So /k/, just how drunk will you let yourself get and still be around your guns? how many drinks before you deem yourself unfit to be around a firearm?
I've beat safety procedures into my subconscious so hard I'm generally comfortable up until around 5 or 6 beers. After that I don't trust myself ever since a night where I went to dry fire a bit, racked my slide beforehand and had a live round eject.
>>33945077
not a single beer.
I won't handle firearms with any amount of alcohol. Think about it now I feel like I should practice ... drink and play with airshit?
>>33945096
empty the mag and chamber before you start drinking and see how well you can handle it with clear knowledge its unloaded. If you make any mistakes, even minor, don't bother with anything loaded whether chambered or not

No, no handguns in USA with a bore larger than .5"
>Digital Camo
Holy Shit, WTF.
Seriously? Are they stupid?
Why can't they just buy from the Chinese?
At least China has a DECENT Research and Development that does not fucking USE DIGITAL CAMO for fucking planes.
it doesn't matter lmao
>>33944978
Digital warfare requires digital camo.
>>33944978
>Seriously? Are they stupid?
Are you?
I don't understand. The Soviets had a semi-automatic rifle during WW2. This rifle was fed used 10-round detachable box magazines. Why did they opt for an internal box magazine in the SKS?
>>33944965
So people couldn't lose it.

/thread
>This rifle was fed used 10-round detachable box magazines
it *could* be fed via fresh detachable mags, but most soldiers were issued only a small number of mags and used stripper clips.
the SKS was a further improvement upon this as it loaded from a single clip rather than two mosin clips.
Anyone got any info on this thing? Part of my father's collection.
>>33944757
What caliber? Definitely looks interesting.

Winfield?

literally no info on this name anywhere on the web.
Hello /k/, recently got a shotty myself. Wondering if any of you have ever bought dragons breath ammunition and what sites are trustworthy for buying dragons breath. Wanting to experience it first hand see what its like in person, who wouldnt want to fire dragons breath at least once?

American specialty ammo.
Is there any combat situation where a chainsaw would be practical, or is that just Hollywood bullshit

You could probably throw a chainsaw at someone if you wanted

IF YOU OVERLOOK THIS THREAD YOU'RE DEAD TO ME
What does /k/ think of the Trijicon TA648?
I'm the same FAG who has been pestering a few of you about a new optic. I started by looking at an ACOG TA31/RMR, and was convinced to go for a 1-4x scope. I was dead set on an Accupoint 1-4x24, but then was drooling for the Accupoint 1-6x.
Now I have come across this beast: TA648.
It's huge, heavy, and bulky, and totally not meant for an AR15.
At this point I'm just begging someone to tell me what to buy. I don't have any specific goals in mind, and no real budget (therein lays the problem). I don't shoot at night, I don't shoot too long range. My AR is set up for home defence, and I also have a substantial amount of property I shoot squirrels at.
I have an irrational hard on for Trijicon, and I need someone to come snap it in half. I'd like to stick to ~$1,000, but have honestly looked at buying a $2000 Elcan SpecterDR.
If you pass over this without a recommendation, you're a fag.
>>33944511
Major hardon for this setup, but can't explain why. It's obviously because I'm a fag.
I need a new optic. I fucking just need to do it. I am waffling every day on what my tastes, budget, and shooting style is.
I know you only use 1/4x on a variable scope, so why not cut out the fat and go straight to the good stuff with a TA31/RMR?
What are the real downsides?
I almost bought this last night, under the influence of some Maker's Mark, but decided the 1-6x is not much more.
I don't like any of the reticles for the 1-6x, and the illumination isn't great.
Do I need an antidote for Trijicon Kool-Aid, or am I on the right track?
Hey /k/, I was wondering if anyone knows if having undergone some sort of training is required to be eligible to own a long gun in NJ. I've seen it's a requirement for hand guns, but I see nothing about long guns.
Hey /k/, do you guys know where to get a practice DLAB test without going to a MEPS center?
bumpity bump
Just take it as it's stated.
What happens when a nuclear vessel is destroyed in combat and it pollutes the worlds oceans with radioactive material?
americans will destroy this planet.
>>33944222
>thinking there is that much radioactive material in a sub/carrier
>thinking that the densest naturally occurring element is just going to float away
Nothing.
>>33944240
Shhh... just let him have his delusions.
So im playing around with rocketry for shoulder launched applications and was wondering if anyone had ever built a slbm (without the sub) or icbm scale rocket launcher? i figured itd be cool to create a scale model of such for "scientific" purposes. Any ideas folks?
>>33944205
I think it requires a permit with the FAA, and requires a different form from the ATF (more of a fireworks license than a firearm license)
if you want to test this idea, use thick lead pipe and stand at least 50 feet away
make sure your welds are good
>performed well for Breivik
>used in the Hollywood shootout
>saw action in Rhodesia
Why does the mini get so much hate here?
Because asshurt AR fanboys can't get over the fact that the universe contains a viable alternative to their favorite raifu.
ARs exist, they're lighter weight and have a greater aftermarket.
Mini-14s are great if you live in a ban state though.
Because for much of the 90's they were utter shit. Plus Bill Ruger was a cockholster.
What was the mightiest ship from the age of sail?
Pic related is my pic, the santissima trinidad had 144 guns in its final configuration.
>>33944122
>santissima trinidad
Didn't stop this man from capturing it
not the biggest, or most guns but arguably the prettiest and most competently crewed
>>33944122
Hard to beat the proven record of the HMS Victory. A 104 gun ship of the line that carried a smaller number of guns then the Santissima Trinidad and only had about 3/4ths the displacement yet captured the latter ship and was significantly more seaworthy and somewhat faster, though both were wallowing, top heavy things like all first rates.
In the north Atlantic you could make a case that the USS Consutition was a better fighter then either of them, as it was much more seaworthy and in anything but calm water the most powerful guns on the lower decks of a first rate were worthless, as the ports could not be opened.
Alright, so I've been watching a lot of Forgotten Weapons with Ian 'Gun-Jesus' McCollum-sempai and he talks a bit about guns from the Khyber Pass a lot. I think he said something about how most of the Khyber Pass guns currently in America came here through American servicemen. I know that there were a lot of guys who served in Afghanistan and ended up spending some time in Pakistan, because they are our 'ally' and it boarders Afghanistan. I also know that some of those guys probably go here so I wanted any of those guys if they have ever visited the Khyber Pass, bought guns their, knew a guy who had bought guns there, or own a gun from there. I genuinely want to know what this place is like. It's hard not to imagine shit-covered streets lined with stalls run by paki men, each covered with a collection strange and intriguing guns just waiting to be sold to a lucky ghorra in camo.
