Hey /k/ just curious, what gun is this? Almost looks handmade.

So, /k/, would you defend this man and his collection, or would it defend you?
>Geez Mel, just how much surplus .30-06 do you have?
>ALL OF IT

this man is a national treasure

C9 did nothing wrong. It is a simple design that works, and most criticism is fox with overpriced glock grapes. Prove me wrong or fight me now.
>>33749909
Most reviews I've seen that actually shoot more than a mag through the gun end up running into some failures
also you don't understand fox and the grapes
>>33749927
This pretty much.
If you're a complete poorfag, it'll work if you put some elbow grease into it, but it's not a 150 dollar Glock by any stretch.
It will shoot bullets, and it may save your life, but it's not something you'll want to trust your life with.
That said, they aren't nearly as bad as people claim sometimes, and I'd lover a Benjamin plastered one just to have the most ironic gun on the planet.
>>33749909
fucking brick.
Is it worth getting and SMG if it isn't in full auto? Would a semi auto mp5 (for example) take away all the fun of an mp5? I really want an SMG but I figure I should wait until (hopefully) full autos get easier to obtain in the US.
You'll be waiting until your dead then.
>>33749876
>wait until (hopefully) full autos get easier to obtain in the US.
good luck with that one...
>>33749876
You want a full auto MP5, you go live in Pakistan
Trump is meeting all 100 senate members for a meeting over North Korea. How would a war with NK go for both sides?

>How would a war with NK go for both sides?
It would go well for us and poorly for them. It's an army of starved peasants with no way to maintain the fuel for the vehicles or supply routes for everything else.
Only thing is they use AK74s and our military's plates aren't rated for 5.45
>>33749976

pick one homie
I'm a huge weeaboo and find WWII-era Japanese handguns pretty cool looking.
Are there any that aren't horrible badly made death traps?
>>33749758
yes
>>33749768
Which ones?
So, how long until every single PVS7/PVS14 in the military is replaced by the GPNVG?
>>33749703
GPNVGs cost around 45,000 bones a piece. Digital Night vision will most likely replace analog systems in the future. It's much easier to integrate thermal imaging and other systems into digital nvg platforms.
https://youtu.be/c_0s06ORTkY
>>33749785
Digital platforms don't have the light amplification of tubes, and for the same reason solid state guitar amps sound like shit so everyone uses tube. It doesn't HAVE to be analog, but transistors just don't use the same process, and in trying to make a natural signal, they just produce a shitload of squarewave and grate the user's senses be it in shitty distortion on solid state guitar amplifiers being shrill or thin sounding when distorted, or night vision goggles based on what is essentially a digital camera and requires an active IR light source to see shit, instead of being passive, or being a bulky and relatively large unit intended for long range observation, much like your video, resorting to transparent marketing tricks such as comparing a magnified optic to one like a PVS-14 which isn't magnified, making sure to crank it out of focus just a tad bit. Personally, I don't really see a future for digital in the night vision world, being that it's almost primarily focused on navigation, and not recording, sighting or viewing in any capacity that even requires or grants an advantage to magnification.
>>33749785
I'm also pretty sure they're $40,000 a pop because L3 knows that anyone who will buy their systems will pay whatever they want for it. Like a PVS-15 for $12,000 even though the tubes are only $2,000 a piece at retail and it's probably not more than $1,000 to produce a housing with collimated tube housings and a circuitboard to control the goggle.
'sup /k/
Got a question for you that came out of something me and my buddies were discussing.
"If you had to make any one species of animal extinct; excluding man and insects as those are too easy, which and why?"
I've posted this on /an/ to see what they come up with but I also for /k/ want to add, "and how?" to the list.
>>33749619
and just to cover this off.
No we don't count anything that an SJW would consider human, including higher primates as anything other than man. That means blacks, arabs, asians, monkeys, democrats, kebabs, europeans, and 2nd hand car salesmen are off season.

>decide to read an Ausfag military think tank to see what that sorta clique talks about
>its 90% EF88 vs M4 debate
holy fucking shit, check this terrible one out
>https://www.aspistrategist.org.au/the-f90-the-obvious-alternative-isnt-so-obvious/
>Unfortunately the design of the M4 and all M16/AR-15 family variants demands that when the rifle jams, the operator is required to remove the master hand to operate the cocking handle; the Austeyr does not.
Note the hyperlinks here - the "M4" one links to a vid of a guy actively attempting to make his gun jam as a demonstration, but the "Aug" one is literally a Hickok45 vid
my fucking sides
Why are Ausfags so retarded?
>>33749530
>click a piece by an operator
>AR platform is superior
>click a piece by a desk jockey or brass tailcoater
>muh F90 is a logical and solid choice
the shilling is so transparent
>>33749530
They can't even semi autos though...
>>33749530
He could have been talking about the forward assist, but he does bring up a good point.
>AUG is reaching its prime.
>M4 is at the end of its service life.
The F88 beats the M4 hands down in reliability, especially in dusty conditions.
I want to get an M1 Garand and 1911 for home defense, since I'm a bit of a history nerd. Is this a good idea? I figure if they were good enough to kill Fritz and Tojo they should be able to kill Tyrone and Jamal no problem.
Only Allied weapons of ww2, the Axis weapons don't do so good for defending your home.
>>33749536
couldn't he have just as easily put up a luger, and k98? What's wrong with those?
>>33749554
Step your game up senpai.
I've found myself interested in tip-up semi auto pistols. As far as I know, the only pistols that have this feature are made by Beretta in smaller calibers. (Bobcat, Tomcat, Jetfire)
Of these pistols which would you guys recommend, and in which calibers? What are some pros/cons about each of these?
I don't plan on getting one for self defense or anything serious. I'm just looking for a neat gat to plink with.
>>33749462
>As far as I know, the only pistols that have this feature are made by Beretta
Some older pistols made by Manufrance also had tip up barrels. Not made anymore however.
I have the 950BS model (.25 acp with safety) it's a great little pocket pistol, the only complaint I have is that .25acp is a little pricy for what it is.
I think all of these have about the same build quality, so if it's just for fun get the .22 version (jetfire I think, but I could be wrong).
Are the Phoenix arms pistols tip up?
This is my first AR and was wondering if it's to over the top or ok. Rate it for me.
>>33749288
You have a bipod and a foregrip
A scope and a red dot/lazer, pick a group, close range or long range don't pack shit on a rifle trying to be both.
Which Stgw 90 should I get?
Is the green version the best one or should I get something more gay?
>>33749067
Black Special is best verison
>>33749067
>or should I get something more gay?
No matter which one you get, you're already going to look like a child or an adult with an under developed brain.
Might as well just get the one you want. Just don't be surprised when you get 0 respect in public with it.
>>33749144
This
After cleaning my guns, I have been wiping them down with a rag that has remoil on it to prevent rust in-between range days. Should I keep doing this or switch to break-free CLP?
>>33748966
>Rem oil
It's like you dont care about your guns.
>>33748994
What would you suggest using
I don't really trust it which is why im asking. I have pitting on the barrel of my old wingmaster but that might just be because it spent three years in storage.
Have any of you guys tried painting your own guns? How did it go?
>>33748867
like with cerakote?
