Hey all, I'm in the market to buy my first Sig pistol. I already own an HK, Glock, and CZ and I would like to add a Sig to my collection. The issue is, I am not sure exactly what pistol to buy.
Currently I really like the look of the P225-A1

however, I have also been looking at the M11-A1 which is a variant of the P229. I am open to any advice, or experience you guys can share in what I should get.

I had a P320 fullsize and P226. I thought the P226 was incredibly overrated. I put about 1000 rounds through it in competition and never saw what was so 'special about it'. The P320 was nice and I really liked it. My biggest complaint was I always held down the Slide stop, but apparently the new models have a little fence around the button so it's harder to do by accident. The P320 is the current hot item so it's probably not a bad place to start.

I'm looking to get a .45 pistol (i already have a glock 19 so stop your shitposts right there) and I'm thinking about the HK45 or a 1911 in that price range (s&w looks like the best option for me, and im not buying springfield for obvious reasons)

Anyone else? I'm not even sure what model or manufacturer of 1911 the guy had. It's weird because it feels like I've had the same dream a couple times but I have no memory of it (of course). It's similar to a dream I had about a hostel/dorm or something. Of course I've also had the dreams about getting shot at and my rifle not being unfuckable, etc so typical /k/ stuff. Anyone else have similar?

A little while back I had this recurring series of dreams where I was in some kind of setting that required me to be armed. It was almost always a Garand. I would always be in some kind of dilapidated structure and maybe with a few other people. It looked like SHTF, but more like we were an insurgency force in some jungle country.
Shit would always have those themes in common. Sometimes I'd be in a small city, like the one in Full Metal Jacket. Other times I'd just be innawoods. But I would always be on the run. I'd always be fighting for my life, but the fighting was never in any of my dreams, some recon and such but never live combat.
They were very, very vivid. To the point that it actually felt like the dreams had lasted for days or even weeks, all Inception style. It was so detailed and real. I woke up feeling like they were complete and total memories. I've never had dreams like this before.
It went on for about two months with almost every night being another journey into this world. It was so much fun.

I was hoping to get some input from folks who CC a revolver. I wanted to get one to carry during the summer. It seems like there's even more to consider than with semi autos.
I rented an LCR and liked it. But when I looked around, I couldn't find any really good reloading options for it. 5 star makes a speedloader and speedstrips. But no moonclips or push style speed loaders.
So I started looking at J-frames. And whole crap it seems like you can get a Jframe in damn near any flavor.
So if you carry a revolver, do you carry reloads? If you do how (speed strips, moonclips etc). Basically big ol' revolver thread.

Speed strip all the way. Slips right in the pocket and lays flat. Throw some barami hip grips on ur j-frame and just drop it in ur waistband. You could conceal it under a wife beater.

If this is a vs thread I would get the j frame. More track record, more aftermarket parts. Lcr has issues with some speed loaders as the grip gets on the way. Lcr also has a weird trigger, gotta let it reset ALL the way, although it is a smoother stock trigger than the j frame.

But S&W has the Bodyguard to, which is more like the LCR. Is it that much harder to carrying a 6 shot revolver? I'm looking for a small lightweight gun for pocket carry and innamountains survival. I'm not too worried about bears because I know that it'd be pointless and my best defenses are the dog and my hiking buddy.

ruger LCP in 380 (~$220)
Bersa Thunder in 32acp and 380 (~$270)
HP22 in 25acp (~$170)

I liked holding the Bersa best and I liked the safety the most (though it is plainly an inferior rip off of the beretta safety) and it seemed very shootable (unlike the LCP/lcp clones).
I love weird calibers like 25acp and 32acp though.
I liked the idea of the LCP a lot but it seems like it'd be miserable to shoot just for fun, even though it was probably the best gun if I never intended to actually shoot it (strictly truck/backpacking gun)
What else should I know about these guns? I a rifle guy so I really don't know that much about concealed carry.

If you want super affordable check out the Armscor m206 or the m200 if you want more barrel.

7.62x39 is superior out of shorter barrels and better for urban combat (it has superior barrier penetration)
5.56 is better for longer ranges and is more accurate usually (barring steel cased shit of course)
