So I just picked up a Jericho 941R the other day but it't got a couple of conflicting markings. It has "Desert Eagle Pistol" etched into it and I'm damn sure it isn't a desert eagle. It also has IMI branding as well as "Magnum Research INC" on the other side. But it also says "Made in Israel H3". Is this thing legit or did I buy some fucked up chinese bootleg?
>>34159402
its a legit gun. jews thought desert eagle is a better brand name than imi. hell desert eagle 1911s exist.
>>34159423
Can you tell if its actually IMI made or Magnum Research made? I would assume IMI since it says "Made in Israel" on the other side but i just dont know anymore.
>>34159402
It's legit. The "Desert Eagle" thing is just a marketing tactic since the name has a lot more recognizabillity in the US than "Jericho".
Kinda silly, but it's not an indicator of a bootleg. Also funny when I take people to the range and they think they're firing a Deagle until I explain it.

>Russia declared today its first test of a hypersonic missile, a year ahead of schedule. Defense analysts proclaimed the test made U.S. missile defense systems obsolete.
>
The Russian international news site Sputnik suggested the missile, named Zircon, could be installed on Pyotr Veliky, the country’s nuclear-powered missile strike ship. Analysts stated the missile concept can fly at 4,600 miles per hour — that’s 6 times the speed of sound — and would be practically impervious to missile defense systems, reported The Independent.
>Military analyst Vladimir Tuchkov told Sputnik: “It (the Zircon missile system) is expected to be added into Russia’s arsenal between 2018 and 2020.”

Why did US police continue to widely use revolvers long after the rest of the Western world switched to semi-automatics?
>>34158721
Why do you care?>>34158721
>>34158721
Because local municipals buy guns for their officers instead of the federal government buying it for them
>>34158721
>fter the rest of the Western world switched to semi-automatics?
lol, no, in the 80's and into the 90s everywhere I went in Europe, the police still carried revolvers while Police and the FBI and most every 3 letter agency in America was switching to semi autos.
What's your core value system in the best way you could describe it. Would you fight and die for it should the opportunity arise?

Yeah. But I'd prefer not to rush toward a violent outcome if a peaceful one is available.

The Iran Iraq war, despite the presence of tanks, devolved into Trench Warfare due to armored vehicles being very vulnerable to the latest hand held rockets at the time (and a helping does of non-existent tactical skill)
If AT rocket technology were to progress to the point that even modern MBT's were at high risk to an average soldier, would this happen again? What would warfare be like in a setting where the value of Armor has been hugely reduced.
>>34158463
*dies from carpet bombing*
It's mostly a matter of command and control and field grade leadership.
Combined arms warfare requires a lot of coordination and professionalism, which the Iraqis didn't have. It isn't a matter of equipment, so much as human capital.
Arabs are just really fucking bad at war. They need to be handheld and coddled by people who know what they're doing to get anything done and once they have to stand on their own two feet they revert right back to being fucking useless again.
See Afghanistan as an example. Taliban got their shit pushed in when ISAF was around, but once the ANA had to do their own shit they got shown up as the lazy, apathetic shitbags they are.
Friend of mine blacksmithed me a knife from a carbon steel saw blade a while back. It's losing its edge but it's very thick and hand sharpening for about 15 minutes hasn't seemed to do much. Is there any techniques I should use for a larger knife or should I just get an automatic grinder of sorts?
Take it to a knife sharpener

You're buddy who made it can't sharpen it for you?

use a large, coarse tool file. that is what i use on my bush axe.
Now, outside of /k/ I've heard nothing but good things about Del-Ton. They're good AR's. But it seems /k/ has a problem with every rifle that's not some $2000 spikes tactical ultra beyond mil-spec carbine.
I've shot 1000 rounds out of my Del-Ton and have had only one jame, and that was due to me not cleaning and lubing it. So far it's been extremely reliable, very accurate, hold zero, and also has all mil-spec parts, it even has m4 feed ramps.
What's /k/'s issue? Is there problem with Del-Ton?
>>34158344
No, just /arg/ is filled with retarded richfags, and you've put more rounds through your rifle than 90% of /arg/.
>>34158344
If it's a 1/9 twist barrel I don't want it touching me.

Why? Not everybody shoots 77grn fancy loads.
There have been a few threads lately about the A1 and A2. Following the same aesthetic and functioning trends from the M16, A1, A2, and A4 what would the next gen M16 look like?
For clarity, I'm talking about if there was a follow up to the A4 with 20" barrel, following the same evolutionary aesthetic.

Something like the Dutch C7, maybe?
Why do modern armies seriously do this outdated tactic in 2017? The men are strung out and not able to respond as a group. Therefore they would be easy to pick off by sharpshooters one by one down the line. This needs to be reformed and a group formation where all the squad walks together and therefore concentrated firepower can be used and produce fire superiority pinning down the enemy.
>>34157827
Walks together and gets blown up by a single grenade.
we use group formations in afghanistan and iraq dumbass. they are crossing water in the picture and need to be single file.
>>34157828
Not if one of them jumps on the grenade with his helmet dummy. Do you actually know any military tactics?
