>not buying 5 identical PSA kits
Its like you want the commies to take your guns after the next election.
>>34173794
I have one AR. It just sort of sits in the corner these days until whenever I get the feeling to mag dump in the backyard.
>>34173794
I have 4 ARs and an AK, but I sure as fuck didn't buy the same thing over again five times. Why the hell should I do that?
I've got 4 PSA rifles and a lower hanging around. Two are consecutive serial numbers for my wife and I. 3 are consecutive for my 3 sons. The next rifles I put together will likely just be insurance if they ever get banned. Give my sons their serial rifles then a spare or two. My kids are going to have to divy up at least 100 guns.

How retard is the idea of just applying radar-absorbent material on normal planes to make them go stealth instead of spending on billions of dollar design new ones in scratch?
Very
Please read a book before asking stupid questions
>>34173523
I think thats what these things were
RAM coats on planes are very minimal gains for the costs.
Most of the RCS comes from the design of the plane. The shapes, curves, engine inlets, probes, bumps, etc etc are the massive factors in determining a jet's RCS.
Hi /k/omandos
I'm currently thinking about leaving my life behind and living in my car, becoming a nomad kinda. Safety is a concern obviously, but I'm not old enough to buy a handgun and there's not any readily available way for me to get one.
Tl/dr, what are some good brands of fixed blade knives/ rifles I could use for CQC defense?
Sorry I'm not much of a weapons guy, just need some quick advice
>>34173463
>not old enough to buy a handgun
Well I'm not really going to recommend knives. I don't know a whole hell of a lot about them and I think they are a poor substitute for a firearm.
The rifles that I would recommend are short in overall length. Of course, this would be an ideal option when you're travelling light and staying in the confines of a vehicle. The absolutely retarded thing is that you are literally old enough to buy an AR-15, but not an AR pistol. So the pistol option is gone. ARs get pretty damn compact however and getting a pinned and welded muzzle device would make the rifle around 32" with a collapsed stock.
Because of your age, I'm going to guess you aren't made of money and all of this AR-15 advice is moot. If that is the case, I recommend a pump-action shotgun. Pic related is new to the market, already pretty popular, and relatively cheap.
If you are super broke, I'd go for a melee weapon with a bit more reach. Tomahawks and nightsticks afford you standoff that a knife doesn't.

>fucking your life up this bad before your even old enough to buy a handgun

Is there anywhere I can buy a FACTORY NEW CZ 75B?
I can only find the le epin SP-01 models. I've used all the gun search engines and the only model that seems to be in stock is the CZ 75 SA model and I dont want single action.
is this a czech plot to get me to spend more on the sp01
I've literally never seen an SP-01 in person so please buy it and then trade me. Those things are like fucking bigfoot in my area.

