Not walking.
Who's your hero /k/? Who inspires you to be better on a daily basis? My hero is Erwin Rommel. I grew up listening to my great grandpa telling me about when he served under him and I did my own research project on him(not for school, for fun). I've read his book and joined the Army as a 19k. I wish we could have a war with tank battles so I could lead and hopefully come close to his level.

Afrika Korps was awesome
I'm more inspired by stories of general soldiers than generals, reagrdless on which side they fought.
>>33866782
Yeah pretty much everyone likes Rommel, even die Juden
>"Driving his ship to its utmost, Souchon brought it up to 24 knots. Stokers who ordinarily could not work in the heat and coal dust longer than two hours at a time were kept shoveling at an increase pace while bursting tubes scalded them with steam. Four died between morning and evening while the pace was maintained."
- "The Guns of August" by Barbara Tuchman
Holy shit, can you fucking imagine? Why did they keep working?
Would modern sailors do the same thing? Keep an engine running at such a speed that it literally kills some of the crew?
>>33866775
There are no coal powered warships.
A burst tube cause a loss of steam and steam pressure until it can be plugged. Even when plugged, the loss of heat transfer area means your boiler output is reduced. So this is a typical military officer who doesn't understand what he is doing and does not accomplish his aim.
>>33866775
And thry kept working because they could be killed or worse as punishment.
Most sailors will put forth almost superhuman effort if needed, but this sounds like a waste.
>>33867266
>There are no coal powered warships
Anymore, you mean?
Cause there was a whole era of warships that were powered by coal
Reposting this from /n/ because they seem to have stopped caring.
So I spent about 2 hours doodling this 2 seat light sport airplane in mspaint and thought you sickos could give it a decent paint scheme.
Standard and floatplane templates included, pick whichever one you prefer.

can we have a thread about this?
with the participant of Ukraine and France, this year SETC look really good
unlike last year, the Leopard dominated every thing, this year we have the King of Combat-leClerc and a competence crews from a Soviet State
Ukraine would BTFO everybody
And Russia is better at tanking than ukraine
so Russia would win SETC if participated
>>33866715
>so Russia would win SETC if participated
Microcosm of vatnik thinking in a single line.
"Russia would dominate X if it actually did X."

Does anyone have experience with these? This one is the Gyrojet MK II. My father found one at a gun show back in the 80's. Bought it with a bunch of spent rounds and one live round. The TL;DR is that these were developed in the 60's as cheap, lightweight alternatives to conventional firearms so they could be distributed among South Korean fighters during the Korean War. This never went through of course, and they're long out of production. Here's the wikipedia page if anyone's interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gyrojet#Gyrojet_MkII
(Image is google, not mine btw)

Correction, Vietnam not Korea.

There was a /mu/fag who made a big splash here by inheriting one of these from his dad (along with a shitload of other awesome guns). Otherwise, no.
