Which of these is a better deal, and M and P shield for $420 byt has a $75 mail in rebate to make it $350 or a springfield XD essential for $440 with 4 extra magazines with purchase? a rock island island arms m206 .38 special for about $250?
You shouldn't spend more than $375 on a new 9mm Shield, rebate or not. Also, don't rely on rebates for good deals. Being out $75 for 4 months is a bitch and not worth it. Lurk moar for a better shield deal. As for the old XD, that's an alright deal I guess.
>>33504100
The rebate is a mfg rebate, so it should be available wherever you buy the shield, so print the form, make sure it didn't specify vendor or an oddball sku, then go but the shield for a lower price elsewhere.
XDs are sub par.
Cheap shit .38 snubbies are cheap shit snubbies. Don't know them, I'm not interested in them.
>>33504163
ya i need to start lurking in this sub more for sure, i just became aware of it But im basically in the market now for a very affordable but decent quality hand gun. Also i should mention I live in CA so i think fire arms prices are a little bit higher here than any other state.

What's your budget and Off campus quarters generally looking like?
Would this be survivable in the field?
>>33523060
Maybe, if you get a really good medic to prep you and get sent to a field hospital within the hour
But in the opening minutes of the Normandy Invasion?
No chance in hell

How much of your intestines are still attached and inside you? If a fair amount is laying on the ground (or simply outside your body) but still attached, just wipe it off and try to realign with this picture in mind. Try avoid crushing anything important.

>chat it up for a minute, talking about how much you could increase aim stability with a foregrip and a comp

>"we really only let the SOCOM guys use these, but you're pretty good. So I'll let you put some of this on your rifle."
>put an AFG, IR sniper scope, and a silencer on my rifle
>score perfect on my shooting qual
needless to say, I was guide and honor graduate and went to Special Ops training right after that. Told them I didn't even want my 10 days of leave, I couldn't look at my family the same way...

What are advantages and disadvantages to direct gas impingement in ARs?
>>33522519
None because ARs are not direct gas impingement.
>>33522533

Self Defense Edition
Didn't see one in the catalog and I got a question:
I live in Tejas and I know it is perfectly legal to have a loaded pistol in your vehicle even without an LTC. My question is in what way is it acceptable to use it if I dont have an LTC?
Would getting out of my vehicle to defend myself be legal? Or am I limited to shooting from inside the vehicle? I feel like I am overthinking it but the law is vague and open to interpretation. Technically it should be okay to leave the inside of your vehicle to deal with a life threatening individual(s) but I feel with my luck I'd get charged with unlawful carrying of a loaded weapon or perhaps something more severe.
I've submitted all things required to get my LTC and now its just playing the waiting game but until then I'm limited to just carrying in my vehicle.

South African here, almost everyone in my family has a swivel shotgun located on each door on their car. Some cunt break the window you swivel the shottie and blast them straight back to hell. Pile of mess but it's good bloody mess that'll deter other assailants.
>>33503579
Ay guey!
*note to self: dont be a cunt in SA.... or generally ever
>>33503463
Your vehicle is considered an extension of your property
You can use it to stop any felonious crime, within justification
Honestly it all depends on the context of the situation
/k/, what would you do with $1250 in singles and fives?

Sup fuc/k/ers after working the summer I should have around a thousand dollars to spend and I want to get a semi auto rifle. I'm deciding between an AR-15, AR-10, or an AK-74. I also want to get an optic, an illuminated scope. What are the pros and cons of each and which one should I choose?

What's the furthest distance that you'd ever shot at a target and hit it?
>>33521574
The Earth. Most bullets. A long way.
depends. does the target have to be intentional?
>>33521574
A mere 400 metres with an RK62. Never had the chance to shoot further than that. No such ranges in the area and no private land.
I saw this and I want it but it is an NFA item. I have no clue what that means can someone explain it? Also, anyone have one of these? They good/fun?
>>33503326
Turns yur glock into an sbr u faggot
>>33503326
It means it's a firearm regulated by the NFA. These are referred to as Title II firearms. They require registration on the NFRTR. In order to register them a form is submitted (in your case it would be a Form 4 to transfer to an individual) with your information to the ATF and you are charged a fee of 200 dollars.
>>33503365
So a $200 item is now $400? Might as well just buy a legal carbine then.
Does anyone in the military have something positive to say about females in their unit?
>>33503286
