I've been thinking of getting a conceal carry gun lately and I'm really digging the all metal frame of the Walther PPK. but I was wondering if the cheaper Bersa Thunder was worth it? it seems like half the money for basically an identical gun, albeit with cheaper fit and finish.
what are your thoughts /k/?
pic unrelated
The Bersa has a much nicer grip and a better trigger.
The PPK really hasn't aged gracefully.
>>33352664
Glock 26 or you're wrong.
I have a ppk, it blows loads. Stove pipes and FTF like crazy. New mags didn't help. But I've heard nice things about the Thunder even though I mentally lump it into other meme guns.
R8 my shtf loadout, /k/

What do you think is in the ballistic vest, dumbass? I keep Al my ratios in there

How long until Railguns become a reality on US warships?
>>33352529
Never
>>33352529
Define reality. One could be placed on a ship (not a destroyer or suchlike) this very year.
>>33352529
It depends on what Mattis wants.
What do you guys think of urban carry?
>like the foot steps of a navy SEAL
>>33352448
fpbp
"Urban" carry.
Like anyone living in an urban environment would buy that POS
So I bought this stuff because it was cheap as fuck and I figured it would be the same as Brake Cleaner / "Gun Scrubber" (3x cost Brake Cleaner with gun logos)
It's not kek.
On the bright side it did strip the fouling.

sometimes I spray a little Purple Power on a microfiber towel and wipe my slide. it works
>>33352415
I use coolant from cnc machine. It's rust inhibiting and easy to get off. It has some bacteria in it so don't touch it with open wounds on your hand.

foreal???
Give me one reason why the ENTIRE U.S. Military doesn't wear a general use olive-green coverall uniform?
>MILLIONS saved in uniform experimentation
>efficiency in foul work
>easily replaced ($50.00 for one set)
>easier to wear/pack (no pant/top combo)
And you could still design sets for different branch specific designs and include Velcro patching for unit patches...
>>33352397
Coveralls are kind of shitty in hot environments where you will need to de-blouse or even just taking an expedient field shit.
Because we haven't deployed in a predominately olive-green environment in decades and people like being able to take a shit without taking all their clothes off.
>easily replaced ($50.00 for one set)
Not if you want fire retardant ones
>And you could still design sets for different branch specific designs and include Velcro patching for unit patches...
Wow, branch specific uniforms? Like we have right now?
>>33352397
The Army tried camo coveralls during WW2 in the pacific. The uniforms were withdrawn because them men couldn't get undressed fast enough to take a shit.
What aircraft is capable of this?
Any modern American heavy bomber, and with a lot less ordnance.
>>33352187
capable of dropping unguided shit and has shit tier camera stabilization>?
i dunno, generic slav shit #8?
>>33352187
>aircraft
Try GRAD missiles launched out of a truck, only the very ending was from an aircraft
can /k/ help me identify these guns. I don't know much about guns and I'd like to know what they are.
Post stamps on the guns. That being said, bottem two revolvers look like Iver Johnsons probably, top maybe a Model 10 or colt derivative and autoloader is maybe an older .32?
>>33352141
>>33352197
Top left is definitely a S&W model 10 or M&P. Need to see the other side though to know which.
The Remington Model 8 is the most elegant and arousing semi-auto rifle ever made.Prove me wrong.

I just bought this trash 80% lower because I'm broke. Where can I get the best parts like $300-400
>>33352082
80% finished polymer? Good luck with that.
Look through Palmetto State Armory's page.
From time to time you can buy a complete AR for $450 or less.
>>33352082
>>33352261
PSA is where I got my parts kit, check their sales page or wait until they have another big sale, kits get super cheap.

The guy in the link spent 470-some dollars and made a nice budget gun. Afterwards you can save your pennies on upgrading it.
Realistically the best, BARE BONES, you'll spend on a AR is in the 500 range. Any less and you're just buying trash.
Pic absolutely not related. At your budget, you'll wish it was though.
Hey what's a good helmet for my stickman setup?
Here's what I have so far.
Also post your own stickman setups and critique!
i think his was a batting helmet

I want to get a Ruger American in .22 rimfire, mainly because it has irons. I've never owned a gun before and I basically just want it for plinking, and don't want to spend hundreds on an optic if I'm just gonna be shooting melons. Does anybody have any experience with the Ruger American? Are there any .22 bolt rifles you would consider to be better than it?
I'm in the Ruger vs Savage conundrum myself. I like Ruger, but Savage makes good rimfires and are usually 2/3 price of the Ruger American.
>>33351792
They are good guns. As a alternative, the 10/22 is the obvious suggestion, but if you want a bolt gun I would look at a CZ 455. They have a bunch of models.
Also you don't need to spend hundreds on a optic for a .22, any scope from a decent company around 50-100 bucks would be fine for the ranges that .22 is good for.
what guns does /k/ keep in their truck?
i keep a glock 20 under the back seat, with 3 mags loaded. and an lcp in the center console. if anyone has suggestions to changes, im all ears.
I just have my EDC piece on myself - glock 26 - so no truck/car gun.
>>33351602
i was thinking of putting an AK or AR under the back seats. think its a good idea? maybe a couple thousand rounds under the seats.
so in case the zombies ever come, i dont need to drive back to my home to be prepared. ive put a lot of thought into this, and i dont want to overlook anything, so i was hoping someone on /k/ would give a suggestion or two.
