If you could only own one handgun what would it be?
Smith and Wesson Model 38 because of pic
>>33799429
some Mexican, Italian, Japaneses, Germany gunsmith painstakingly crafted gun.
>>33799429
handguns are emergency side arms so I go for the most concealable one that can also do all the stuff a full size service pistol can do, the G26.
Why doesn't Germany build an aircraft carrier? They have a larfer economy than UK, France or Italy and they all have them.
>>33799399
Because they aren't interested in long-range power projection
for your information /k/:
OSTE Class Fleet Service Ship are in fact NOT service ships :D. Namely "Flottendienstboot" (guess the name) are primary ELINT/SIGINT spyships. if you see a grey strange looking ship in the Mediterranean Sea or near the russian fleetbases, its the german navy, sniffing your snapchat nudes.

this and shit government, which would indirectly sabotage the project with stupid ass rules and changes, leading to an insane increase of cost and build time

So what does a British Army soldier actually do now that we're not at war on a daily basis? I know "them" are probably still pretty busy.

>>33798830
If you want to stay busy then join the navy, they are crying out for engineers right now since they cannot retain them.

>Protesters lit buses on fire, blocked roads and clashed with police on Friday during a general strike that brought transportation to a halt in many cities across Latin America’s largest nation.
>The strike was to protest major changes to labor law and the pension system being considered by Congress, but it was also a raw display of anger by many Brazilians fed up with corruption and worried about the future amid a deep recession and rising unemployment.
>In Rio de Janeiro, after hours of clashes with police in front of the legislative building, several buses were torched. In Sao Paulo, thousands marched toward the home of President Michel Temer, throwing rocks at police who shot stun grenades when protesters tried to go beyond barriers set up.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/apr/28/brazil-corruption-unions-strike-michel-temer-austerity
>Brazilian unions have ratcheted up the pressure on president Michel Temer with a nationwide general strike that closed schools, disrupted transport networks and led to clashes with public security in several cities.
>Demonstrators in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo blocked key roads with barricades of burning tires on. Riot police used teargas and percussion grenades to try to disperse the crowds and open the routes.
>>33798295
Why don't they set fire to the actual government buildings? What did the bus drivers do to deserve this?
Why is Brazil suddenly breaking down this year? First their carrier, now this.

Remember when that Brazilian cop would come on here, talking about how great it was that the military essentially kicked "da commies!" out of power.
Turns out fascists suck at running countries too.

Well /K/ can we get this woman a Taurus for her dog or what?
Never change Arizona. Probably the most white trash thing I have ever seen. Its not even a pure bred yorkie lol. Its some mutt terrier mix by the looks of it.
>>33797638
Holy kek.
Now that's special. 38 special for sure.
Of course it's a taurus. Jesus.
>>33797638

>>33797698

Strikerfags on suicide watch.
Single stack 9mm da/sa. No grip safety. Potentially able to be carried cocked and locked, hopefully.
Thoughts? This is pretty much everything I've ever wanted from a carry gun.
Also it has GRIP ZONE. And a fiber optic front sight.

>No grip safety.
a move in the right direction, now to get it off the rest of XD series
i'm onboard
Why don't firearms and military weapons get effected by exponential growth?
I'm pretty sure I could create a handheld minigun that weighed ~20 pounds and had 1000 round magazine using hybrid ceaseless ammunition and was cooled with lead or something IF I had the money.
We should be seeing seriously advanced and powerful projectile weapons an order of magnitude above what they had in the last century.
Why aren't we seeing that?!
>>33797234
"Mature technology"
Advancements have brought firearms to a pretty standardized design, and most innovations are minor. No one is trying to reinvent the wheel anymore, as the wheel has been around for a while. They will probably remain mostly the same for the foreseeable future until some new tech allows something vastly different, like directed energy weapons being feasible for small arms, in which case the cycle will repeat again etc etc.
Look at this shit.
If battleships weren't neutered by treaties and all the funding given to carriers and aerospace, IMAGINE the insanely powerful floating fortresses we'd create.
>>33797264
>nobody is trying to reinvent the wheel
Yes they fucking are.
Look at Tweels. Better than tires in every way.
Never go flat, can be retreaded instead of being replaced, etc.
what gas masks/filters would keep me alive if i ever needed to use one?
i hear alot about certain filters having asbestos or something other that will kill you in them
>>33796178
Depends on what you're planning to protect yourself against. Pretty much any surplus mask will do fine against tear gas, maybe paint fumes if you're doing a project. For stuff like VX you'll really need a gasmask and full MOPP. While the mask will protect your most vulnerable parts, your skin can still absorb nerve agents.
As far as more basic stuff like mustard and chlorine gas, its still mostly survivable even without a gas mask so long as you get help for it, regardless a gas mask would suffice.
As far as masks go pretty much anything relatively modern thats western will do the trick. I would recommend an M40 like what you have in that pic and what filters were issued with it.
In regards with asbestos being in the filters, don't worry about that too much because those stopped being as prevalent around the 60's. Even the soviet GP5 filters are just activated charcoal.
If you are serious about protecting yourself from lethal chemicals I would suggest just going for a scientific/industrial mask from 3M. They're not as cool or rugged as a military mask, but you can bet your life that the filters are up to spec.
>>33797200
>mustard or chlorine
>mostly survivable
If you call being blind and having serious lung damage "living", sure.
>>33797226
You must have missed the part anon, where I said its mostly survivable if you seek medical attention.
Sup fucknuggets.
Whatcha working on?
>>33795934
A deathray calibrated for people who make shit threads on /k/
>>33795946
And how's that working out for you champ?
>>33795934
Right now I'm in the middle of finishing up a knife. Need to sand it some more, than polish it up.
Also got a AR 15 I'm in the middle building. Using a Anderson upper and lower with some mil parts left over. Need to get spme sights for it and done.
Any one know of some iron sights that are solid, dont go flippy, floppy to go up and down?

Questions that don't deserve their own thread thread.
Looking for a tapeswitch to use with my Surefire M600U. Should I get a DS-07 (pic related) and Magpul M-lok switch mount or an SR-07 switch that attaches directly to a picatinny rail? Rail being used is a Geissele MK8
/k/, where do babies come from?
>>33795392
headshots. 1 headshot= baby born somewhere
>>33795361
Okay I got one /k/. I live in AZ but my family is from IL (yes I'm a transplant). My family is visiting here this week and my step-father wants to buy a gun from me. Now I know it's okay to sell to him in AZ since he's not a prohibited possessor. It gets dicey if he wants to take it back to Illinois, because I've been gone too long and don't know how the laws work over there. Should I just sell him the thing or should we stop over at an FFL just to be safe?
man berettas are so sexy they get me hard. post sexy berettas.
