This is the only weapon I've got. What is the best kind of place to legally purchase firearms for a decent price?
t. Arizonan
Armslist, a gun show, google "gun stores near me" and call them or stop by and shop.
Find something you like and feel if it's good in your hands, look up reviews. Shop online and see if you can get a better deal.
After that, determine which is best place to purchase it and buy it.

Thanks!

>Arizona
You're in luck. Arizona's one of the best states out there if you want guns.
What's your favorite gun/location combo, /k/?
Any of them/in my hand
As Clint Eastwood famously said:
"I believe in gun control. If there is a gun around, I want to control it."

What is the deal whit Rhodesia and /K/. I don't get it. What happen between 65-80?
>>33538645
It's seen by many to be the pinnacle of successful COIN operations and it was done on a shoe string budget, and short shorts. The country was a white minority rule that wanted to take the long route to full integration, which many people didn't like as they saw what was happening in South Africa and how fucked up it was and didn't want Apartheid 2.0 right next door.
>>33538645
You can check the archive or Google.
tldr;
Rhodesia was the trial run for White Genocide world wide.
S.A. will be Rhodesia 2.0
>People say you need a stainless rifle with a synthetic stock to hunt in the rain
>In WW2 entire armies of men with blued guns and wooden stocks were mobilized everywhere from the south Pacific jungle to the misty shores of Alaska to the plains of Russia.
>>33538602
One of the main reasons you don't hunt in the rain with a wood stock is it can warp over time and impact the accuracy of the rifle. Bluing will protect the metal but requires more care than stainless.
In WWII there was no suitable alternative to wood on a large scale.
Ultimately if you maintain your rifle well then it doesn't matter which.
>>33538637
Modern wood finishes are pretty good at keeping out the rain.
>In WWII there was no suitable alternative to wood on a large scale.
There wasn't really a need for it. Wood worked fine back then, and it works fine today.
>>33538713
That isn't what the guy at the gun counter said. You're just asking for trouble with wood. It will fall apart the first time a little moisture hits it. Thankfully my counter guy was looking out for me and sold me a Remington 770 with a synthetic stock for only $900.
Tell me what'd be like or feel if the 40K military, specifically the Imperium's armed forces were to be in real life or in a realistic scenario?
What superiority would Imperial Guardsmen, Space Marines, Glorified White Haired not!bible wenches/nuns, AdMechs/Skiitarii and the imperium's various war machines have over realistic weaponry, tactics and startegey?
And what "realistic" forces would be able to beat them? Spoiler: None. The Imperium's military wins, as bad (and grimderp as it would sound) a small battallion of Space Marines can easily defeat the entire United States and Russian military combined, no questions.
Also I guess this can be a "/K/ 40K thread" since you /K/ guys seem to approve of Warhammer stuff being posted here.
And xenos and heretics need not apply.
>>33538395
all have bong accents guvnor.
that's pretty much all I got.
>>33538395
Every armored fighting vehicle in 40k pales in comparison to any modern MBT today.
The 40k Imperial infantry are ok. Their Airforce is garbage.
>>33538395
Umm no drones in the Imperium military.
We go full A.I with machines and wipe them out, then die from our creations rebelling.

