hey /k/ my dad is looking for an air rifle that will kill squirrels
any recommendations?
>>35061788
a simple break barrel will do the job, im more parcial towards break barrels in .22 cuz ammo is dam common and it can easily take rabbits if needed.
maybe a hatsan or a crosman
>>35061817
>crossman
OP wants an air rifle not an experiment on how often you can return things to the store before they refuse your money.
crossman is garbage OP. buy a Gamo silent cat in .177
>>35061788
Get a spring powered airgun but don't use Gamo, good triggers but they aren't really accurate and don't hit hard, get a Benjamin or Crossman in .22 caliber. Be careful of scopes though, factory ones aren't the best but normal scopes for .22lr rifles won't do well with the recoil.
I have used a Benjamin silver kodiak with sights made from paper clips and the thing will destroy squirrels and rabbits.
Just got word back from the smith on this, everything looks perfectly good except for the barrel, which is pitted to the point of it most likely being unsafe to fire. It's still a cool buy, especially for the price I paid, but who knows when I'm going to be able to find a barrel for it that doesn't cost more than what I paid for the gun.
>>35061598
looks like scrwp metal
>>35061598
i love you bro
>>35062077
kys nigger
If the pitting isn't to far, you might consider having the barrel cut short. Maybe down to a 20 inch or 18 inch, but Idk.
Let's see some sexy revolvers
what are some surplus military clothes that don't make you look like a school shooter or conscientious objector?
>>35060965
Stop being a faggot and just use civilian gear. If you wear milsurp and you aren't a milbro you suck dick. Face it.
Not even military guys wear their gear outside of training because they don't want to stand out.
>>35060965
Socks, undershirts, underpants.

Not sure which of you is shitposting harder
Alright, /k/ - you are put in charge of the Belgian navy. This once-formidable fleet has been whittled down to pic related. Its ships-of-the-line are two sub-3,000 ton Dutch frigates built in the 1980's.
Current acquisition plans are two more frigates by 2030, along with 6 new minehunters, though retirements of existing vessels will probably mean no net change in fleet size. The annual naval budget is somewhat under a billion Euros, and includes payroll for about 1,900 sailors and personnel. There is a very small naval aviation component consisting of some NHIndustries NH90 helicopters, along with older Sea Kings and Alouette IIIs.
In addition to guns/CIWS, the frigates are armed with Sea Sparrow anti-air missiles, Harpoon anti-ship missiles, and Mark 46 anti-submarine torpedoes.
Structural advantages: Belgium has a coastline facing the North Sea/Atlantic Ocean along with very large modern shipyards and drydocks capable of handling massive vessels. Antwerp is one of the world's largest ports, and the country's maritime industry is among the world's most advanced.
Disadvantages: Small budget, several decades of limited investment in naval capability, limited personnel, little native warship fabrication capability beyond minesweepers.
Given those constraints, how would you reform the Belgian navy, /k/?
Step 1: increase Belgium's defense spending from 1% of GDP to 2.5%.
Fundamentally, there's not much you can do without a budget increase. However, I'd look to exploit what the navy has.
That means making use of the minehunter fleet. Create a "rapid" deployment method so that you could carry three or four minehunters on the back of a mothership. This would a be great and niche capability to have - extremely useful for a coalition operation.
Have you seen the size of Belgium?
So in shtf situation, like Harvey, what do you guys think https://www.safeguardclothing.com/15-bullet-proof-vests/coolmax-carriers/coolmax-iiia-bullet-stab/
My other option is build a plate carrier like every other mall ninja opperatard
>>35060448
full plate armor
There was not looting in Harvey tho
>>35060472
lmao what
So say I have a gun for home protection I keep in a fingerprint safe beside my nightstand. I have 3 magazines that I keep one full. How often should I swap out the rounds from one mag to the next for optimal spring reliability so the mag springs wear evenly? I've been told that springs shouldn't be left compressed for extended periods. But maybe that's bullshit, I don't know.
What kind of gun?
>>35060422
>How often should I swap out the rounds from one mag to the next for optimal spring reliability so the mag springs wear evenly?
Never.
>I've been told that springs shouldn't be left compressed for extended periods. But maybe that's bullshit, I don't know.
It is bullshit.
As long as the springs aren't compressed past their limit (they will not be in any decent magazine) there will be no damage.
>>35060422
When will this fuddlore end?
Like returning a shot from a shotgun, the most powerful shot, without sacrificing the size of the shotgun, the shot shot more powerful give me the crazy but realistic ideas that have anonsalthough I would like it to be fixed more in the shotgun than in the cartridge something that makes the shot more powerful ... ideas?
>>35060321
Are you having a stroke right now?
>>35060321
Reading that just gave me a headache...
Just shoot the whole shell.
So I bought 100 rounds of this stuff linked up from a old guy at a flea market for 35 bucks... Should I pull the bullets and load 7.62 nato or get something to shoot it? Will being loaded in 7.62 nato take the performance way down?
>is .308 Special less powerful than M2 AP .30-06
Could you really not answer this question your self
>>35060153
>Will being loaded in 7.62 nato take the performance way down?
no. 762 NATO was literally designed to mimic the babyshit 30-06 the M1 Garands required.
>>35060174
Literally asking if the ap aspect will be marginally less where it'd just be worth it the keep the m2 and not pull the bullets. Like not going through ar500 for example.
Alight /K/,
why shouldn't I get a 1911 in 10mm?
I already have I 1911 officers in .45. I really love it except have to change out the recoil spring out damn near every time I take her out to go shoot it. I shoot A LOT of rounds when I go shooting.
>>35059652
You answered it yourself. The 1911 is an outdated caliber made obsolete by the service life of polymer guns
>>35059673
10mm is few and far inbetween. especially for under 1k. and i dont really like glocks
>>35059652
>I really love it except have to change out the recoil spring out damn near every time I take her out to go shoot it.
Umm... why? If you're getting incomplete feeds, then the problem is probably the extractor.
What the Block II program should have been

