To be honest, I only have like 1000 rounds of rifle and 500 of pistol. I don't touch that, though. That is apocoplypse ammo only. If I wanna go shooting, I reload some more or buy some.
Think about it, if there is SHTF, you are not going to be able to carry that all on you or need that much to defend your home. It's overkill. Unless you are planning on supplying a militia.

last ditch are ussually ok. The difference in quality ends up being cosmetic. Those arisakas are good.Type 38 is supposed to be light shooting, while the 99 is much closer to a full power cartridge.
I recommend you reload for either. ammo cost is terrible if you don't
