Been here 8 years, bud.

What's the bare minimum that you should have in preparation for an EMP that takes out all power in North America? Imagine you have no guns, $20 + common household items. What would be the best way to survive?

>makeshift spear
>knife
>small pillowcase for water filtering
>pot for boiling water/cooking food
>at least two 2l bottles
>lighter
>warm clothes
>as much 25 cent ramen as you can carry
>tarp if you have one
>sleeping bag or blanket
>hatchet ideally

Anything else?

first of all, i would not be a poorfag.

I mean really, do we want people with only $20 to their name to actually survive? fuck them.

EMPs are a meme. Power would be down for half a day at most and they couldn't take out the whole US, maybe one city max.

Just picked this up yesterday. SIG P320C 9mm FDE with Apex trigger. A guy bought it from the store, put an Apex trigger in it, then turned around and sold it to the same store two months later. I walked out of the gun shop with the gun (with case 2 magazines and holster) and 2 boxes of CCI blazer 9mm for $496 cash. Did I do good?

>Model 65

Yeah, it's sweet. It's a stainless version of the Model 13, which was the FBI revolver for years and years, and is a wonderful do-all revolver.

One problem it has, however--and this applies to all of the K-frames--is that it does not hold up well to shooting full power magnum ammunition constantly. When the Border Patrol conducted some tests on revolver service life using 125 grain Magnums, they found that none of the K-frames could make it to even 1500 rounds without major problems like a cracked forcing cone, stretched or cracked frame, etc. This is because, while the gun has the ability to shoot Magnums, it was intended that Magnums be used only sparingly in it. On the other hand, if you stick with .38 +P like the FBI did, the gun will be perfectly fine and last you a long time.

Nope. I only OWB carry mine in Winter under a jacket.

Just got mine back from the gunsmith this morning. Started out as a Springfield Mil-Spec. Got the hammer, grip safety, and sight switched out a while back. I just had him checker the grip, undercut the trigger-guard, and cerakote the whole thing.

Start replacing those MIM parts man. That's the real kicker.

So this guy at the gun shop was the head gunsmith at detonics.
It's safe to say I'll be selling my glock 19 and picking up a 1911 for him to tune
I'm talking Peter Dunn, head of detonics. The one that built Stanley Kubricks guns and basically gave Detonics their name
>>
>>33780066
I'm not particularly concerned. I plan on treating the remaining MIM parts like I do most parts on my guns: Replace as they wear to the point of failure, if they ever do.

Sup /k/, I'm moving off campus, and apparently these leasers don't allow firearms, and refuse to store them at the desk for me.
What's the best way to sneak rifles into and out of an apartment? No illegal weapons obvs, those were lost in a boating accident.
Also, it was only outlined that weapons couldn't be discharged, not owned. Can I use this?
Thanks boos

If theyve already told you no firearms on their property, that is it. Sneaking them in would be illegal and a breach of your contract.

Not only a new carrier, but also four (4) 12.000 tonne guided missile cruisers are under construction simultaneously.

http://www.janes.com/article/69826/construction-of-china-s-type-055-destroyers-forges-ahead

Commercial satellite imagery taken on 11 April shows that significant progress has been made in the construction of the first four Type 055 destroyers for China's People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN).

At the Jiangnan Changxingdao shipyard near Shanghai, where construction of the lead ship of the class commenced in late 2014, Hull 1 appears to have all the modules in place and most of the modules for Hull 2 are in position.

In late 2016, hull modules appeared on the side of a graving dock at the Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company (DSIC) yard and by 7 March keel blocks were being positioned in the dock to support the construction of two hulls side by side. By 11 April, modules for two Type 055 hulls had been lifted from the dockside onto the keel blocks and assembly was clearly underway.

Measurements from the images indicate that the Type 055 will be about 180 m long and 19 m wide, meaning that it will be significantly larger than the 7,500-tonne Luyang III-class (Type 052D) destroyers (157 m long and 17 m wide). This places the size of the Type 055 between the Republic of Korea Navy's Sejong Daewang (KDX-3) class (166 m/10,500 tonnes) and the Russian Federation Navy's Slava class (186 m/11,700 tonnes).

The images from Changxingdao show the module that will contain the forward vertical launch system (VLS) cells, with a second grid of cells set to be positioned forward of the hangar.

The forward grid appears to be divided into 16 sections, four across and four deep, with overall dimensions of 13 m in length and 10.5 m in width.

Comparison with the dimensions of the two 32-cell VLS grids fitted to the Type 052D suggests that the VLS in the Type 055 will have 64 cells in the forward grid.

Amazing.

It's wonderous to see what a united people can do with the right leadership. China is making great strides lately and it's clear that the Chinese People will be the leaders of peace and unity from now on. The world will be a better place with America halting its imperialism and China taking over as the benevolent caretakers it has always been. Such a reign of peace will be a blessing compared to the constant wars and struggles that the Americans have been pushing. Truly China has started the task of taking its rightful place in the world.

I know you need at least a 20x power optic for anything past 50 yards. Not to mention anything below 300 win mag is not sufficient beyond 100 yards.
So best bet is to grab a telescope and mount it on the AR10.
