I think i would like it a lot more if there wasn't a thread about it every fucking day.

Sup /k/,

I've been looking around at local gun stores and noticed this oddity a Grendel SRT in .308 based off the Sako AII rifle with a Weaver Tactical 3-10x40 Mil Dot scope and a Harris Bipod for $950. The stock was slightly beat up but everything looks fine. Rifling is fine, etc... I'm wondering if I should buy this shit right now considering how much of an affinity I have for Kel-Tec goofy shit and considering it's a sub-MOA precision rifle.

Does the gun shop owner not know what the fuck it is or were there anything wrong with these guns?

Halp

I'm so close to just buying this thing. Everything looks fine on the gun, no rust, slight wear, rifling is immaculate.

If you want something, and it's legal, and you can afford it, buy it.

Are you auto DQ'd from certain MOS/AFSC if you only have a GED? My AF recruiter said I don't have any problems with just GED but I feel he might just being saying that so I get picked for open field.

Nope. Only means you have to get a certain score on your asvab but other than that you're fine.

Alright /k/, I want to build a fairly basic 1911, mainly for the process, I know I'll probably end up paying more on parts than if I just bought one, but I really don't want to spend $300 on a fancy race gun frame. Sarco sells basic bitch RIA frames for $120 but they're being niggers to my LGS. Any of y'all know of some other places to get cheap, simple 1911 frames?

Is there anyone here that can explain the effectiveness of using the back of a single edged blade? I know that a tactic of knights was to hold the sword by the blade and use the hilt as a mace when faced with heavy armor, but would you get a similar effect from using the back of a blade?

>>
>>33921244
I've never heard of that strategy.. weren't most swords in Europe double edged blades??

Bumping for interest
>>
>>33921266
It's a tactic for single edged and double edged blades. It's called Mordhau - you were intended to grasp the blade in a manner where it was away from the crease of where your fingers meet your palm, and it was meant to be a grip tighter than a virgin's little boy-pussy. It was often done with leather gauntlets, and strikes from Mordhau would be done in a manner that struck with the crossguard of the weapon rather than the hilt.

If you haven't heard of it, you clearly haven't invested research into longswords.

/k/, do you know of a bolt action in .223 or 39mm that costs under $300?

or even better, a good .22 bolt action under $250?

I'm trying to find candidates for my first raifu that won't break my dirt poor wallet, and since I want to get into milsurps, I want it to be bolt action and not semi-auto