This is my .357 mag pistol and handi rifle combo for durr and javelina hunting

What rifle is that?
>>33538010
H&R friendo? That is a cool setup

Yup, H&R handi rifle
How true is the following statement?
>The German invasion caught Russia off guard; the USSR was ill-prepared to deal with a springtime offensive. To stall for time while production of arms caught up with demand, they did, occasionally, use human wave tactics (usually only on former prisoners or in penal battalions). By 1943 however the Soviet war machine had been fully brought to bear. Professional soldiers armed with the motherland's finest had been moved into position, and they proceeded to employ good tactics to destroy the German advance.Germany losing to the weather is a myth; sure, snow and cold slowed them down considerably and lead to deaths even. But no, the greatest fighting force of the time did not lose to a season, they lost to Soviet battle strategy in combination with overwhelming numbers.
>>33537877
Not very, it was 1944 when the soviet war machine had finally been brought up to par.
I wish there were more Ju- 52s flying.
Damn sexy plane.
>>33537877
That's true. The weather harmed the Soviets as much as it did the Germans.
Also, the rain was more of a problem than the snow, as it turned all the roads to mud.
Can anybody recommend me a good revolver that's relatively cheap and bigger than .22LR?
>>33537832
The EEA Windicator is a snub-nose .357 (which means it can also fire .38 special, which is cheap enough to shoot all day).
I don't own one, but I've read good things and its on the /k/ approved list of weapons for poor/newfags.
>>33537832
Taurus Model 85
Look up the Rock Island M200. .38spl, good reviews, $235 at Bud's Gun Shop.
There are those semi automatic BAR rifles from Ohio Ordnance.
Have you seen those monsters, anyone got them?
How fucked is a criminal if someone uses them for home defense and shoots several times a home invader with them?
>>33537559
The same as getting shot with any other .30-06 rifle
>>33537559
I mean you can reliably bag a Moose with one round of .30-06, so pretty fucked.
Anything having to do with these wonderful little combloc gifts.
Should I get one, and why?
>>33537496
Civilian target sights or bust.
Maks are certainly decent pistols but they offer absolutely no practical value over anything else, so you might as well get one that shoots accurately as possible.
That or buy a military one for the aesthetic, idc, it's your money.
Makarovs are stolen German designs. This thread is rightful deutsche clay.
>>33537576
Just had mine come in from SOG to my FFL, now I only have to wait 3 days. Nice grips btw
Can I buy the target sights to put on, or no? Also does anyone know if the SOG Maks come with the target sights?
Ok so this might be more /biz/ related but those chodes never help with anything other than investing.
I work a wagecuck job and before I got into guns I was fine with it. I literally give no shits to own a house or the latest and greatest vehicle. As long as I could afford Vidya and Beer I was good.
Fast forward a few years after me and my brother reunite, he gets me into guns and gear all the usual stuff.
Suddenly get huge boner to skrimp and save to build my first AR. I'm addicted as fuck.
Obviously this hobby is not cheap and I still have bills but all I want to do is be able to buy a thousand rounds without feeling like I need to donate plasma to make rent.
Tell me /k/ what do you do for a living? How do you fund your funs? I was debating between something in the medical field or maybe a trade like plumbing.
>>33537443
Don't be in a hurry. I know the temptation of saying "OMG I WANT ALL THE GUNS RIGHT NOOOOOOW!!!", but a good collection takes years to build up. Keep watching Armslist and Gunbroker for good deals - you'll lose a lot of them, but you'll slowly build toward what you want. If you want to do an AR build, don't be afraid to slowly collect the parts you want. Do that, and you won't exactly have to be Bill Gates to afford this hobby.
>>33537443
I'm a biomedical engineer anon, which is a fancy way of saying I couldn't afford med school. I design things and invest most of my earnings, but save money for fun(s). Just do something that is marketable and that you're good at. Less of a market/more competition, the better/more dedicated you'll need to be.
Just pick a job that'll exist in meaningful quantities in ~20 years and acquire a more diversified skillset and you can get whatever guns you damn well please.
>>33537503
I know I guess I'm just jealous of youtubers like Sootch, Mrgunsgear and Vigilantespectre who get to shoot thousands of rounds.
Ghost in the Shell... The future of gun design?

Clear plastic looks weak af
>slide looks like it has cracks
The Asp was the only cool gun with clear poly on it. It's also older than the manga so it's hardly new. That thing looks blockier than a glock and impossible to rack or sight.
Why are they mostly ignored by history
>>33537265
They're nogunz faggot libtard-arts degrees gayboiz, trying to show the rest of the world how evil and terrible war is.
>>33537331
Because a dude taking a photo of dead japs doesn't make for half as good a propaganda story as the guy who killed them
WW1 thread.
Just watched the lost battalion.
