I've been arrested for having weed and a weed pipe a couple times but I think it was just a ordinance violation. I ordered my gun but now I'm worried about being denied. I've never had a felony or been to jail. If I get denied am I still able to get my money back?

Hey guys. I'm not big on guns but I just received this double barrel shotgun from my grandfather. He willed it to me but my parents didn't tell me until I began moving out.
Anyway, is it worth taking this to a gunsmith to get it looked over? I'm not dying to own a gun but I figure if I do have one I might as well make sure it works and buy some ammo for it. However, I'm not sure if it'd be better to just buy one that hasn't been sitting in storage for a decade. I've looked it over and from what I can tell the rear trigger doesn't work. The barrel diameter is .5" and I found BOITO stamped on it. No idea how old it is.
Take it to a smith. Even cheap doubles are worth something. And I'm guessing it isn't that old so it's likely safe to shoot.
>>35021762
Nigga that is an heirloom. Your grandfather left you that gun. Keep it, use it, respect it. Make sure your kids can one day use it as well.

This. That's got sentimental value man. It's your old grandpops double barrel. Get it cleaned up just to have as a keepsake.
Hey, why don't we select a few thousand of our best troops - thereby degrading the rest of the army - and drop them way behind enemy lines lightly equipped, unsupported and surrounded by superior heavy forces and with no way to extract them? What could go wrong?
Seriously, who thought large-scale parachute operations were a good idea?

What will replace it?
M1A3
If anything, they'll make a new version with an all-new turret, and then later roll out a new version with an all-new hull, such that the M1a6 is a completely new tank.
They're already doing it with the M109; the M109A7 puts the redesigned M109a6 turret on a completely new hull.

Is it true that Russian .308 is different than American one? This single shot rifle is supposedly only accurate with Russian steel .308 according to the fudd forums in my country.
Is it stupid to not use a scope on a high powered rifle like .308? Is the recoil hard to handle for a weak person?
>>35021380
That's absolutely ridiculous, unless they're just incorrectly thinking 7.62x39mm or 7.62x54r is just a Russian equivalent of .308, which might be the case.
It's different in the sense that it's fucking garbage.
You guys think I can carry an air rifle on a college campus

Lebbit has been invading since some drama about censorship or whatever, it's been bad here for years. This election made things even worse now that 4chan isn't super taboo like it was several years ago.
There's nowhere to go, the firearms forums are shitty or extremely slow, r/guns has become /k/ as seen through the eyes of normies, this place has become r/guns who spew misinformation and shitty memes, and a bunch of niggers from /pol/ are making awful false flagging "/k/ is a progressive board" shitposts since /pol/ proper is now r/The_Donald.
It would be a good idea to deploy batteries of land based anti ship missiles in overseas US bases like Singapore, Japan, Kuwait and Germany, covering key water routes and within range of navies of America's rivals.

If half the shit Ruskies said about their gear was true they'd have conquered the world years ago. While lasers that shoot down missiles is pretty rad, I'll believe it when I see it, not until.

>Tfw no holy MT-LB
Tanks are seldom used in today's warfare. And when they are used, it is merely as infantry support vehicles. There are no Tank versus Tank battle anymore, and only countries with a poor airforce still rely on tanks.
So why do we keep making MBTs ? Why not switch to a binary armored element composed of Assault Guns for urban warfare and Missile Tank Destroyers like the Raketenjagdpanzer for open-terrain fighting ? It would be cheaper, and easier to transport overseas. We could even convert current tanks to save some of the costs.

You do realize that infantry support is the primary purpose of tanks, don't you?

The good part of full metal jacket. The actual Vietnam parts are dull as hell.
How do you tell if a trigger is good or bad? I always hear people bitch about their trigger being bad when they shoot badly or use unquantifiable terms to describe the pull.
>>35020887
In precision rifles and in civilian applications:
When you pull, there should be absolutely minimal resistance until there's a sudden, very obvious wall of resistance. Up to this point, the trigger movement should be smooth.
When you apply slightly more pressure, this wall of resistance should cleanly break away and the gun should discharge.
After firing, there's some personal preference as to how a trigger should properly behave, but it should provide clear feedback that the trigger has reset and is ready for the next cycle.
A bad trigger will feel "mushy" before the break, with steadily increasing resistance such that the shooter isn't entirely sure where the firing point will occur.
However, in military line unit combat applications, it can be preferable to have a heavier, messier trigger as the user will likely be wearing gloves and hopped up on adrenaline (and energy drinks) and more prone to jerking the trigger or other "bad" habits. In this situation, the gradual resistance found in "shitty" triggers increase can be useful because per-shot accuracy isn't as important and when shit's going down, you can have your finger on the trigger and not know if you're actually squeezing it.
The terms confuse you because you haven't shot enough guns. Until you shoot enough guns to understand what we are saying, it doesn't matter if the trigger is good or bad

That was a very succinct and well worded explanation, thank you.
