So I have a quick question for all the AR-15, M4, and M16 people on here about cleaning my AR-15... Is it normal for what I'm guessing is the gas block and gas tube to look like this, everything on the rifle was pitch black when I first got it and was thinking that it might be paint, but the more I attempt to clean it the more of what ever is on it wares off, and was wondering if crud could get on the tube and if so how to clean it properly and easily. Thanks in advance.

Carbon scouring, if it won't come off with clp and a tooth brush don't worry about it.
>>34186638
Not op but you "seem" to know how to properly clean an ar. I usually take out the bcg and take it apart and clean that's pretty good and then run a bore snake through the barrel. I'm sure there's more to clean, what else should I be cleaning
>>34186931
Also, OP this is my cleaning routine and I've never had any jams or anything like that. I use CLP, those little square cloths that you buy at gun stores and q-tips for getting deep down in there. I highly recommend a bore snake for cleaning the barrel. I put some drops of clp on it and run it through the barrel a few times then wrap a cloth around the snake and run it through again to see how it looks
I think they might be 100 florbert 6mm
That's .22 CB Cap ammo.
I found this box in my attic

I haven't seen a thread about F-35 in a while, I have asked this before & never got a satisfying answer: What is the minimum safe runway length for F-35A, by which I mean how much runway does it need to abort takeoff after reaching takeoff speed with full combat load, are we talking 1000 meters, 2000 meters, 3000 meters or even more?
>>34185796
2400 meters is the length that Australia requires but that's not necessarily the absolute minimum distance.
>>34185796
I just remember that the last one somehow ended in 300 replies of Gripen-posting and Sven-memes. That being said, seems like an interesting topic
>>34185846
I am aware, part of the reason I am asking is that there's one highway base here in Finland with a runway I know for a fact to be at most 2400m, on one end the runway narrows down into a regular "one lane in each direction" -road & the runway can't really be extended any further in that direction while at the other end the road makes a steep dive almost immediately after the part widened to be used as a runway ends, I can't say for certain how it compares to the other highway bases, but I doubt the others are much longer.
How does overall length matter in determining if something is a handgun?
I thought it didn't.
Then, I hear it referenced in classification of something being an AOW?
What makes something go from a handgun to an AOW and is overall length just a requirement for an AOW to be legal?
My AR pistol with brace is still an pistol right?

Also art thread

Overall length doesn't matter
Is the GG /k/ approved? I never hear anyone talk about it.
I called them and asked if I had to use my real name to purchase it and the guy on the phone said that it's illegal and that the government is listen to our conversation. Weird.
>>34185657
You sound like a retard.
>>34185657
I own a GG2, it's OK but does kind of a 1/2 ass job on the inner pocket. If you don't mind cleaning up what it finishes, it's a decent little machine. Sure takes it's sweet ass time though. About 4 or so hours from start to finish.
>>34185666
Does it have a fun switch?
>CZ 75B
>CZ 75B SA
>CZ 75 SP-01
>CZ 75 P-01
>CZ P-07
>CZ P-10
Why are there so many fucking cz models FUCK. Which one is going to be best and most comfy for target shoot and home defense? Does hammer vs striker really matter?
I think It's coming down to SP-01 vs the P-07 for me. P-07 is same internals just lighter because polymer right?
The P-07 has quite a few differences from a standard CZ, including different barrel and mag well design, trigger, etc. A P-07 will except CZ75 mags, but not visa versa. Strikers are more simplistic, but often lack a second strike capability. Standard hammer fired CZs can transition from single action to double action, and have second strike capability, (except SA model). Trigger pull, safety or decocker, and accessories will differ.
I generally favor metal framed, hammer fired pistols. When in doubt, YouTube or rent.

>second strike capability

. . . Hitting a primer a second time anon.
I suspect I may have developed depression. I've been feeling down for at least 3 weeks now for a variety of reasons and people have noticed. I feel like a burden to everyone, and I have much less motivation than before; some days I don't even want to get out of bed or I lay in there hours after I should have exited. Yesterday was normally my weekly range day but I skipped even though I just bought ammo and I was supposed to pick up a new gun.
I am considering going to a psychologist if things do not improve once my current major stressors are gone (huge deadline at work, med school application turn in). Will I lose my guns? Is talking about my /k/-related hobbies risky? They're one of the few non-work related things that used to make me happy since they're such a huge part of my life.
>>34185254
...and I just got an email from work saying I left whatever I ordered for lunch on my desk and not even eaten.
>Will I lose my guns?
No. Fucking go, cunt.
If you're a yankee-doodle, you need to be forcibly committed to the nut factory.
If you're antipodeanally inclined, you need to be a danger to yourself or others. Same probably goes for Yurop.
>Is talking about my /k/-related hobbies risky?
It probably won't really even come up.
I heard from one psychiatrist from America that I knew, that there are pretty strict laws on them even asking about it, but that might vary from state to state.
As is the case for most private shit basically everywhere in the world, there are usually very strict rules about what they can tell anyone, generally related to threats of violence or self-harm.
>>34185338
American here.
I don't feel suicidal (yet). Like sometimes I think of how easy it would be considering I own multiple guns and a stockpile of ammo, but I'm nowhere near being able to pull the trigger on myself.
Does anyone know about 58 Pattern webbing?
I got hold of an almost complete set from my Granddad, I've assembled it as best as I can but there's still 2 loose rings, I've shown them on this picture. They're part of the kidney pouch attachment tabs, and when assembled sit inside the webbing over the next pouches out from the kidneys. I have no idea where they go.
Also, Cold War thread while I wait.
This also shows them below the belt, over the respirator and water bottle pouches.
>>34185248
there is surplus south african webbing that i believe is based on the 58, you can look it up
What are you lads watching or reading lately?
Picked up on The Unit, it's not as bad as some of you make it out to be.

Am I right or wrong?
I'm really curious about how paramilitary groups get their weapons.
The IRA for example had thousands of small arms, grenades, .50 cal sniper rifles, RPGs and even had a shipment of surface-to-air missiles sent from Libya that was sunk by a British spy.
So when youre a newly formed paramilitary organisation with <500 members and £15m burning a hole in your pocket, how exactly does large scale armsdealing work?
hi fbi
>>34184779
The CIA or ask Israel and say you'll be a good goyim puppet for them
>>34184779
Ronnie Barret sold the rifles to them because he's a cool guy.
Can I own a gun if I have a gross misdemeanor terroristic threats And a 5th degree assault charge?
>>34184651
Anyone can own guns with the current gunshow loophole and lack or a gun registry. Hence why we need a firearms registry so that guns can only be purchased through firearms stores, ending private sales and gunshow loophole sales to felons.
>>34184693
bad troll. go away.
legally? probably not
Never owned or touched a gun before in my life
Is the Colt 22 M4 Carbine /k/ approved?
I can pick one up for $300 on CDNN
I don't want it for anything serious, just for self defense and to take to the range every couple weeks or so
Pic related is the one
Get that and replace the trigger assembly and BCG with something not garbage.
>.22lr
>for self defense
You're a special kind of retard, aren't you?
>>34184019
.22lr has the same energy as subsonic 5.56mm.
Does the Marine Corps still issue 1911's to officers? It says on wiki that the marines still use 1911s but I only see marines with berettas unless we are talking about special forces.

You're superhuman, don't waste any money on earpro and but more ammo.
