammo wasn't readily available or cheap.
Read up on reloading. Single stage presses aren't too terribly expensive and Lee has 6.5 dies. As far as brass and bullets goes, they're out there.
About the same time as the "enemy" became about as equipped as the normal American.
The short answer is neocons making billions in a undefined type of war with no real goal.

vietnam
Good deal? I've been eyeing one for a while now and I think I'll actually buy it this time.
>>34990722
lcp2 are awesome if you can handle recoil
11z is fairly lite for 380
also has shorter trigger than lcp
>>34990722
I don't like the aesthetics of the Gen II at all. The trigger and sights are better but it has a taller, boxier thing going on. You can get Gen 1s for around $200. The Gen 2 takes a bit of practice to get used to as well, I try to put 50 rounds at least through mine every month. Either way the LCP is still a great pocket pistol
What does /k/ think about India's brand new weapon platform?

Does is have an integrated navigation system for finding the nearest designated shitting street?

Nothing compared to Ghanian military superiority.
How does adjusting the gas system to account for a shorter barrel work when creating a legal semi-auto SBS, like a Saiga SBS? How difficult is it? I have a project I want to try, but I don't want to ruin a perfectly functional gun.

>>34990279
More what? Pics?
This is what I want to chop-a Puma. On one hand, anons are correct-it's a tricky idea to get it to run well. On the other, I figured you can chop a Saiga, so...
What are you looking for exactly? Cutting down a saiga barrel and getting it to run reliably? You will need to remove the gas block and open up some of the gas ports to run reliably and even then you are looking at using high brass shotgun shells. There is a guy in the ak files named evil something and has a 6" saiga that runs reliably.
Is this flick accurate? What kind of equipment this oldschool operators were using?
Bump

Pistols were Browning Hi-powers (GP35), SMGs were Heckler and Koch MP5.
Not sure what covering snipers were equipped with, as don't have reference books with me atm
Did they run fuckhuge maglites on top of their MP5s?
Any military decisions that leaves you scratching your head?
Russia is testing the Ka-52K naval attack helicopter on the Admiral Gorshkov frigate. It will carry extra fuel tanks and 9M100 missiles. The 'reason' for this is that instead of the Ka-27 Helix that acts as an Anti Submarine Helicopter, the Ka-52K will act as the ship's AESA OTH radar against sea skimmers that the ship's sensors might've missed. It carries fuel tanks for hover time and missiles that have their own radars to take out incoming missiles.
They're not using the Helix because the ship already has a bow sonar and a towed array. Not to mention that the Kaliber ASROC has a huge range.
It's as stupid as that guy who likes buying Chinese.
Why is it confusing?
Helicopter AEWs are pretty flexible given they can lillypad off anything with a patch of flat deck.
Only problem with this is that Admiral Gorshkov frigates will need to deploy in pairs or groups to maintain constant coverage because they can't support two helicopters.
>>34990061
It's not about that it's helo AEW (although the Ka-52 really isn't a "proper" one persay).
It's about GIVING UP YOUR ASW HELO IS A REALLY FUCKING RETARDED IDEA.
>>34990121
It's just a frigate so of course it will move out in groups. The Project 20381 corvettes are their designated ASuW ships so they'll carry the Ka-27.
They're trying different combinations for their upcoming modular multi purpose Project 22160 patrol ships. And this is one of them.
ok im looking for a bolt action rifle for self defense dont judge me its a valid option where i live i need a gun thats wood stock cheap takes cheap ammo is easy to use and isnt a .22 i want a moist nugget but my faggoty gun shops run out too fast again im poor so dont recommend some fucking high class fox hunting rifle pic not related

>>34990135
The fuck, are you planning on carrying your rifle fucking everywhere? Why not get a CCW? There are some good poorfag options, like ruger lc9s and s&w shield.
Is giving someone a gun as a gift illegal. I live in Gators state
If not in what context.
It should only be illegal if you knowingly gift it to someone who cannot lawfully possess a firearm, someone out of state, or in a way that makes them out to be "the actual purchaser" on a 4473.
>>34989927
Ask a lawyer
>>34989927
Don't know about gator land but in NC you can gift guns. However when it comes to hand guns, the receiving party is supposed to have a concealed carry permit or a pistol purchase permit, but I'm pretty darn sure its not enforced and I can't see grandpa asking Johnny for a permit on Christmas morning
