>You know the catapult is quite important. So I said what is this? Sir, this is our digital catapult system. He said well, we’re going to this because we wanted to keep up with modern [technology]. I said you don’t use steam anymore for catapult? No sir. I said, "Ah, how is it working?" "Sir, not good. Not good. Doesn’t have the power. You know the steam is just brutal. You see that sucker going and steam’s going all over the place, there’s planes thrown in the air."
>It sounded bad to me. Digital. They have digital. What is digital? And it’s very complicated, you have to be Albert Einstein to figure it out. And I said–and now they want to buy more aircraft carriers. I said what system are you going to be–"Sir, we’re staying with digital." I said no you’re not. You going to goddamned steam, the digital costs hundreds of millions of dollars more money and it’s no good.
Do you agree with the commander in chief?
>>33935348
>i thought this was a shitpost about the new aircraft carriers getting ramps until i got to the commander in chief part
he is really good at pretending to be dumb when he needs to be
No more or less than I did when someone else posted a thread on the exact same topic earlier today.
Read the catalog before starting a thread, dipshit.

Aside from the trigger, this gun is better than the Glock 19 in literally every way.
>>33935240
>Aside from the trigger, this gun is the Glock 19 in literally every way.
>>33935240
Aside from the trigger, the accessories, the easily available magazines, the customization, the longevity testing, the slide finish, and the inferior non-polygonal rifled barrel, sure, I agree.
>>33935240
But does it have a grenade function?
I live in CA (blah blah gay yes, move, roger that) and am looking to keep a gun in my car at all times.
Because of the laws here, pistol is not a real option. Must be in a locked container, kept separate from ammo, etc.
Can't be an AR or "modern sporting rifle" since in a few months the laws will likely call them all assault rifles and strictly control their transportation.
I also don't want to spend much on it. $300 or less, preferably.
Thinking of a take-down .22 (maybe an AR-7) or a cheap shotgun.
TakeDown .22
Pro: Small Size, Easily Stored/Hidden
Con: .22, Needs assembled
Shotgun
Pro: It's a shotgun, ready to go
Con: Size, harder to conceal in car, slightly less accurate
Thoughts? I have plenty of other guns, but want something cheap specifically for the car
>>33935230
Where do you live? If the answer is the high desert or the State of Jefferson, do whatever you want - nobody will care. If it's anything else, then don't carry a gun in your car at all.
>>33935230
youll never find .22 in CA some faggot cliques always buy them all up early in the morning.
>>33935248
I live in North Hollywood. I think the benefit of the takedown .22 is that it can be hidden completely from view always. So a cop would likely never see it and if he does, it's completely legal and non-threatening.
>>33935259
.22 hasn't been that uncommon in LA recently, haven't had too much trouble finding it.
Sup /K/
I have a question. I was currently told that I am on a delay from buying a rifle because of the background check. They said it's completely normal blah blah.
I am buying in California, and was charged with a felony like 2 years ago but was NOT convicted! Charges were dismissed completely and I went about my business.
Is there a chance of me being denied?
Slight chance for deny but if you weren't convicted and have nothing else you'll probably be fine. Was it a domestic or assault charge?
>>33935123
lol
What felony did you commit? Your dumbass deserves it for almost getting caught.
Yeah. You're in commiefornia where there is no difference between being charged and being convicted when buying a gun.
hey /k/ so this this thread >>33923898
I mentioned a possible SC meet up sometime in June I was just wondering if anybody would be down with meeting up I have done 3 meet ups in the past with only 1-2 of you guys showing up and this could be my last meet up for awhile because I am going to uscg basic in July. what?
I don't have any guns with me in my charleston apartment and I don't want to meet any of you autismo fuckers
You think we'll ever get the USS Pueblo back?
You think a Navy SEALS team could go up the Taedong river and sail her out?
Could? Sure, probably.
Should? Let's not risk the lives of everyone in Seoul over a fifty year old trawler. North Korea isn't the most stable regime and Kim could feel he needs to start shooting to maintain face.
the fact that they turned that old rust bucket into a museum of 'best korean victory' is fucking awesome
>>33934928
We could most certainly get it back, but doing so would probably begin something less than desirable and completely not worth the cost of the USS Pueblo
What would be better for a 14"-14.5" AR-15: Midlength or carbine gas system?
Midlength has smoother recoil and helps tone down over-gassing when using a suppressor, but there's no standard gas port size so there's possible reliability issues with .223, cold weather, or a dirty gun.
Carbine would be more reliable but there's slightly more recoil impulse and it's over-gassed with a suppressor. What would be better? I'm looking at either a 14.5" midlength barrel or 14" carbine barrel.
>What would be better for a 14"-14.5" AR-15: Midlength or carbine gas system?
14.5 middy is love, life, and everything in between.
> but there's no standard gas port size so there's possible reliability issues with .223, cold weather, or a dirty gun.
Protip; don't buy cheap, shitty barrels from cheap, shitty manufacturers.
>>33934905
You can midigate the risk of getting a non standard gas port diameter by just buying a quality mid. Pic related is a BA Hanson midlength 16" and it ejects at 130 to 2 with the can and 3 without. wouldrecommend/10
I like my 14.5 mid... it has an H3 and still runs well on the full gambit of brass ammo...
As the title suggest's ask away. Also i'm American

See that? That's a gas powered pistol. The Steyr GB, a weird, awesome full sized sidearm. I shall miss mind dearly.
So, while I was out of my apartment, someone busted in, got into my bedroom, stole a bunch of shit, but worst of all was my only protection for when they break in while I'm there, taking it out of its hiding place for when I'm not home as if they knew beforehand (a hidden panel in the cabinet next to my bed you had to be told about to understand how to even open much less to know it's there - they hammered it open). It has to be someone I know, someone my nurses know I think but there's so little I can do. I'm replacing them though, all of them.
Well I guess the good news is they didn't take the magazines and they sell for a fortune. So I'll get myself a new pistol. Now I have grounds to reapply/appeal my concealed carry permit in this fascist state, so it'll always be with me.
But let me for now say, I miss you my misunderstood friend - the greatest 9mm no one knows about! I <3 you my precious GB. My dad had you first, R.I.P. and he adored you, and then when you passed to me, you gave me years of joy. Gas power in a pistol, fuck yeah (even if it doesn't do much, it really was a great pistol, if you ever get a chance, fire one..)
>>33934193
You sound like a fag.
>>33934193
Why do you have nurses? Are you really fat or just disease ridden?
>>33934228
I second this motion.
I would recommend you check the pawn shops in your area to see if it turns up.
So... I was going to fork over ~$850 for one of these today until I found out they were made in brazil, and had some weird cheap version of cerakote on them.
does /k/ know anything about them? are they good steel or shit brazil steel?
are the internals stainless or are they just steel?
If you have any suggestions for alternatives I'm all ears. must be 10mm in full stainless with a 6" barrel.
How many rounds of .50 BFG would you need to defeat a first rate ship o' the line?
