So we already know that 7.62x25 is a really neat round. It goes fast as fuck, and is great at going through things. We also know that the CZ-52 is so stupidly overbuilt that it will tolerate some ridiculous loads. Normal Wolf FMJs can hit 1,700fps. But, what if we took things further? What if we used accelerator sabots (pic related) to load the cartridge with a .224 spitzer boat tail bullet? Would it even be possible to fit an SS109 projectile in the case? I know the whole idea is fucking retarded, but the concept of getting a 62 grain projectile going over 2,000fps out of a handgun seems won't get itself out of my head.
>>33991944
Look online, you are not the only one who thought of this idea. As far as I know, the biggest issue is that the rounds where unable to achieve any real accuracy.
But I am not against the idea of trying this myself. Maybe after I get some more experience loading 7.62x25. The biggest issue I see is the nominal .310 bore of most toks but CZs do have tighter bores on average.
>>33991944
Just buy a better gun in a real caliber you fucking poorfaggot
>>33991998
how is your chosen caliber at defeating armor?
My son just graduated from MCT and is going into 2311 Ammunition Logistics. What does that job entail? Besides supplying ammo obviously.
>>33991750
Playing spades mostly. It's a small community, do you know where he'll stationed?
>>33991764
No not yet, he just got to his MOS so we won't know for a little bit.
>>33991764
Nevermind I'm a dumbass. Pretty sure MOS school for Ammo is in in Pensacola now. After that he'll get his permanent duty station. Just tell him to avoid Oki like the plague.

Relevant.
I just got my first two guns last week after browsing for 5 years.
I bought an SKS and an old single shot top break shotgun (Canadian).
When it comes to lead I'm basically scared to handle my guns. My SKS has been sitting in the gunbag and every time I handle it I immediately go wash my hands with soap after.
I just cleaned the shotgun for my first time, greasing the internal action parts and cleaning the barrel.
>I did it outside with newspaper under it
>I wore vinyl gloves and ended up changing them a time
>I used shitloads of paper towels and cleaned everything meticulously after
>I'm sitting here worried that the bottom of my feet, my face, and my arms are all contaminated with lead
I'm not even making dinner for myself because I feel like there's some dormant lead somewhere on me.
I know I'm taking too many steps towards this but how do you all generally clean your guns and deal with lead while cleaning or at the range?
>I'm getting lead all over my keyboard right now
>>33991542
unless you're wearing a mask while you shoot you're probably inhaling trace amounts of lead
;)
I drink a lot. I'm drunk most nights. I spend a lot of time at local sports bars. So, obviously I don't carry often when I'm out and about. I end up in fights often, never start them though.
Any martial arts that are good for drunkards?
you have one choice,

I got an 1851 brass frame 44 navy, Uberti/CVA, for 350 in Canada.
Shoulda got the walker for 600 instead.
It's nice but it's a hobby for people with patience let me tell you what. Doesn't hurt to have rose colored glasses and a strong interest in western stuff.
I'm trying to get a bunch of pre made paper cartridges made for the next time I go out but that may be in forever from now.
>>33991469
I've got 2 Hawken rifles that I inherited from my grandpa. one in .54 cal and one in .50 cal
I get pretty shit accuracy out of them but they're fun to shoot.
Uberti and Pedersoli make good revolvers. Pedersoli guns are more expensive though
What do you guys think of this Glock PDW? Form factor beats any 9mm pistol caliber carbine but essentially does the same thing -Takes Glock brand Glock mags. Weighs in @ around 4lbs. Can carry between states, loaded, just like any other pistol.
Inb4 get a Ar pistol.
I hope you don't have any dogs, OP.

