I recently made a post detailing the events surrounding how a local police department illegitimately came into possession of firearms that I legitimately own. Those details are as follow...

>local PD later tells me I need a permit to purchase to retrieve my property that is illegitimately in their possession, or a note from counselor
I wasn't able to produce the note because I couldn't afford to see the counselor anymore due to no insurance. When my girlfriend moved out with my kids (insurance was through her policy) I had no insurance, hence no note. 'Merica!

I clean my handguns at my counter in my apartment. tear a plastic grocery bag open and set it down as a base, then set a shop rag on top of it. Rag absorbs most of it then the bag keeps it from going to the counter. Rifles, I just use a bore snake with no solvent. Clean the bolts and inner workings on the same setup as above

I am going to France for ~20 days (its part of a broader month-long European trip) and I need some /k/ approved war memorials and museums. I'm arriving to France in Cherbourg, so the Normandy memorial is obviously already something I've committed to. I'm also only really bothering to go to Paris so I can visit Les Invalides, so that's on the list.

I have two, the security model and a 18" custom made model. They both have been through hell, still shoot and cycle anything put through them. No issues with any parts. Great shotgun for the money.

Anybody who has handled them in a military context knows they're piece of shit cheap battle rifles meant to outfit troglodyte conscripts. They're decent guns, don't get me wrong, but they're nothing special. The welding on actual HK G3s are absolutely horrid, and if you want a quality battle rifle you're better off with an FN FAL, AR-10, or SCAR-17.

When I first bough the carry handle and scope mount for it I thought it was a good idea because it would allow me to have both the option of iron sight and scope at the same time and if it got in the way the scope could just be removed easily.
Now I feel like this look is kind of dumb and a little too tacticool to be considered a good setup.
So /k/, does my gun look dumb or is it a good look/ have utility?

Hey /k/, so I'm planning on joining the Marines. Got a 57 in the ASVAB. Hopefully I can get late 60s or early 70s in the final. Anyway, a lot of the recruiters were mentioning how I got probably join up with the body bearers (due to the fact that I'm pretty /fit/ at 6'0). Apparently all they do is lift everyday but I would need to join up with the infantry first. Any anons here know more about them/been one? If you really enjoy lifting is it worth it? Thanks.
