>Hiroo Onoda - hide and seek world champion.
Onoda was a Japanese intelligence officer who served in WWII. He did not surrender until 1974 when he was personally issued orders from his former commanding officer, who was flown out to the Phillipines to officially relieve him of military service. He was pardoned by the Phillipines government despite murdering many police officers and military personnel during his 30+ years of service hiding in the mountains and jungles. Even though he was air dropped leaflets informing him of the Japanese surrender, as well as photograps and letters from his family, he concluded that they were "trickery" to draw him into the open. After being formally discharged by his commanding officer he turned himself over to the Phillipines military. He was taken into custody with his Arisaka rifle and bayonet in perfect working condition, more than 500 rounds of ammunition, 4 hand grenades, an anti personnel mine, maps of the area he stole from a police car, a pistol he looted from a slain policeman, and a can of kerosene he used to set fire to Philippine food storages over the years. He also set boobytraps along trails, which he assisted the Phillipines police force in finding and disposing of. He returned to Japan after a brief detention as a hero, and lobbied for a return to Japanese nationalism until his death in 2014.

That's not Teruo Nakamura
>>33864635
How are Arisakas? I've never fired one and I can't imagine ammunition is cheap, but they're quite attractive firearms.
The album Nude by Camel is based on this guy's story.
How bad is 19K

Like everything in life, it is what you make it.

Do 11bang bang
It's pretty fun.
I hide in the ammo compartment during morning formation.
How come there has never been a select-fire revolver? Is such a thing possible? If so are there any examples?
Holy fuck what a stupid thread.
The same reason why nobody ever made a Barrett M82 in select fire.
>>33864553
I think OP is more interested in if it's possible.
>There will never be millions of surplus civilian-legal rifles available for sale ever again.
>>33864425
Not with that attitude.
>>33864425
Why not?
Yes there fucking will.
There will be , maybe not in your life time. The status quo of the West cannot hold. Expect revolution and war as the West years if self apart. Then the governments on the other side of the conflict will sell the surplus.
Best cheap 22 handgun. FACT. Come at me.
>>33864278
Welp, can't aregue there.
you're right it is.
who the fuck wants a .22 revolver. you can get a .44 caliber colt walker for 300 if you try.
Anyone have more of these? I've seen others like this and they crack me up. Also /k/ humor thread

Whoa those mopp gear suits are fucking bad ass.

Fuck off
>>33864178
Stay in college, do ROTC, become a CBRN officer. Literally the easiest branch to get as no one wants it.
t. Army ROTC cadet
So /k/, buy a Glock 17 new for $500 or buy a trade in Glock 22 for $370 (1 mag) and spend the rest on ammo?
>>33863735
G17.
>>33863757
i also vote 17. have you shot 40 cal before OP?
Friend at work keeps calling some rifle he has a SK
why is he calling a SKS this.
because he is retarded
>>33863659
'Cause he's a fucking idiot who probably only got it as a cheap hunting rifle but then found out it was a "commie gun" and can't find and tactical detachable clips for it so he just calls it his old SK.
Alternatively he was hit in the head with a shovel one too many times as a child.
>>33863659
He actually has a Daewoo K2. He's calling it a "SK" rifle as shorthand for South Korean rifle since most people won't know what a Daewoo K2 is.
If I'm not a poor fag, is there actually any reason for me to buy a nugget?
No, they are literally a meme gun
Do you like milsurps? Then yes
Do you want a cheap rifle with a powerful cartridge? Then yes
>>33863656
They're an interesting piece of history, but other than collecting, not really.
>>33863669
They're no longer either cheap nor the cheapest milsurp rifle with easily acquired ammo. Also x54r is now the same price as steel-cased .308, so they're not even cheap to shoot.
I just don't like the AR-15. It feels too light, too plastic, too tacticool, and it just...feels like airsoft. Is there something wrong with me? Does anyone else feel the same?
Same.
>>33863646
Nope.
You're not alone.
I have to wonder how many people drop shooting as a sport just because ARs and Glocks are so boring and they spent sonmuch cash that they just don't try anything fun.
It saddens me.
Your tastes are your tastes, anon. Even if I didn't live in a ban state, I'd still favor the Mini-14 over the AR just because I like its aesthetics better. You may find similar things. Nothing wrong with that.
Just bought an XD9.
How badly did I fuck up?
>>33863589
Springfield aside, you literally bought the worst ducking striker fired Tupperware brand gun on the market.
A fucking grip safety on a NotGlock.
It's like a Glock but without any of the redeeming qualities.
TRAITOR
>>33863589
Return it for a Walther PPQ or CZ P10C.
What is the difference between an air rifle. That shoots a .22 lead pellet at 490fps and one that shoots the same pellet at 1100fps? Is it the reservoir? How would one modify a PCP air rifle to to shoot at incredibly high speed?
>>33863572
The difference is the supersonic crack.
Most people who get an air rifle that doesn't break the sound barrier do so so they can shoot squirrels and shit out of their deer blind.
Air pressure and volume of pressurized air. Add grease or diesel to the back cup of the pellet; should give you a bit more oomph.
>>33863587
I mean mechanically
>>33863591
Deiseling doesn't give enough. I'm looking to at least double the output.
Do any of you shoot long distance handgun (100+ yards, let's say) with any regularity? What guns have you had the most luck with? Are you consistently able to make hits to that distance, particularly shooting off hand? Any tips?
The range I do most of my shooting at only goes out to 50 yards, but I'd really like to try some of my handguns at 100+, particularly my 44 mag Super Blackhawk.
>>33863421
No, but I wish. I can't hit shit past 15 yards. I'd kill myself, but I'd probably miss
>>33863421
I hit the target a couple of times with my colt 1903 in .32. I just wanted to try it. It's pretty crazy how long it takes the bullet to go that far.
