What is the appeal of these things? I have fired a couple of them before, but not enough to make a proper judgement for them other than the fact that they're okay to shoot and fairly lightweight despite being a milled gun.
However, they seem to be very limited in terms of parts and accessory, not to mention the proprietary magazine and looking like a failed abortion.
I've seen a number of people being extremely vocal about them in the couple past month and i'm genuinely curious on what makes them revere the damn thing.

they're non restricted in canada while all AKs are prohibited, and they're generally of more consistent quality than american built AKs

other than that it's kind of just preference, you can load them via stripper clip which makes them appealing for cuckifornians I guess because it allows easy loading with a fixed magazine
>>
>>33421149
Century was selling them for $400 with 5 magazines a while back.

At the going rate I don't understand
>>
>>33421149
If you live in the US, not much.
You can get a an Arsenal or other decent AK for less than the Czechpoint vz58's.

Who bought one of these little beauties when they were $200?

I did, and HOLY HELL I would have one at twice the price.
>all metal
>3 dot sights
>double stack 12 rd mag
>ambidextrous safety and mag release
>chrome-lined bore
>polygonal rifling
>DA/SA with second-strike capability
>very good trigger with positive reset you can feel through heavy gloves
>easy to strip, clean and reassemble
>comes with all the Czech police accessories
>astonishing accuracy
>flawless reliability

The only downsides are the relatively low-power 9x18 Makarov, which is only a little hotter than .380, and the somewhat largish grip, which makes it more difficult to conceal than other handguns of this size.

The first issue is an easy fix: Just use JHP, as you would with .380. The second issue is only relevant relative to, as I said, "guns of that size". It is approximately as easy to conceal as most (slighty larger) double-stack compact 9mm. (glock, XD, etc etc. )

If you can find one in the $250 range still, snap it up!!

do gunsmiths fix these things when they break ?

or do they treat it like bersa shit and say - sorry just get another one, not worth fixing

Wasn't the CZ-83 in .380 ACP? Were those issued to czech police or just the 82?

How realistic are the guns in these games? I bought Sniper Elite 3 today and I'm quite fond of the weapons there.

FYI:
I have never fired a gun in my life, I only watch gun youtubers and read /k/. Will be allowed to own one in 2 years

>>33420879
The games themselves are highly unrealistic in gameplay and from what I can see in youtube videos, so are the weapons. Bullets seemingly do not yaw, ricochet, tumble or fly off course at all despite penetrating through bones, helmets and people.
From what little I played through a demo, it seems to be Sniping - As Understood By Hollywood.

So I recently purchased a CZ-75 SP-01 and took it to the range last week. 250 rounds were put through it and I love this gun.

Any advice on the next gun I should buy? I've been looking at the S&W M&P Sport II

I'm also looking for a good range bag and where to purchase bulk ammo and what ammo is good.

Basically a new to guns thread.

Pic related, first time shooting.

M&P sport II is a good option if you want a basic AR that's already built. MidwayUSA has good rangebags of different sizes.

http://aviationweek.com/combat-aircraft/japan-uk-fighter-project-sign-closer-defense-partnership

>Britain and Japan will look at jointly developing a fighter, probably for entry into service in the 2030s. The surprising move is the latest bringing the two countries closer in defense technology. Even if an Anglo-Japanese fighter does not emerge in the end, BAE Systems is likely to be interested in assisting Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) in an indigenous combat aircraft program.

Well this was a surprise

Pretty cool, I'm glad the UK is paying attention to the Pacific and Far East, anything to stack the odds a little bit more against China. The heyday of British aircraft design is long since over but I expect that a Brit/Jap fighter would have the potential to be excellent.

Where are some good places in PA to go innawoods? Was thinking of doing the stalker challenge, but I live near Philly. Poconos, maybe?

Also, what would be a good bear rifle for such an occasion? I wanted a nugget but decent ones are expensive as fuck now. Should I just get a 12? Or a boltgun? I would kinda dig a scout rifle like a mossberg patrol, but I know fuck all about innawooding.

Can /k/ convince me NOT to buy one of these?

>Price 560 CHF (Same in USD)

Does this actually benefit the Glock 19 in any way or is it just a standard tacticool shit?

Is it even used by any LEOs around the world or military forces? Is it a good substitute for a pistol caliber carbine?

>>33420080
Well, the whole idea of the rifle/carbine & pistol is having a main and a conceal or backup. Many carbines use the same mags as your backup if you choose them correctly.

Why have a sub 2000 or 995? Well, stability & better aim. The idea is if you have a failure you can fall back on your pistol. If you only have a pistol in a plastic can and you have a failure then you are in some deep shit.

I'm trying to help my GF put together a cheap Colt SMG clone for home defense, and I'm struggling to find a decent muzzle device to pin and weld to a 10.5-11in barrel so she won't need a cuck stamp for the thing. Any recommendations? The options for 1/2-36 threads seem to be limited. Pic somewhat related.

If you haven't bought the barrel yet, just buy a longer barrel you jackass.

If you have bought the barrel, you are probably stuck with a fake can. Longest muzzle devices that come to mind are Griffin Armament XM177 and other various other "moderator" clones/knockoffs. However they are almost assuredly for .223, using 1/2x/28 threads at that.

Or just use a pistol tube
>hurr durr

Don't be completely infantile.
>>
>>33419761
Haven't bought anything yet. Just want to build the thing as light as possible and figured that using a short barrel with a pinned flashcan would be the way to go. I want her to be able to shoulder the fucking thing at an indoor range without triggering autistic screeching.
>>
>>33419772
You will need a 13.7(?) barrel for a KX3/KX5

If you can find a moderator clone for 9x19, you will need 12 3/4

14.5 and the world is your oyster

A pistol tube and the world is your oyster

Protip just use """cheekweld""" if you care that much about what everyone thinks at the range

Lets get a thread started about some of them sexy silet problem solvers.

So my neighbor has been feeding deer (illegally) for a decade and has managed to singlehandedly cause an ecological nightmare.

The weak ones that should have died are living, and they are grossly overpopulated now. Like, theres herds of 50 and 60 deer that should have starved this winter but he just keeps buying bigger and bigger bags of grain.

Whats worse, hes began shooting peoples dogs for barking at the deer with a .22 pellet rifle. Look, I and the fellow people in this area really do work hard to keep our dogs under control but when 30 gimpy inbred lame deer come stumbling and limping their way through your driveway theres not a dog on this planet that can resist.

So anyways I figured I, my 2 brothers, my cousins, and any of my hunting buddies I can call this season are gonna kill this fuckers pet deer. Should be abput 15 of us with a couple of tags each.

We are going to set up inside the treeline on my property with archery equipment and take em out as they migrate across my land to his place for their nightly feeding.

Weve been calling the game warden about this asshole for 3 years and they wont do shit so were gonna eat his stupid fuckin pet deer.

Icing on the cake, hes a californian. I bought this puppy just for the occaision.