Best AR coming through
>Survives mud
>Survives shooting underwater
>Survives falling 25 feet onto concrete
>Survives being being ran over..and over.. And over.
>Still works
>>35059430
I carry one
>>35059430
These are legitimately good cc guns. Only gripe I can think to have is FUCK a 9lb. DAO trigger.
>>35059430
Hipoints don't fall apart while you use them, they're just ugly as hell, just a more ghetto glock

>The U.S. Army’s rapid reaction force in Europe is under-equipped, undermanned and inadequately organized to confront military aggression from Russia or its high-tech proxies, according to an internal study that some who have read it view as a wake-up call as the Trump administration seeks to deter an emboldened Vladimir Putin.
>The Italy-based 173rd Airborne Brigade lacks “essential capabilities needed to accomplish its mission effectively and with decisive speed,” according to the analysis by the brigade, a copy of which was obtained by POLITICO.
>But the assessment details a series of “capability gaps” the unit has identified during recent training with Ukrainian troops with experience battling Russian-backed separatists, who have used cheap drones and electronic warfare tools to pinpoint targets for artillery barrages and devastated government armored vehicles with state-of-the-art Russian antitank missiles.
>Some of the shortfalls, like the brigade’s lack of air defense and electronic warfare units and over-reliance on satellite communications and GPS navigation systems, are the direct results of the Army's years of fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, where the enemy has no air power or other high-end equipment and technology.
>“The lessons we learned from our Ukrainian partners were substantial. It was a real eye-opener on the absolute need to look at ourselves critically,” Col. Gregory Anderson, who commissioned the report earlier this year during his stint as the brigade’s commander, told POLITICO after it had obtained a copy of the report. “We felt compelled to write about our experiences and pass on what we saw and learned.”
>The report has so far been distributed only through internal channels to the Army staff and other military headquarters.

Thanks very much Donald Rumsfeld.
Its understandable really. Its of course debatable whether the entire worlds combined militarys could halt concerted Russian aggression, but to expect it of a unit (airborne no less, an utterly irrelevant form of insertion, inb4 "muh legs") who has spent too long being influenced by lazy incompetent Italians is totally unrealistic.
>>35059315
we need them only for them to get spectacularly btfo to win over the american public for the war(think pearl harbor 2.0)
How is Russia capable of maintaining these capabilities with such a small defense budget? Is the US's DoD so inefficient that being 4 times as big is effectively canceled out?
Alright /k/ I want to tell you about the time I made eugenic bro spiders that adapted to humans.
>live in South
>have a bunch of dumb ass shit like Black Widows and Brown Recluses
>we have even more of these big ugly momstrosities called pregnant Wolf Spiders
>these horrors from hell crawl around with hundreds of fresh babies on their backs
>they are also big as fuck and move fast
>do some research on Wolf Spiders because they would be the easiest to holocaust
>turns out they're bros and look cute
>picrelated
>they also kill the fuck out of black widows and brown recluses
>and will NEVER bite humans
>formulate a plan, a plan where spiders can roam free in my house but only the Master Race ones
>go to a PetCo and buy 3 spider cages one for the "Spider Youth" and one which later be called the "Spider Dome" and the last for individual housing of each spider
>get back home and start catching Wolf Spiders which was hard as hell
>finally spot the Motherload
>a mother wolf spider full of fresh babies ready to indoctrinated
>meingott.jpg
>start getting everything together, the Muder is put into the Spider Youth tank and the rest are put into their own little spidey houses which there were 6 of
>the muders do eat their babies if they off however this one moved cautiously than others
>the first step was vasalining the shit out of all the cages after a few got out
>next was the indoctrination phase
Got this bro on one of my lawn plants, he's about 3 inches long
>How do we weaponize spider?
>>35059002
Bumping for brown recluse gassing
>>35059002
See this? This is a black fucking widow cunt. They live in big groups but still eat other.
>show babby spiders and other 6 pictures of black widows/brown recluses in an autistic military like powerpoint
>use my fingers to communicate with them but I'm not sure what the fuck it means, atleast they listen unlike my wife
>btw I kept the Indoctrination thing a secret because she might divorce me
>show Wolf Spiders propaganda of black widows/brown recluses killing their own kind even their children
>show gifs as well since most videos on NatGeo had dumbass sound effects like TRex roars which would only confuse them
>show them affection every day and feed them dead black widows/brown recluses
>soon the babies grow up so I remove the muder and put her into a makeshift home
>however the babies started to act niggardly and kill each other
>all my time putting together powerpoints and learned spider language felt wasted
>find out they're territorial so Master Race army would not be possible
>however Master Race Assualt Squad would be
>pullout the 3rd cage which I would have used for lizards and put them in there, let the strongest and biggest survive
>now begins phase three: Combat Simulation
>all these Spider Youth will know is the blood of subspider and the love of man
>I first put in a veteran spider against a black widow and the Vet 1 easily killed it
>for the next one I gave the black widow some food and let it make a web to take the Combat Simulation to the level
>Vet 2 didn't make it.. Vet 3 killed the BW though
i'd say it's the afghan war, it's literally pointless
Not for CIA.
>it's literally pointless
Revenge for 9/11 and an end to terror. Bin laden is dead and there hasn't been a second 9/11, so we won.
>>35058441
I wouldn't want anything changed if that's what you mean. History's history.
That said on the US side of things, WWI Vietnam and Iraq are the bigguns when it comes to pointless wars that only benefited elites.
