Whom had the worst job?
The guys of beach or those who fall back in enemy lines?
Paratroopers, I´d say.
Apart from Omaha Beach, all the landings were quite quiet affairs I think. The bombers just missed their targets at Omaha, which is why the Americans had such a hard time there.

Knife enthusiast looking into the purchase of my first firearm. Any recommendations for hunting/show? Looking for beauty as well as application.
>>33914809
Well not that thing for starters. I personally only carry fixed blades such as a BK11.
>>33914809
I really like the Henry leverguns. Very aesthetic.

Whoops, thought it was a knife thread. Why put a knife as the thread pic or even bother mentioning knives? lol
Why aren't model 3's more popular in cowboy action shooting? Like I see just a bunch of single action army clones as the most popular?
Why is .45 colt more popular than 44-40 winchester?
And lastly, why does no one make a Merwin & Hulbert repro?
>Why aren't model 3's more popular in cowboy action shooting? Like I see just a bunch of single action army clones as the most popular?
>Why is .45 colt more popular than 44-40 winchester?
The answer to both of these questions is the same: availability.
A decent SAA repro is cheap. A decent Model 3 repro is expensive. .45 Colt is readily found everywhere. .44-40 is not.
>>33914594
>Why is .45 colt more popular than 44-40 winchester?
.45 Colt is significantly easier to reload. .44-40 is bottlenecked and relatively thin-walled at the top.
also fudds love them some .45 and some Colt
Model 3's are more awkward to use and generally a reload is not required during a Single Action match, at least not under time. They are also significantly more expensive.
.45 Colt is easier/cheaper to reload and still a modern cartridge. .44-40 has been replaced by .44 special/magnum in all but CAS.
Nobody gives a hot gay fuck about M&H.
Why are so many people throwing their guns away?

Why would I tell anyone that I own guns?
Should I buy this?
Depends, are you a ghetto nigger who will be shooting it out the window with very poor accuracy at other niggers?

Girls with guns.
I have the impression the sherman is a little taller than the tiger.
Why did they rate the Tiger as a heavy tank and the sherman as a light tank?
>>33913541
Jesus, what a shitty post.
Because the tiger is heavier?
Do you not see that the tiger is like 1.5 times as wide?
I'm trying to get some basic gunsmithing tools. What would /k/ recommend? Please try not to break the bank, am poorfag
>>33913533
building or repairing?
>>33913569
Both. Apartment dweller, so reloading and a proper vice is tough, but like my ar, I want to build up tools a bit at a time
>>33913533
Get a Wheeler screwdriver set first, then some brass punches and a small ball peen hammer, then after that you can move on to to more specialized stuff.
Get a decent gun rest if you haven't already got one.
Yea...a real shame...

So is the pilot.
I own a SW Shield 9mm with the external safety for conceal carry (poorfag, but I digress). It's not my first gun but my first pistol.
I was hoping to read some thoughtful insight on if you personally should carry one round in the chamber with safety on or not while carrying.
On one hand, it would make me feel a little more assured on the cheaper gun that the safety wasn't the only thing potentially stopping a ND. But on the other hand, in a life or death situation, pulling down the safety and pulling back the slide could cost me valuable seconds.
What say you, /k/? and thank you in advance.
>>33912935
If you think you'll always have both your hands available in a life-or-death violent encounter, you're a moron. Carry chambered.
>>33912935
chambered with safety on. if you practice drawing it won't slow you down and frankly it is safer than cocked and locked with nothing but a long trigger pull preventing a ND.
all modern pistols have firing pin blocks. Gun don't go bang unless trigger pulled all the way back.
What firearm would be the best to fight a 6-12 month Civil war in the United States with? You don't have any access to repair tools, ammo is scarce and so on and so forth.
AR-15 because parts and ammo would be standard on both sides no matter who is fighting who.
>>33912915
Good point, any other suggestions? How would an AK fair? Dreaming tier?
>>33912886
7.62 Ishapore Enfield, or Israeli K98k.
whats the heaviest, fattest free float handguard I can get for ARs?
A solid block of steel
probably the KAC rail mounted on a DCM match tube like what the USMC service rifle team uses. It's expensive af tho
>>33912888
I was leaning more towards cheap
