Can anyone explain to me why the Leopard 2's turret is shaped like that in the front?

Doesn't that direct shots into the turret ring?

Abrams, Merkava, and Challenger all have a turret design to deflect shots away and shield that area.

Why do the germans want to funnel shots into their turret ring?

>>
>>33745587

Deflecting shots has not been a thing since WW2.

Modern projectiles cannot be deflected.

What is a gun show like in a state like California or Massachusetts?

States with waiting periods and no private sale exemptions (and mandatory FFL transfers)

I can't imagine this being any fun

>>
Here's the setup in California:

Somewhere in among the vendor tables, a local FFL will have a table set up. He'll have a couple of laptops and will have arranged an internet connection. Once you buy your gun from a vendor, he'll walk it over to the FFL's table with you. You'll sit down, fill out the paperwork (in California it's a 4473 for the feds and a DROS for the state), pay the FFL his fee (last time I was at Crossroads of the West at the Cow Palace, Todd Setterman of Setterarms was doing the FFL stuff, and he was charging $60, which includes the state-mandated DROS fee of $25), and leave your gun with him. Ten days later, once your waiting period is up, you go see the FFL at his shop, and pick up your gun.
>>
>>33744998
seems like a good set up,ya know, glad I live in a free state with no waiting period.
>>

It's not legal to charge any more than $35 for a PPT.

Should i get an armscor m206, polish p64, or Taurus model 80
14 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
Polish!

Flip if you must.

Taurus if there's no other choice.
>>
>>33744880
Depends on what you are going to use it for.

Truck gun? The armscor revovler.
Range? The Taurus semi auto maybe?
CC? Whatever you can conceal?the p64 is easy to conceal

Or you could just save up some money and not buy trash.

When did the military stop being an honorable enterprise and become a home for degenerates? Was it during/after Vietnam?

The enlisted men have always been of questionable morals.

Especially outside of combat arms.

11B and 0311 are disproportionately white and middle class, because nobody else is willing to get shot at.

Here I hold one AK 47, one revolver holstered, one in my hand, one official nazi bayonet sheathed, my survival bag, and three magazines fully stocked in my pouch. Realistically speaking, this is a lot of shit and I feel like sprinting is a no-go, so I am going to have to adjust some shit

So I've been thinking of creating a tank from scratch for a while now as an engineering project. The main theme of it would be based mainly off of the T34 as it was one of the first tanks to my knowledge to implement sloped armor. But there's still some things that I need to find out about.

One of them is tracks, finding tank or other tracked vehicle tracks in quite impossible for cheap here, many not being the correct size either as they're mainly used on construction machines, and I'd highly doubt anyone in the South will have old tank tracks lying around.

Due to this I'll have to create some, which shouldn't be hard as long as I can find strong enough cable and weld multiple steel plates together, eventually adding rubber later when attempting to make it street legal.

Next would be engine and steering system, at the moment I'm going with the idea of an f350 engine for power, and possibly a Clutch-Brake Steering, or a "Maybach" Double Differential Steering / Improved Double Differential Steering system with it.

Once this is set up the easy part will be finding metal to cover a rebar frame welded together, and from what I know this system would work, but thought it might be best to get a second opinion.

For now planning to make it street legal, so probably nothing. Maybe a potato gun or something if that's allowed.

Are there no used CATs in your neck of the woods? It seems like your only making it harder for yourself by building the entire drivetrain and tracks yourself.

Not sure if any of you gentlemen noticed, but Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) doesn't flinch.

I rewound it twice. It's more of a conscious blink than anything else, but he doesn't flinch.

Any of you have this gift or have seen anyone who does?

>>33744619
Usually you can grow to anticipate, not be phased by it much. Or who knows, maybe they're not even firing and digitally adding in the affects afterwards.
>>
>>33744619
what is Hollywood?
most likely he didn't even fire a blank (for safety) and they just told him to squeeze and blink, which is why he doesn't flinch and as you noted, it seems like a conscious blink, any muzzle flash was added in post production.

I was at the local store today and witnessed something strange /k/.
Two gentlemen one older(possibly a sergeant or officer) and a younger ensign, dressed head to toe in full BDU gear.
On their right shoulder they had my states(Ohio) Flag patched on
On their left shoulder I assume was some sort of rank insignia, but I couldn't recognize it as any military branch I knew of.

I was unable to ask what branch they belonged to before they left.
I don't live anywhere near any military bases so this was something very strange for me.

Could they have been reserve, or even possibly some civilian militia group?

How do they even quantify this? Vermont doesn't even have gun laws. Doesn't that by definition give them the "lowest" score?

I think it scores not by only laws but general precausions done to prevent gun violence in general
