Lasers mah niggas, It's finally in use. Starting on drones, moving on to bigger targets.

After seeing kebabs getting splattered and pulped for years, it'll a appropriate to see them getting cooked for once
>>33675731
The lasers are mainly anti-missile. Use of lasers on ground targets is a waste of energy compared to the desired effect.
>>33675747
Can you imagine though? The fucks don't even see the laser, they just start catching fire and burning up. For a little bit, their buddies probably legit think it is allah melting them.
So I've heard about hand crossbows and seen them featured alot in games such as D&D but when I actually try to look them up I can find virtually no useful information on historically accurate ones. I was going to build an interesting historically accurate army in a campaign based on using them but I have no real info on their capabilities. I was wondering if anyone here knew anything and could help me out, or at least point in me in the right direction?
Every crossbow is a hand crossbow
>>33673549
They are useful for applying poison at 15-30 ft, that's about it.
>>33673560
Sorry I meant more in real life than in games
So every time the M1A is mentioned people always say it sucks compared to the higher end M14s, but what in particular sucks about it?
if I have an M1A and get a forged receiver and chrome lined barrel from LRB or someone is that enough to make it not suck?
>>33673388
1. It's Springfield
2. Build your own, it's more fun and you learn why you have to tweak it every 20 rounds
3. Don't give the corporate retards money for designing dogshit like the "SOCOM"
4. Don't give the corporate retards money for blatantly trying to rip you off
5. >Buying M14ery for any reason other than rocking out with your "It ain't me" out
>>33673939
So it's not a bad gun per se, people just hate the company for being just like literally every other modern gun company.
>>33673959
Oh no it's still shit. Once they ran out of m14 receivers they cut corners like it was crunch time at the circle factory. I've looked at new in box ones on the shelves and the fit and finish looks like ass. Miscellaneous metal parts still have burrs and tags left on them from the molding. Once you take the rifle out of the Certified Springfield wooden stock the insides are horrendous.
Post pics of your innawoods pieces. Bonus points for scenery included.
Mine: 9mm carbine, home built from scratch, modeled off the sten design. (Striker fired semi auto.)
I like your home build.
This is my Innaswamp. Beat to shit, but accurate enough to hit.
Kind of a hard call between this, my AK74 and my A2 clone. The other two are better rifles IMO but something about 7.62x39 deserves to be in the woods
>>33672256
Hey man, if you cant beat yer innawwoods gun to shit and feel satisfied life aint worth livin. If I wanted to see pristine fresh outta the plastic shit I woulda started a range-queen thread.
>>33672280
I feel ya, I got an AK too, I carry it when I get bored carrying my garage build. 7.62x39 is an excellent woods cartridge, it basically hits like a 30-30 minus fudd factor.
I have 4 old lythium batteries that I plan on shooting with a pellet gun. Should I charge them first? What are some good ideas to make it fun? Maybe bathe them in gasoline for a few hours?
yes
charge them first
>>33671844
That is cool as shit, I'm going to have a bad time looking for their chargers since they are all from different old cameras.
>>33671844
what the fuck, lythium batteries fucking napalm if punctured?
Sup guys, looking for suggestions on improvised riot gear (not bullet stopping power), just something that could withstand a solid beating/allow you to block a baseball bat with your arms/legs and maybe take a brick to the head. Lightweight and flexible enough to be able to fight back and run well would be nice too. I looked at motorcross armor and skii hemlets. Motorbike helmets seemed good but are heavy hot and restrictive, I live in a warm climate and riot gear/stab proof/bullet proof items get you jail time here (Australia). Just looking to make a civil unrest pack. I do legally own a couple of rifles that would solve most of my problems in this situation. So just looking for suggestions on what I could use? everything from feet to hands/head/face. I am generally curious on what you might use to outfit yourselves if law enforcement or military grade gear was not available.
Just throw molotovs at the fascists from a distance.
>>33671778
Fencing helmets.
Baseball helmets.
Really any sports equipment.
Don't be in a riot.
What is the cheapest I can buy or build an AR-10?

You're not going to like it.

From what I can tell, most common lever action rifles, like 1894s and Marlin 336s, lock up by pushing a big piece into the bolt like in pic. But then the Savage 99, and modern pump action shotguns have bolts that lock into the reciever itself, which to me seems way stronger and cheaper. Is this true, and if so why doesn't anybody make a lever/pump action rifle with this mechanism?
I quite enjoy the subject of improvised fighting vehicles, hillbilly armor, and other such creations, but haven't been able to find very much on the topic. Could you /k/omrades help me out?
To my knowledge there isnt a, pardon the pun, technical manual on technicals. What do you want to know? General methodology is take an existing vehicle, add armor in select areas and mou t some sort of crew served weapon. Be it a 50 cal or recoil-less rifle or something similar.
>>33668882
Honestly? I'd like to know everything.
Pretty unrealistically, I think it would be cool to make my own.
>>33668937
>take literally any vehicle
>put a big gun in it
done
There's fancier technicals out there, armored and with rocket launchers, but usually any vvehicle-mounted gun will do, like an M2.
Did we reach peak aesthetic with the Vietnam War? Music, culture, uniform, weapons, everything.
We reached peak aesthetic with Desert Storm/Gulf War 1.
Those were the good old days. The military was shit ever since it left Vietnam.

First for O'Leary, he is the only candidate qualified enough to beat Maxime Bernier!
Second for turning in all Ruger 10/22 magazines that hold a capacity greater than ten rounds.
It is our duty to keep the North strong and free; in all of us command.
>>33667262
Wrong, Maxime Bernier is the best candidate in the Conservative race. Furthermore we have some other issues.

that is all literally shit you can get from Ace Hardware or any basic hardware store.
Why did the Sherman always lose 5:1 against the Panzer IV?
Was it its gasoline engine or its thin armor?
>>33663718
They didn't call it a "Ronson" and "Burger Blaster" for nothing anon.
Sheldon Cooper also says it was an absolutely death trap, and I'll take the word of a man who's been there and done in, as opposed to some fat fuck historian 70 years later.