noguns newfag here with a question for the /k/ommandos. I wish to buy a firearm for home defense, so i did some window shopping and came to the conclusion of obtaining a simple 9mm or a 10mm glock.
wat do?
>>34173337
Do you want a good gun?
Both fit this
Do you want to meme?
10m
Do you want lots of rounds?
Both do this
Do you want cheap ammo?
9mm
Do you reload?
10mm
I personally have a g20 and love it but I reload, most market 10mm is just 40. Now the other thing the 10mm glock will have more options for changing calibers. So if you like to play with your guns the g20 is better.
thanks for the advice. Might end up with the 10mm . I like the idea of trying out different calibers.
>>34173337
10 megamemer is overkill for home defense. 9mm offers plenty of terminal performance in addition to vastly more controllable recoil and more ammunition capacity. Training ammunition is also much much cheaper because if you can't hit what you're aiming at it's not going to matter if you're shooting a 9mm, 10mm, or a 30mm. You say you're a nogunz, new shooter...buy the 9 and 1000 rds of cheap blasting ammo.
Get a glock 17 9mm and load it with 18 124g HSTs.
Hey /k/ I have some stupid questions.
1; I heard that when firing a semi automatic gun, you have to wait a few seconds between each trigger pull. Is this true, or can I just keep pulling the trigger as fast as I am able? Will rapidly firing without pause cause inaccuracy or damage to the gun or anything? Does it matter if rifle versus pistol?
2; Is there a safe way to store ammo? Like can the gunpowder ignite if it's stored in heat or sunlight? Or can it get damaged/neutralized if stored in damp environment?
Thank you! I'm sorry for being an idiot about guns
>>34173199
Can't tell if serious question or not
You can pull the trigger as fast as you can
Rapid fire will not reduce mechanical accuracy, you may however see a detriment to the practical accuracy that involves you as the shooter and where the muzzle is actually pointing for each shot
You will not damage the gun. Modern firearms barring a few poor examples or a serious mechanical failure will not fire out of battery. Certain shooters may be able to actually "outrun" a trigger but the end result is a dead trigger. Cycling the action will reset and you are good to go again. It is not damaged if this occurs.
Obvious question here is "how hot". I have no idea what the effects of sunlight are, then again that involves you storing loose powder more or less exposed to the elements which will degrade it rapidly
Any reasonable storage conditions a house with regards to temperature are fine
Yes damp can ruin gunpowder
The big killer to powder or potentially primers is temperature swing perhaps in a vehicle. Gunpowder stored indefinitely at 100 degrees or 30 degrees will more or less remain useable, but something in a black vehicle that might reach 140 in the sun in the summer and reach 50 at night may start to accumulate condensation and other ill effects of temperature swing can render it inert
>>34173281
Thank you
>Cycling the action will reset and you are good to go again. It is not damaged if this occurs.
This means racking the slide or charging handle, correct?
>gunpowder will degrade from dampness, hot vehicles, etc
Is this a concern for the gunpowder/primer in unfired rounds (or bullets or cartridges or whatever the proper term is), or only loose gunpowder? Say I leave a box of 9mm rounds in a black vehicle, will those rounds be rendered inert?
>>34174320
Yes it's a semi auto, meaning you must cycle the slide in between shots
If it was full auto this would not be necessary. You can see why this would be illegal
Hey all,
FINALLY bought my first handgun! Went with the 9mm because I want to train with it and not be blowing money on ammo constantly.
I'm a person that absolutely loves modding their stuff, so what cool sort of mods/attachments would y'all recommend? Also the only complaint I had with the gun was the stock sights, they really didn't please me.
Thanks!
Well, congratulations on your purchase. I hope you have fun with your gun. As for attachments, if you plan on having it around for Home Defense, a Flashlight wouldn't be a bad idea. You complained about the sights not being that good, so you can get a really good set of night sights or target sights.
IDK what else, I basic bitch my shit.
just get some nice sights, that's all you really need

I was definitely thinking a nice bright, but sleek flashlight for sure. That tacrail is so sexy.
Any suggestions for either? Pics of your setup?
Who would be the equivalent of the night's watch in the real world? The coast guard? Chicago PD?

French Foreign Legion would be my best guess, as well as French and Russian penal units.
US border patrol
ICE.
So ive seen some guys getting M61 Vulcan barrels and turning them into mini artillery guns if thats what you can call them. So whats the legality of going to buy a barrel and then say mounting it on a bicycle carriage like a mini 37mm gun that the jeeps towed around in the war.
What about smaller with those .50 cal uppers for AR's? this would be of course for use against small varmints on the farm.....
Any of yall make or have ideas for home defense artillery for the dindus or russians or xenos.
This one is literally shot by a game cube controller
>>34172979
that's a N64 controller
The barrels get sold by the milafter so many rounds or there shot out from what i understand.
So my little brother (17) is planning to go camping in the Manistee National Forest with some of his friends. I trust him enough to borrow some of my guns for the trip, but I'm worried about just one thing.
We're from Illinois, so naturally both he and I have FOID cards. If he takes my guns to Michigan, is that legal with him being under 18 and all? As far as I know in Illinois, if you're underage but have a FOID, you can have guns gifted to you. Basically what I'm asking is: Would he and his buddies (who do NOT have FOIDs) be on legal grounds to take firearms to a national park while being underage with a firearms liscense?
LOL this reminds me of a story.
Not far from there in Huron NF, my sister was camping with her husband when they were first married. There was an easement for power lines, where they could see up past the park office, and parking lot which had a large streetlight in the middle. Her husband walked up to piss at the portable toilet near the office and she said it seemed like he was gone for 15 or 20 minutes, long enough she started to panic. He actually came back dripping with piss and crawling on all fours. They figured it had only been 1-2 minutes comparing the time on their watches, but he would never explain why he came back on all fours peeing on himself. To this day he changes the subject at family gatherings and seems annoyed and weird about it.

They may get pissy about handguns, largely depends on how much they like you as fucked as that sounds. Most all the cops and DNR are pretty cool near manistee.
Hey /k/. Hobbyist gunsmith here.
Now I understand that in California it is still legal to build your own rifle for personal use, and at least until 2019 I won't have to serialize it.
However I can't find any info on the legality of pistol builds.
Would I run into trouble because of the handgun roster? Or am I in the clear?
Please help keep my doggo alive. I love him.
Pic related. I want to make my own pistol in obrez style. Single shot probably.
Shameless self bump

Well, yes, actually. This was specifically designed to be California-legal:
