Nothing. They took the shitty parts of gen 3 and 4 and removed them.

So, I'm considering joining the Air Force. I have two reasons for this:
1. GI Bill. College assistance after sounds nice. If I like it and decide to stay in, even better.
2. LEOSA. Ability to carry a firearm without a permit all over the US. Applies to Military Police now, as I understand.
I've wanted to do military for a while, but I'm more in it for the benefits than anything else. That's why I'm choosing the Air Force, and the Security Forces at that. I hear it's easy and fun, for the most part. Can be boring, though.
So what does /k/ think? Security Forces best bet for my interests? Any current or former SF that can weigh in?
>inb4 lol SF ain't shit to mureehsss or army blah, not real soliders, not real miliarty, etc
Like I said, I'm mainly in for the benefits, although it will be nice to serve and see what that is like.

I have no credentials or experience to have an opinion on this, but in my uninformed opinion it seems like a cushy job that'll be boring as fuck for long stretches of time and everyone else will hate you.
Most overmanned job the Air Force has. Have fun standing at a gate or walking around Air planes while the E4s and above do the actual police part of the job like traffic, investigations, etc.
>Airguns are the fedora's of the gun world
True or no? Explain.
>>35048685
Of course not
Everyone knows CZ's are the fedora's of the gun world.
Airguns actually have a place in the gun world, training, varmint shooting, plinking. the list goes on.
Not really, airguns are more like the mousetraps or the brooms of the gun world, i.e., a house maintenance tool
I would say 1911s are the fedoras of the gun world, and k98s are the trench coats.

Why was German "Blitzkrieg" seen as so revolutionary when the Russians thought up Deep Battle in the 1920s?
Because Blitzkrieg is a peer sized force applied with speed where it would be most effective, Deep Battle is basically zerging and relies on overwhelming numbers to cover all bases.
>>35048505
The Germans never once called it the blitzkrieg until after the war. It was just good ole' Prussian maneuver warfare with tanks and planes. Calling it a revolutionary form of warfare was just propaganda. In reality, texts describing usage of massed armor existed for decades before WW2 started, but only the Germans and Soviets implemented those ideas. Rather than admit the enemy won in France because they did their homework and we didn't, the allies spun it as some radical new form of war.
Germaboo and British historians. The French had developed combined arms at the end of WW1 and used them. This is the same reason we end up with the Italians and French being coward memes. British make terrible historians
Every country's national animal will now be used as a combat asset.
Who is least fucked? Who is most fucked? Who chose a fucking stupid animal?
Why didn't we just choose the T-Rex? Its American, its majestic, and it doesn't sound as wimpy as some dumb monochromatic fish eagle.
Every Bald Eagle sounds like it was punched in the crotch and is trying to catch its breath.

Why isnt there a military grade speaker system with amplified noise abilities strapped onto a t72 chassis that plays demoralizing music with earraping noise levels onto a city under siege?
There are directed sound devices, they empty buildings and such, make the people lose their shit and leave.
But why not combine the directed noise into buildings, earraping music that the enemy hates, or loves, to mush up their hearts, or something triggering, like screeching, or that moooo sound from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA_EuJ5H6Bo or even the whole song?
Imagine hearing insane shit played to you while you are under siege for months.
Imagine your most hated enemy playing bullshit songs of his youth to piss you off before the shelling starts, or stops.
Why the fuck not? The speakers would be powered by insane amount of power, running shifts and positioned well. Enough numbers for at least half the city under siege to hear it. At night. Or before shelling.
Because the logistics and man hours wasted on keeping a mobile armored stereo rolling, are logistics and man hours not spent on an actually useful armored vehicle that can pull its weight.
>>35048168
But it could make the enemy surrender faster, or commit suicide.
>>35048190
no, it wouldn't.
Why cant they just put 2 of those rocket boxes on a helicopter or a bomber?

Ok so I don't go much to this board and I've heard that /k/ knows Ian McCollum, the guy from the YouTube channel Forgotten Weapons, a channel I like and watch often, so I want to ask what's /k/'s thoughts on Ian?
I wish him luck in the domestic violence case.

OH and stop shilling ian.
If you're a strongman of a third world shithole what would be your army's standard issue rifle
Mine would be the G3
>ib4 the full auto meme
You don't get to choose, you get whatever the fuck is assigned to you. This will be based solely on who bribed the guy in charge the most, and if you want to have any input on it all you will be branded a trouble maker and that's (eventually going to be) the end of you.
>>35047580
My answer would depend on the terrain but I'd say for simplicity's sake make the standard issue an AKM. Also have LMGs and SMGs to be most effective. Preferably have the LMG take the same round as the standard rifle and sidearms take the same round as the SMG.
So pretty much for somewhat shit-tier but presumably affordable guns, affordable ammo and (at least in the third world easy to find)
For 7.62x39
AKM
RPK
For 7.62x25
PPSH
Tokarev pistols
After this if you have a high enough budget I'd also suggest making belt fed LMGs a priority but if your army more guerrilla style fighting you'd be better off having easier to hide SMGS.
Just use what the roaches use to keep putting down uprisings in Turkey.
I just cant fathom why every helicopter doesnt have an ejection seat like the ka-50 or 52.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC7Gr8oOQnE
A pilot has a chance to live in a helicopter that is going down, where the fuck did anyone see anything else similar?
The concept is fucking simple and can save lives, the rotors are blown away and the pilot is safe to eject, not eject into the rotors.
What horrors go trough ones head when he is plummeting down knowing that he is about to die?
Why must people go trough that?

unless you can get the rotors out of the way or design it so that they get broken up during ejection, theres a good chance you get decapitated by them no?

its already done on the Ka's
and its 2 sets of them
