Hey guys, planning to try my luck and test my mettle by joining the FFL.

Anyone here have any experience, tips or info for someone who is relatively new to military life?

Just join your country's army, you'll have less of a needlessly hard time.

if you think you'll be used as cannon fodder you'll be disappointed cause spoilers
you wont
also it's not as needlessly hard as it was in the past

All of training is more or less a game. Nobody really expects you to do infinity plus one push ups, they just want to see you keep struggling and try to reach that number. If they bitch you out for stopping it's not because they elected more from you, it's because they want to see what you do when you're tired out and broke. Pro tip, the correct answer is that you keep driving your body to the breaking point, eventually they'll get bored and move on to somebody weaker.

Who is your favorite pilot /k/ and who do you think was the most skilled pilot to have flown?

Hans-Joachim Walter Rudolf Siegfried Marseille

Master of deflection shooting. Impeccable rounds fired/hit ratio.

Shame the way he fell.

I wonder how he would've fared late war flying G series 109s or Dora 190s against unstoppable odds.

I have a Zev Race Connector V4 which seems to smooth out the pull some but doesn't really lighten it. I have some Wolff springs on the way and I'm thinking about picking up a Ghost Evo connector. What kind of setups are you guys running?

I'm staying away from complete drop ins due to cost and the apparent risk of accidental discharges.

And for those wondering, I also got in that blackmesa patch from that wierd fan/scifi shop in bingbong land. I asked about the site a month ago, I think?

Anyways, it's a bit smaller than I thought, but only $4 and looks nice on the hat.

t. Someone who can't slot a cunt from 400 metres with one

G36C is designed for an entirely different role, and although the price per unit is more, the Armed Police budget to equip one man is greater than the budget to equip one british soldier simply because of the size of the amount of Armed police compared to soldiers, not to mention each section has a uber fuckbig expensive counter IED ECM, but I'm sure you knew that as this post is bait.

Now I want another revolver. Probably a snub for carry.

Does anyone know what kind of S&W I have? It looks like an old model 36, but is stupidly light and for some reason the cylinder is not magnetic. Is titanium nonmagnetic or is it made of aluminum? It belonged to my great great grandfather and I am 24 to maybe put a very vague approximate age to it.
>>
>>34060101
Smith and Wesson Model 12 or Model 37 depending on whether it's a J or K frame sized gun. They had both aluminum frames and aluminum cylinders and were used by the Air Force in the past. Unfortunately, the cylinders being aluminum means that they were/are fairly fragile guns that don't hold up very well even when firing standard pressure .38 Special loads. I believe the Air Force actually had a special lightweight loading just for them.

Congrats. Have fun finding mags with non broken springs. Dicks broke so many I hate it. Also its an amazing rifle and easily out shoots most if not all other semi autos from its era. Good purchase if you got it for 900-1100.
>>
>>34058431
Got it on gb for 910. Im hoping I dont need another mag for it. ever.
>>
>>34058464
Honestly the idea behind these and everything of the time was to never remove the mag, just load it from the top and only remove it if you absolutely have to. Don't put your dick in the receiver and pull back either. She bites pretty damn hard.

Made Eagle 2015. I get all sad+kinda angry inside when I think of the current state of my troop and the organization as a whole. Eagle looks good on resumes.

Learned to shoot at summer camp, which led to a venturing group that just did shooting, which led to being on my state hi-power youth CMP team.
>>
Was awarded my Eagle in August 2013 and got left my troop shortly thereafter (for college, at least). As much as I appreciate my Eagle, and I do, I value my time as a scout camp counselor 10x more. That was the kind of scouting experience you read about in the books. My best friend on staff just got promoted to program director seven years after we first started, and I couldn't be happier for the guy

So, how ARE your safety scissors and glue stick skills?
Do you have any tips on achieving the ethnic/sexual diversity patch?
Should I opt for anal or oral?

Who here went /rogue/, dropped out, and learned shit tons of more useful and manly skills like shooting, welding, blacksmithing, general camping shit, and medical care (to list a few)

Cub scouts was so much fun, and then they drop THIS shit on you.

>When the military turns you down because you have Asperger's Syndrome, and according to DOD 6130.03, anybody on the autism spectrum is permanently disqualified from joining any branch of the armed forces.

Is this fair? You could turn aspies and high functioning autists into some of the most cold blooded killers on the planet if you tried. I get that the low functioning ones that are pretty much retarded don't belong, but high functioning autists can have pretty much no problems with the right therapy.

I ran into more than my fair share of service members who probably had some form of autism that were basically the worst at everything.

Sorry that you're an autist OP but you and your kind don't belong in the military.
>>
For yours and their own good, spergs would be a liability in the military.

Don't get disheartened, if anything, /pol/'s little game with Shia LaBeouf proves autists are more than qualified for intelligence agencies.
>>
>>34052492
Didn't get turned down for it. Turned down because they asked the question and you opened your mouth.

Thought honesty was the best policy instead of simply saying "no".

Do you think the Desert Tech MDR could be a good service rifle for the/a military?

Solved the right/left shooter problem, good trigger, quick caliber conversion and generally seems to have fixed a lot of flaws bullpups previously had.

Why would or wouldn't it be a good service rifle?

Opinions?

The military needs a weapon that actually exists.
>>
Maybe they could work on actually getting a single unit to retail. That said, superficially it looks like a nice blend of features for a bullpup.
>>
>>34046607
Except it, ya know, doesn't actually exist.