No to the red dot, and use it for HD
So a week or two ago my buddy (who is a bit of a dumbass when it comes to guns honestly) really wanted a Luger so he went looking for one on gun broker. He found one and placed a bid on it for like 900 I think, but was about to buy now for 1200 because he wanted it so bad. The gun was an x marked russian capture with import markings obviously. My gut feeling was that was way too much, but I admit I often have trouble estimating the values of surplus guns, so I didn't really say anything.Personally, I feel lugers are a bit overrated and that people often way over pay for them simply because they "are a luger" What do yall think?
also I should add that someone outbid him for it before he could pay the 1200 and buy it immediately. So he ended up not buying it anyways
>>33991157
Apparently it's worth it to him, and it's his money, so fuck it...if it make him happy, why not?
>>33991181
very true, people do often over look that point. However he is sort of obsessed with getting a good deal on guns, and was of the belief the gun would immediately appreciate in value. Which is why I ask
Can you find a submachine gun with a better looking magazine than the STEN?

So I've been wanting a Saiga 12 forever but with current prices I can't justify spending 2k for soviet bloc tech. Then this fugging thing comes out so I look into it and find:
DDI claims:
>DDI-12 not a copy but an evolution of Saiga
>has adjustable gas system for low-powered shells
>all the strengths and none of the weaknesses of Saiga 12 - badass motherfucker overall
What I found on a couple forums:
>shit finish
>front sight falls off easily
>still can't cycle some shells
>lots of factory defects with some guy having his gun blow up after first couple dozen shells
Anyone on here actually have this POS? Can you confirm?
>>33990972
just get a vepr 12 for fucking 700.
>DDI
that's all you need to know
Get a VEPR you fucking noob. They are better shotguns anyway. Saiga 12s have always been plagued with lemons
I plan on going to this gunshow on sunday (Oak, PA)
http://gunshows-usa.com/penn.shtml
Honestly though I've read so much shit about gunshows here that I'm kind of having second thoughts about even going. I have a feeling it's just going to make me angry seeing fudds selling Smith and Wesson M&P Shields for 600 dollars and Glock 19s for 1200 and I'll turn around and leave within 30 minutes.
On the other hand I've never been to a gun show before and the gun shops in my area suck dick in terms of selection, so it might be cool just to see some guns in person and maybe fingerfuck a few if I'm able. If I can find a Walther P99 for a not retarded price I'm walking away with it, but I doubt that will happen.
Should I even bother? Go just to go, or just say fuck it and spend the day shooting the guns I do have.
>>33990942
Dude, just go. They're a lot of fun if you don't plan on buying anything. Go there to see guns from some guy's personal collection. Finger fuck a couple of them. If you find a gun you really want, and it's overpriced, guess what? You can go online, and find one cheaper. You don't have to buy it there. Just enjoy yourself
Gun shows are just a flea market for /k/ related stuff. The normal rules of a flea market apply. You'll find lots of pure crap and lots of overpriced stuff, and see lots of weirdos. But if you're patient and careful, you can find some great deals.
>>33990942
Go to the show, I always do. There's tons of shit but every once in awhile you'll find good deals.
Most shops in SEPA are garbage, the shows are better.
>Get full sized pistol for first pistol.
>Really fun to shoot.
>Only care about full sized pistols now because of how nice they are.
>No interest in CCing.
Has this happened to anyone else?
I've been seeing shields for 210 dollars after rebate and constantly consider it, then I think I'd rather just have a fullsized pistol
>>33990817
I CC a full size pistol. People try to push the compacts for CC but my full size 92 carries just fine.
If ye be not a manlet, than to carry a full sized pistol should you able to.
Give this guy a medal for speed!

What even happened there for the kid to try to smack him with his rifle?
He got a fucking hit too, that's pretty impressive.
>colorado
>suspect is mexican with an AR
>sheriff deputy is of french descent.
>suspect looks like his trying for an overhead buttstroke onto the deputy.
>deputy draws on the suspect while falling and plays "tag your it, American edition".
ok /k/ so while dicking around i noticed that the casing for .308 is the same diameter as a regular .45ACP. so naturally i wanted to see if it would fit in my 1911's barrel... well too long to go through the ejection port, so i took it apart to see if it would fit in the barrel, and it stops almost all the way in
i don't have any 7.62x39 to try, so I'm wondering what needs to be done for this to work.
>>33990270
L-lewd
now load the 45 into your 308 rifle
>>33990270
>putting a rifle cartridge in a barrel only mean't for pistol ammo
good luck when that detonates
