Damn that thing looks like a 3 Musketeers bar.
I don't know why the pics upload upside down and shit
>>33477698
Huh?
I bought an FNX-9 while waiting on pistol permit here in good ol NY. It fit my hand perfectly and according to reviews its a solid pistol.
Did I dun goof?
its overshadowed by glocks and the m&p but its perfectly fine.
>>33477547
I have a thing for hammer fired DA/SA handguns. Striker fired pistols just dont do it for me. However the lack of aftermarket saddens me.
Have you shot it yet?
Was thinking of getting one too.
So I've been a gun hobbyist and /k/ browser for some time now and I'm starting to think that I would like to start smithing some simple firearms more or less just for my own amusement.
Ideally I'd like to start on a simple platform like a break action shotgun. Problem is that for as good as I am with basic firearms maintenance and marksmanship I don't really know Jack shit about metals, alloys, woodworking, metalworking, etc. Additionally I don't as of yet have any applicable tools either.
So to put it simply how would I take up learning about simple manufacturing processes required to make a simple but respectable firearm?
Not talking slamfire garage gats. Something I could take pride in.

Seen this one yet?

This is pretty great actually, thanks.
Additionally how/where do I go about finding gun schematics for me existing designs?
What is the plane saying /k/?

If the m1919 weights 31 pounds and the m240b weights 28 pounds.
How the fuck did they manage to spend decades saving 3 pounds? And add needless moving parts.
What was the point?
>>33477116
unless you're mounted to a tripod or a vehicle. You want some weight. it helps stabilized the gun.
If you want a 7.62 automatic weapon to last, you generally have to overbuild it. That means weight.
>>33477116
They did a little better when they gave the Minimi steroids.
Could probably even shed a little more weight if they didn't have what appears to be six rails on the forward end.
Looking into getting a gun when I move back to the US of A. any recommendations on what I should get?

If you could change anything about gun culture in America today, what would it be?
I'm not talking about laws, as we all know everyone would say abolish the NFA or import bans, but more about the culture itself, whether it's gun company or consumer culture.
I'll start:
>Pic related
I wish manufacturers would stop turning their guns into billboards. I know it's to cover their own ass legally, but I think it ruins the aestics of any gun you find it on. Ruger is particularly bad about it. Hell, maybe go even farther and not have any visible text on the gun, except for maybe the S/N.
>>33476847
Agreed.
Also, it would be far less segregated
(I'm looking at you, AR-fags.)
People wouldn't ONLY give a shit about stuff that "only affects them"
Fuck that.
>>33476847
On some guns it looks good.
And don't forget.

That we all just accept that we should love all guns.
Alright guys, I might be taking a trip to Europe this Sept, really want to see that old world art and architecture and drink at a real Irish pub, however with all the beautiful and tolerant cultural enticement going on, I want a means to defend myself. Obviously toting a gun around Europe will be impossible, so my current idea is to make a plastic sword that can be broken down. How feasible is this? I know there are plastics on similar levels to metal in terms of tensile strength but I have my doubts about them properly holding an edge. As far as the takedown aspect of the weapon, I can 3D print it with screws or dowels or whatever it needs. Price isn't really an issue. Any thoughts?

Just stab them with a screwdriver like everyone else without autism.
1. /k/ is not a good place to get law advice.
2. Europe is not a single state, the laws vary between countries.
3. You are gay for thinking about a sword. You should be thinking about a batton.
Hey /k/ help me cure my autism. Can I throw an AK gas block front sight on an RAS47 and not fuck it up?
>>33476764
>RAS47
It's already fucked up.
With a weapon with a pseudo fixed barrel, like a P.38 or P.08, would adding a muzzle brake to it effect its functionality?
I would assume the venting gasses would take away enough of the backpressure that it might not have reliable cycling.
>>33476916
Bubba no.
How exactly did Colt's snakeguns get so expensive?
Scarcity and quality of product. Take an econ class famalam.
>>33476466
They're still more valuable than low-batch target shooting pistols, though, that's what I don't understand. And from what I've read, they're not much more desirable than a high quality S&W.
People treat Pythons like they're Greek Fire("We don't know how to make them anymore!").
I admit it's a quality gun but so many people have made it into an icon(Darn Walking Dead didn't help.)that prices rose to meet the demand. Anacondas also. I've seen them go for stupid money.
Yo /k/, I'm a total gun noob, and since I'm 19, I can't get a handgun. Can the /k/ommandos recommend me a good shotgun for newbies?
>>33476407
Taurus Judge
>>33476407
Get a stoeger. They're cheap, but a decent quality. Unless you're looking for something more specific than "a good shotgun."
>>33476409
:^)
Why didn't the sniper shoot him again?
>>33476349
Why would he? An additional shot would help the enemy locate him and leaving him there, crying for his mother is likely to make another enemy come help him, giving the sniper an additional target.
>>33476349
leave the wounded alive so you can shoot the people who try to save them.
>>33476371
Haha noobs pwned. They really should make recruits to play CoD.

Are ATVs a decent shtf vehicle in you are in more rural areas, could be used as a casevac vehicle, qrf vehicle, isn't to hard to maintain and can get most places.
Also is there any major difference between military and civilian ATVs other than just the added framework for carrying litters?
