Which model of AKM that is widely used in MENA or other global conflict zones, is the best made, most accurate, and reliable?
>>34003907
i dunno lol i dont know anything about guns
>>34003907
Never thought about a comparison between every countries AKMs.
Interesting.
Anyways, seems like as good a place as any to ask: what is different about Polish AKM pattern rifles?
I heard that they have a reinforced BCG and some extra shit around the bolt.
Is that true?
>>34003907
AK-63 are really nice t.owner
Hey /k I need help designing a super cool gun, please help.
Picture totally related.
Here is another design.
>>34003870

>>34003870
>no barrel at all
Have fun with your bullet going nowhere.
I am ready when you are!
>>34003506
Ok, I'm probably not going to be ready.
Ever.
Nice helmet btw.

Looking to get into law enforcement but never shot a gun before. Will graduate university in 4 years so I have time to train. Any recommended guns to start with? US preferred
I thought police departments don't let officers choose their carry weapons.
>>34003350
>US preferred
>Posts a Glock
>>34003364
I'm asking what weapons does law enforcement usually use. Maybe I wasn't clear with the op post.
only the most beautiful planes
Have we talked about this yet?

tl;dr
>NJ State Police receive Sig P229s
>FTE everywhere
>Sig can't figure out the fix
>NJSP dumps Sigs and goes with Glock
>Sues Sig

Back of the muzzle device is going to be slightly inside the front of the handguard with that length. Subtract the length of the threading (0.6 inches) from the barrel length to figure out if it'll clear the rail.
Go with a 14.5" barrel if you have the 13.5" rail, or a 13" rail if you have the 14" barrel.
Smallest difference between rail and barrel length I'd go with is 0.7" like pic related (13.7" barrel and a 13" rail).

Father in law is selling two lever actions - a Winchester Model 1894 Trapper 45 Cal for $600, and a Carbine 30-30 for $400. Both have only had a few rounds shot through each.
I'm looking for something to go camping/hiking and maybe even pig hunting with on the family property. Anyone with experience with either? Pic related.
30-30 hands down
>>34002197
For a more effective firearm, the .30-30. For fuck you in a cowboy, .45
>>34002197
30-30 is more useful if hunting is your only goal, but I think you'll have more fun with the .45
Artillery crew, would you say your job is "fun" or at least, satisfying or interesting?
What parts about it do you like best? What parts about it do you dislike?
arty fags are always smiling. making big boom boom is fun.
not really a skill that applies to civilian life, and enjoy your tinnitus because you're going to have it
>>34002180
Very fun. Laying the tube. Fire Missions. Any and all time in the field.
The bad. Endless cleaning and PMing things that don't really need PMing or cleaning. Unpacking and packing camo netting. Sudden inspections that always seem to coincide with getting in from the field when everything is filthy. Everyday hurry up and wait culture of the military.

8 years and no tinnitus. So not so much. I didn't even wear earplugs half the time and sometimes I just used empty .223 shells.
I want a bolt action with iron sights sinilar to a M98/K98 but brand new. Any suggestions? The only ones I have in mind is CZ
>>34002165
>insert any mauser action bolt rifle made since 1898
you're going to be hard pressed friend
>>34002188
I want one with a controlled feed system just like the M98, iron sights and reliable/well built. There are many but I want to see my options
>>34002188
>>34002305
Mauser made some commemorative Gew.98 and Kar.98ks back in 1998 for the centennial.
So, /k/....
I've come into possession of some M855A1 handloads and had good results with them. However now I've a fuck ton of spare cartridges I don't need and could use a little bit of money at the same time.
What sort of legalities issues do I run into if I sell a few rounds at a time on gunbroker or through a private sale? Will ATF shoot my dog if they hear I am selling reloads?
>>34002136
I'd be more worried about liability if I was you.
>>34002136
Sell them as collectible ammunition with the disclaimer you make no guarantees about their safety. Most folks with unusual ammo to sell do so like this.
I've got some M855A1 in my collection, too.
>>34002192
I keep hearing that, I'll see what (should) be done. After all, I am selling live ammo- but I don't intend to do it for sales. It's really just getting rid of 'collectible' (at least at this price) ammo.
>>34002224
That's actually a really good idea.
How much M855A1 do you have? Do you keep any for defense or anything like that?
What should I say to make certain that there is no warranty implied?

Hello friends, so I totally didn't drill out an 80% lower. I definitely didn't mess up while doing it either. But say, hypothetically I did. Is the hole for the buffer retainer spring supposed to be open. (As in picture) you can also see that apoxy has been used to fix some things.
>>34001768
lol, try again.
Also what are the dementions for the hole for the trigger?
