Knife thread.
I am looking at this knife:
https://www.amazon.com/TRH-002-Custom-Handmade-Damascus-Tracker/dp/B01GD1S8OY/ref=s9_simh_gw_g200_i1_r?_encoding=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=&pf_rd_r=T86EKGX8EGPC30A32R9D&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=781f4767-b4d4-466b-8c26-2639359664eb&pf_rd_i=desktop
Is this a good buy? What should I look for in Damascus steel? What should I look to avoid?
>>33427655
when you buy damascus steel it comes in this icky paste-like stuff
its fucking annoying to take off so I would just get something else
also damascus steel will rust in like 3 days
I think its snake oil honestly
>>33427675
So it takes more care and attention? How is it retaining an edge?
>>33427655
Damascus freak me out, because it's pretty, and I use the fuck out of knives.
>high carbon>stainless
Which do you prefer and why? If anyone has experiences with both I'd like to hear them. RDB is Dugan approved, based on pic related.
If I had a choice, AUG. but realistically I'd go with the cheaper RDB
Bump
rdb for downward ejecting goodness.
Anyone got 'em? I had pic related done today because I'm a Slavboo with turbo autism.
>>33427085
haha wow...that's terrible
>>33427085
cringe
it's okay to have a communist star (being communist is good duh) but if it's firearm related that's just creepy

lol did you do this tattoo with a g2 Pilot pen?
What makes a /k/ommando?
What got us into weapons to the point that we've essentially create a culture revolving around it on this board?
Can anyone be a /k/ommando or does it take a certain type of person?
Let me clarify that I know that the gun culture exists outside of this board, its just that our spin on it has evolved into something else entirely
>>33426830
>What got us into weapons to the point that we've essentially create a culture revolving around it on this board?
Wait, are you shocked that we talk about guns on a gun related board?
>>33426830
Probably some sort of mental illness.
Most likely gender dysphoria.
This seems like the best place to get answers
I can delete this thread and move it if anyone has a better idea of where to go.
I found this bag in a house that was lives in by marine that served from 1940 I believe, until he died. Anyone know what it's called, or what it was used for? I can make speculation, considering the contents. I can't find much online.
More pictures to come, thanks.
What did the cops do right, what did they do wrong, /k/?
I thought it was pretty well done aside from infinite ammo tv mode.
What show is this?

at one point the suspect had concealment behind some bread trays where the cop's had cover behind concrete poles. At that point I'd seriously consider opening fire. Imminent risk of death, need to treat those wounded etc.
Could have justified it.

19-2, the American version
When mounting an optic, how do you determine where you attach it to the rail? Is it just where ever is most comfortable to the shooter or is there some general rule to abide by?
Look at your scopes manual and figure out the eye relief, then figure out a spot within that window that feels natural.
For my red dots I put them pretty far back.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>r9k, no friends faggot
Hello /k/.
I want to fly a P-51 mustang.
If I devoted my life to learning the controls exclusive to the P-51, by all means necessary, I could do it.
I know for sure that P-51s are relatively avalible to the public. Hell, you can even BUY THEM.
>http://www.platinumfighters.com/n51tc
If these sunnuvabitches are for SALE (for millions of dollars) I don't think simply wanting to fly one, once, is too much of an outlandish request.
I have tons and tons of resources to learn from. I could pick up handbooks, manuals, talk to veterans in the air force, read online. I could 100% learn all I needed to know to fly one. There is nothing preventing me from doing anything necessary. At some point in my life, I could actually fly or even OWN a P-51.
Need more reasoning? How about the fact that P-51s are still being flown? They're not being flown by veterans from WWII, they're flown by experienced pilots. Most of which are probably civilian. What I'm trying to say is that, yes, I could very well work my way up to being cleared to fly a P-51. It's totally possible and within reach, as long as I work really, really hard to get 5 or 4 million dollars. I could convince investors to loan me sums of money and pay them back via airshow fundraising.
It could happen. It WILL happen. I will be flying a P-51 mustang, one way or another, soon.
Prove me wrong.
>>33426358
As a followup I am 26 years old and currently in training to be a pilot, so age range/experience isn't much of an issue. My grandfather flew in a Whitworth Whitley in WWII so I have military background.
>>33426358
Here's a (you) from the awesome PBY sex yacht thread, anon
>>33426586
thanks... nobody cares about my awesome post here on /k/.
How do you like your P320, /k/? I've only put about 50 rounds through it but I love it. It's a .40 btw. It's the P320C but it's not quite a carry as it's not much smaller than the full size.
I think I'm going to get a P226 next. What Sigs do you use, /k/, what are your favorites? I'm looking at some rifles but we'll get to that later.
>>33426328
Sigs are garbage.
Quality control is garbage.
special editions are laughable.
Their service is shit.
Only grunts who get them issued because they're bottom dollar and man children not in the know carry them.
You're a fag for buying one.
>>33426328
Mine's been great. Full size in 9mm, about 1000 rounds of steel case through it with no malfunctions, going to be putting at least 1500 more through it in the next few months.
Ergos could be a bit better imo, takedown lever rubs on my thumb while I'm shooting.

Machine Guns
M-400
>Often considered a fully automatic anti-material rifle, the M-400 uses the .408 Cheytac as its ammunition. Having 2 fire modes, closed bolt semiautomatic, and open bolt full automatic at 350 rpm.
Fed from 50 round belts this machine guns fills two roles, a long range marksman rifle and a portable heavy machine gun for anti vehicle use.
You could have just said "Wouldn't a .50 AE SMG be cool?", the nationstates faux-history autism was unnecessary.
>>33426154
>pathetic .50 AE

kys
Isn't there a .338 belt fed?
Going to the gun range to fire my first ever weapon tomorrow, any suggestions?
>>33425926
Put the barrel in your mouth as a prank.
>>33425926
if you end up buying one make sure you soak the gun in vinegar as soon as you get home to break in the gun, jams will be less frequent
most if not all gun shops are too cheap to do this so you have to do it yourself
Practice your fast draw. Tuck it in the front of your pants if they don't give you a holster.
Need a knife for self protection. In college so something concealable and small would be nice.

you're not allowed to have either on campus so why not go all the way.
