>Ukrainian Army commercial rips-off old Soviet propaganda book about Spetsnaz.

http://www.thelibertyman.com/downloads/Suvorov_Spetsnaz.pdf

Viktor Suvorov. Spetsnaz.
The Inside Story of the Soviet Special Forces
To Natasha and Alexander
Chapter 1. Spades and Men
Every infantryman in the Soviet Army carries with him a small spade. When he is
given the order to halt he immediately lies flat and starts to dig a hole in the ground
beside him. In three minutes he will have dug a little trench 15 centimetres deep, in
which he can lie stretched out flat, so that bullets can whistle harmlessly over his
head. The earth he has dug out forms a breastwork in front and at the side to act as
an additional cover. If a tank drives over such a trench the soldier has a 50% chance
that it will do him no harm. At any moment the soldier may be ordered to advance
again and, shouting at the top of his voice, will rush ahead. If he is not ordered to
advance, he digs in deeper and deeper. At first his trench can be used for firing in the
lying position. Later it becomes a trench from which to fire in the kneeling position,
and later still, when it is 110 centimetres deep, it can be used for firing in the standing
position. The earth that has been dug out protects the soldier from bullets and
fragments. He makes an embrasure in this breastwork into which he positions the
barrel of his gun. In the absence of any further commands he continues to work on
his trench. He camouflages it. He starts to dig a trench to connect with his comrades
to the left of him. He always digs from right to left, and in a few hours the unit has a
trench linking all the riflemen's trenches together. The unit's trenches are linked with
the trenches of other units. Dug-outs are built and communication trenches are added
at the rear. The trenches are made deeper, covered over, camouflaged and reinforced.
Then, suddenly, the order to advance comes again. The soldier emerges, shouting and
swearing as loudly as he can.

What does /k/ think of the Sten? If you could, would you buy one?

ONE, just ONE dust cover and all it's problems would've been fixed, but nooooooooooooo it was all "oi chaps ain't this exposed spring 'ere a bit of a jammin' risk? 'Naw mate just tell them not to throw it in the mud and it'll be fine."

I mean, a single, very thin, inexpensive piece of sheet metal was all it would've taken to make it good.

Also a little common sense to NOT HOLD IT BY THE GODDAMN MAGAZINE THAT MAKES IT JAM REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Anyone here have experience with one of these? Are they any good? They're really cheap and I'm strongly considering buying one as my first rifle

Don't
Just get a 10/22 if you want a semi auto .22lr rifle. These are gimmicky and tend to have issues

I own the Walther HK licensed replica HK MP5A5.

It has a couple advantages over the 10/22
Mags are easier to load and are lighter than the BX25 mags (they also have a cutout so you can see how many rounds are left)
Has last round bolt hold open
>that HK slap

It's a bit heavier than the 10/22, so it has even less recoil (if that's possible) and I like the HK style drum sights

It is a bitch to thoroughly clean though. You're also not supposed to ever take it apart the whole way (Which I have unwisely done, and my god getting it back together was a complete BITCH)

It also has very little aftermarket support.

If I could do it over again, I would buy a 10/22 since that's what the rest of my family has.

If that was not a concern I would stick with the HK MP5A5. It's been utterly reliable without a single jam in 5k plus rounds.

I cannot speak to the reliability of the GSG 22lr MP5 clones.

I'm thinking about getting a Ruger Charger and fitting it with a stabilizing brace, but I'm unlikely to sell my little MP5A5. It's been reliable, fun, and it looks like an MP5 - something I'm unlikely to ever actually buy.

So, in short.

If you're looking to buy something that LOOKS tacticool and aren't planning on modifying it, and you're not worried about sharing mags or anything like that - go for it. You will not regret it.

It is certainly cheaper than buying a 10/22 and making it look like an AR.
>>
>>33939188
Again, I don't know anything about the GSG sport guns, but if they're super cheap I would go with a 10/22 instead. Either buy the HK licensed walther replica (which I did) or stick with the 10/22.

Also if you buy the MP5A5 Walther replica, DON'T FUCKING DISASSEMBLE BEYOND WHAT THEY RECOMMEND. It voids your warranty for one, and putting it back together is a bitch and a half.

I want to own a gun but I sometimes get suicidal thoughts when i'm bored and wonder what It would feel like to die.

How do I get over these thoughts?

I get them sometimes because i hate myself and hate life.

I usually just suck it up, also looking at the gun and thinking of what i might do is usually enough to scare me into not thinking about it anymore

Hi /k.
I don't usually visit this board but i need good advice.
Weapons in my country are pretty hard to get and illegal. I'm trained in Krav Maga and Muay Thai but that isn't enough to win some fights. I live in a city plenty of latino bands and i get assaulted at least once a week. I need some kind of weapon easy to hide, contundent and one to not raise suspicions if i get caught with it. It's for self-defense I swear. I was thinking in some kind of brass-knuckles but that's highly illegal. The latino bands use solid metal bars or 2 feet chains (the ones used for cars when it's snowing). But i can't bring that with me (work office, home, etc). Automatic knifes are banned and any knife that has more than 3 inches and/or has double edge is banned too. I'm thinking in some kind of heavy tool but i dont find anything good.

Disputing cancellation fee

So comrades I have a question. I ordered a gun online. THe company gave themselves two weeks to ship it (which should have been Monday) and missed that date. Since then they haven't responded to any of my emails. On their website they say they charge 20% of the purchase price for cancellations. Do I have a leg to stand on fighting them on that? I know the shipping date was an estimate but they haven't been very good at fulfilling my order.

No, you agreed to their terms and conditions, they didn't agree to any of yours.
>>
>>33938113
did you "sign" or agree to something that stated fees were not reimbursable regardless of selling activity performance? if yes then you did this to yourself but the company may still give you your money back if you just talk to someone
>>
20% what the fuck? That's like their profit from the sale while keeping the merchandise. What a bunch of cons
