What kind of bullet does /k/ love to shoot the most? Can be a range round, hunting, or just because it looks cool.

2 3/4" 12g slugs.
the twelve gauge pump action rifle round.

Would a shirt with a checkered pattern but also camo colors work? Could it break an outline up or is it too repeating?

I had the idea but I guess I'm not the only one that's ever thought of it. Would be neat to have a stealth camo pattern that you could wear in public without looking like a surplusfag.

The question is simple: What historical battle would you like to see a movie made of? You can also choose a specific director and actors, if you would like to add.

Personally my two options would be a epic about the Battle of Kursk, filmed with german and russian actors, just like the Longest Day, or a movie about the Siege of Calais in 1940, because let us be honest, I doubt someone will ever do a movie about the latter.

Cook County fags help me out here.
So I'm looking to get a pistol, and I've already bought a rifle. But, the law is that anybody under 21 cannot buy a handgun on their own ( I'm 19). If I were to get a family member above the age of 21 with a FOID (such as my sister), can she gift it to me or something like that? I remember when I bought my rifle I had to get it registered under my dad's name because I wasn't 18 yet.

What do?

>>
>>33449004
You can legally own and buy a handgun at age 18, just not from an FFL.
>>
>>33449004
you can but I think you could get in trouble if you're overt about it
just don't brag about how you got and you should be fine
>>
>>33449004
That'd be a straw purchase. The line between that and gifting is complicated, but if you give her money and she buys a gun then gifts it to you theres a very good chance she's lying on her 4473. You probably won't get caught, but theres a lot of pressure to make an example what with Chicago's homicide rate.

Wait a couple years.

What is /k/'s top choices for loaner guns?

I'm an instructor and figure I should have at least one centerfire pistol to loan out to students (5 or less per class, mostly private lessons). Looking for striker-fired suggestions, as I already have DA/SA covered. Preferably something with smaller grips to make it easier for those with babby hands

My top ideas (Including Mil discounts, and mag prices) were the Canik TP9SF, Ruger sr9, S&W SD9VE and M&P.

seriously just get a glock and let them treat it like shit especially since you can get blue label prices

glock 19 gen4. They will hold their value and meet all your requirements.

Hi-Point. Seriously, you can get 2 or more. Excellent warranty. Hard for them to screw them up honestly as it has a break down pin.

>In opposing the proposal, the Times argues the bill is backed by firearms sellers “eager to cash in on what has become a vanity item” at the expense of public safety.

>"If the bill succeeds, ending the $200 tax and the vetting period, silencers will be much more available to the public,” notes the paper. “Inevitably, they will show up in the hands of the mass shooters who indulge macho fantasies in brandishing the adapted military assault weapons and large ammunition clips available in the civilian market. Before congressional lawmakers give in to the gun lobby’s latest twisted demand, they had better ask themselves why they would want to help muffle a shooter’s deadly deeds.” -New York Times

I saw that editorial and I was livid, it was a load of horseshit. They have no historical perspective and don't understand that anybody who wants a suppressor can practically order one off of Amazon or buy the components at a car parts store.

This was the first time I've ever been mad enough to write a letter to the editor, I hope they enjoy their (You).

The saddest thing about people who write shit like this is that they don't understand that normal people aren't the ones shooting up schools. It is psychotic individuals, and instead of looking for solutions to reduce the number of psychotic individuals in society (you can argue the methods), they intend to limit the amount of harm they can do with faulty methods.

But what that means is that libs are perfectly fine with living in a society full of psychotic people as long as they don't have easy access to guns. They have so little foresight to realize that even if these people have zero access to guns, they will just carry out their psychotic tendencies in other forms. How terrifying is that?

Also, question for you guys.

If you had a black powder gun pointed at you (loaded loose, no cartridge) and you slapped the barrel down hard, would the powder and shot fall out? Smoothbore or rifled.

bullets are oversized where a lead ring is cut off when the bullet is inserted or theres wadding
its not going to roll out.

Short answer is: Depends, probably not, as ramming it home should help embed it in the powder charge.

>>33448205
>bullets are oversized where a lead ring is cut off
US Civil war myth encouraged by shitty reenactors. The overwhelming majority of round ball bullets were produced by gravity drop via a shot tower, forming near perfectly round balls faster, easier and in higher production. Leaving sprue on your bullet fucks up your shot as well by creating more internal bounce in the barrel, among other things.

I have an idea for a revolver cartridge. Basically it's a .32 caliber bullet in a .357, .41, or .44 magnum case. Could it work? Also would it be able to pierce body armor?

Pic unrelated.
