I saw this on gun broker is it worth the money?

Thanks for the tip, going to buy it now

That's nice. That's not what I asked, do you guys think it's worth the money.
Should NATO make the 6.5 the new standard?
Only one that isn't a metal-cased cartridge.
>>33551731
Supposedly some dude made 6.5x45 (6.5 MPC), sorta surprised that it hasn't caught on that much since you only have to change out the barrel, but this guy doesn't really advertise it that much.
Once I finish college and move out state, might try to stamp out some these on my own.
>>33551731
6.5 bullet at 400 yards and a 5.56 bullet at 100 yards have the same energy. 6.5 has longer range, flatter trajectory, more energy, all while still being an intermediate cartridge. I read that US special forces are testing the round right now, I think it would be best to switch, but given the cost of doing so I don't know if it will ever happen.
Lets argue about power armour and other likely future military technology.
What exactly is still needed to make power armour a viable combat unit, Is it just energy requirements at this point? Are we just waiting on some new super battery to come out?
>>33551621
Probably waiting on advancements in plastics too.
Plastic armour would save a fuckload of weight, and allow plates to be put across more areas.
That and probably plastic case rounds to also save weight.
Beyond that it's just energy.
I'm also waiting on a decent army to publicly and overtly put their infantry/combat corps soldiers on Testosterone, probably 2mL a week of Test E.
Plastics and batteries

The best weapons for urban warfare.
>PCCs are just SMGs for pussies
>Rifles aren't as smol
Bonus points for silencers or sliding stocks.

How would you occupy a city of over a million? With modern weapons and technology, It doesn't look very easy. Especially when there's insurgency and guerilla tactics everywhere.
False flagged attacks, artificially created food scarcity accompanied with food aid, contrived external threats, public media campaigns.
Do not go to the people, allow the people to come to you.
Same way the koreans in your image did.
Martial law, biological weapons, zero tolerance for anything.
Make them think you are the good guy
What will be the next big technological leap in weapon technology?
A weapon to surpass Metal Gear
.280 Britbong.
Oh, wait....
How does this make you feel /k/?

i want to get an m1 carbine someday
i've been told it sucks by a few people
aside from the caliber being slightly less common, why is/isn't the m1 carbine a good gat?
>>33551170
The things are a riot anon. 5 1/2 pounds of fun.
The worst thing about owning them is the ammo is too expensive.
The carbine kicks ass, don't let anyone tell you different.
The only issues they have is that ammo is slightly harder to come by (cabelas has their Herters brand which isn't too expensive) and on some abused guns the extractor likes to start to walk out after a couple dozen mags
>>33551195
That's the main thing I keep hearing too. I don't mind shilling out a few more bucks to own some classic gook-killing sex machinery though
Some anons also tell me that the carbines have mechanical problems, but I've never heard of this. Perhaps they were referring to auto-ordinance M1 Carbine replicas that have the shitty aftermarket mags that have feeding issues? Because even the AO M1's work fine with surplus mags, supposedly.
https://www.firearmspolicy.org/urgent_new_nevada_bill_allows_home_invaders_to_sue_you_if_you_shoot_them
>A man’s home is his castle, or so the saying goes. And people should be able to protect their homes - including our most precious asset, our families - against intruders without fear of a lawsuit.
>Some Nevada politicians are trying to change that. They think that you should be financially liable for any injuries they sustain when you defend yourself -- even in your home.
>Does that sound convoluted? It is. And, it’s ridiculous. If someone is invading your home, the last thing you should be thinking about is being sued if you use force to defend yourself or your family.
>Senate Bill 254 removes the provision in Nevada law protecting people from civil liability when they justifiably use potentially deadly force against a person who is injured or killed while invading their home.
>We need YOU to tell them, “I have a right to defend myself against criminals!”
>Senators, here’s a thought: Actions have consequences. When a criminal decides to invade someone else’s property, they just might get hurt or killed as a result - and the criminal’s the only one to blame.
>Contact your legislators today and tell them you oppose this attempt to value the rights of criminals over the rights of law abiding gun owners.

Always shoot to kill. Got it.

Their family will sue you, but at least it still works as a deterrent.
So who's pushing for this faggotry and what's their reasoning?

is there anyone who makes a modern rifle with iron sights like this
or aftermarket
>>33550428
I guess I could put an AK front and rear sight block onto an AR for you..
>>33550428
These tangent sights we're from a time when military doctrine hadn't figured out what kind of realistic engagement distances would be in rifle equipped infantry combat. Sure, maybe on paper your rifle round is effective at 2000 yards, but you probably won't be engaging in a fight at that distance.
The exception, of course being a DMR or sniper role, but you would be using glass for that in any modern application of that role instead of irons.
You are tasked with choosing the resting place of the holy /k/ube.
Which one do you choose?
