Is it possible to make a perfect rifle with enough money? I'm talking multiple millions of dollars dedicated to making a single rifle - a rifle that shoots 0 MOA consistently, exhibits little to no bullet drop, never suffers mechanical failure, and has parts that never wear out. Could this be a thing?

Hey, /k/. First time posting here, just got my CCP and looking for a good pistol to carry. Currently interested in a Springfield XD 9mm subcompact mod 2, is that a decent choice or am I a fucking retard?

I've compared it with a Glock 27 subcompact and I like the XD better for the grip safety and the ambidextrous mag release. What do you carry?

>>34100388
I carry a P30. Isn't the G27 a 40? I'd recommend the VP9sk to someone looking for a carry gun, but you should get what you like. If someone on here tries to tell you how their favorite pistol is "better" chances are they're wrong. Hope this isn't a bait thread because it has signs of being one. Good luck on your search if it isn't.
>>
>>34100428
Not a bait thread. You're right though, I meant Glock 26. I guess I'm just trying to get a feel for /k/'s do's and don't's. I really like the XD but I don't know if I'm missing something important that could change my decision.

What's the mag cap on the VP9sk?
>>
>>34100464
10 rounds. You can put normal P30/VP9 15 rounds magazines in it though, you can also put an x-grip on them so they fit flush. I'd rather have a P30sk but you seem like a striker fired fan and they both feel similar in the hand. The VP9 has a less aggressive grip texture than the P30, I always have to wear an undershirt with it.

Don't give a shit about a dog's breed, if it's attacking me, it's getting shot. And if one of my dogs got out and was attacking someone else, they would be in the right to shoot my dog.

EXPLAIN THIS.
21 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
I'm no optics scientist, but the lenses probably appear blue from the outside because all the blue light gets reflected, and the green light is filtered through?
>>
>>34100058
The lens' color doesn't matter because all the light coming in is set to a CCD. The CCD then sends an electronic signal which is processed and then sent to a screen, which you see. A NVG is not a regular scope.

Magic and shit.

Creating something of a post apoc setting here /k/ and I had a gun question.

Suppose there were a lack of vehicles, heavy artillery, sophsticated tactics, and a specific terrain made suitable for a return to trench warfare, a bit like was in the Iran-Iraq War.

Infantry of the age have a wide variety of guns to use from Semi-Automatic rifles and carbines, to shotguns, and LMG's. These are easy to acquire and ammunition is plentiful.

Suppose an line of infantry were to charge and close in a line of soldiers in a trench. For the defenders, would it make any sense at all for them to try and swap their semi-automatic rifles and pick up a shotguns to try and blast the approaching infantry as they close in.

For the attackers, would it make sense if they were armed with shotguns, or should they stick to semi-automatics or even SMG's?

I'm talking mostly about Semi-Automatic Shotguns here with Drum Magazines like the Striker, but if there are other types more effective that's okay. They can also be equipped with bayonets.

When I mean Semi-Auto rifle I mean something like the M4. I wasn't sure if Assault Rifle was a correct term.
>>
>For the attackers, would it make sense if they were armed with shotguns, or should they stick to semi-automatics or even SMG's?
SMGs would be best. At trench ranges, shotguns simply dont spread much, not enough to justify their shallow magazines and limitingly large ammunition.

I'd also like to know about the effectivenss of the AA12 vs the M4 when deployed en masse in a trench warfare scenario too.

The whites that haven't died have retreated into the Bush to fight a guerilla war against the ANC and their butchers.

You are a member of these guerilla forces. Choose your loadout. Nothing too ridiculous. Be realistic.

Also discuss tactics and strategies.

I am unsure what gun this is I think it's a springfield. It says Springfield Armory 1917. I do know it was used by a great grand father in the first world war.

>>
That's a Remington sporter .308, my dad has one. It's got the same wooden stock and black barrel.
>>
Terrible picture. With a 1917 date it should be a M1903. Looks like a krag though
>>
Krag-Jorgensen rifle, either a Springfield Model 1892, 1896, or 1898. There are no US Krags dated "1917", so you're either reading the date wrong or reading the serial number.

I'm seriously debating a pump-action .410 AR shotty build.

Anyone else done this? I've never shot a mag-fed .410 let alone one that uses AR parts.

Statistically, shotgun slugs have the highest lethality at close range. However 12- and 20- gauge guns can't hold that much ammo like .410 can.
