Overall, it's pretty much a walk in the park as I burned less than 20k resources and took 5 farming runs for Okinami. My only gripe was the maps weren't enough to fully utilized the Rei-go fleet as I expected to be given it should have been their own limelight to shine. Now back to idling, I guess.

Use the simulator to see what comp can improve your chances, then pray for crits on a torp cut-in. Apparently luck unmodded flagship ABKM gives a better chance if equipped for TCI than DA for instance, which surprised me.

I'd understand if they ported arcade, but I will never understand why the browser game was ported. At this point you might as well wait for an android port and get yourself a cheapo tablet if you're desperate for portable boatsluts.
I'd understand it slightly more if they allowed moving progress between the browser and the Vita game, which is the killer for me. No fucking way I'm going to start all this shit again unless there were some major changes in graphics, like being able to admire sterns in 3D or gameplay, like actually being able to issue commands to ships jRPG style, which is something I assumed Kancolle has when I was registering for the lottery.
I actually haven't seen footage since I don't care enough about it (I mean, even Famitsu scored the vita game a 29/40) but isn't it slightly different than the browser game? I don't just mean UI or whatever I thought the battles were somewhat changed.
But yeah I agree. I mentioned in the last thread but it would have made more sense to make something like the arcade game for the Vita then just quickly port the browser game to Android.

Team building is similar to the main game but you have more control during the battles.
You can use Akizuki as AACI ship and Ooyodo instead of one CAV.
Or go even further and use 3DD 1CL 1CLT 1CA in which case you don't have to use any Rei-go ships.
Which is supposed to be harder, the Transport Node half of E-3, or the boss half of E-3?
I'm having a shit ton of trouble getting past the Transport half and I figured I've got no chance against the boss if this is the case.

The boss is basically a lottery. If you're really lucky, you'll clear quickly. If you aren't, it will be like me where it took dozens of expensive sorties just to clear last dance.
single sonar on each DD was enough to kill anything but the flagship and there's no point killing everything since XP is low and no ships drop from those nodes

I'm already not sure I have enough resources to finish the event in hard considering how much trouble some people have had with this event, but I do know even if I do clear it I don't have the resources to farm in hard.

Chitose's attacks, Fusou's attack and Yamashiro's AP cut-in did total of 1 damage to lv12 Amatsukaze. Only Nagato managed to finish the job with her APCI, my unremodeled team almost got B rank destroying two BBs and wrong CVL.
So I don't have any Rei-go ships besides Ashigara and Ooyodo, how the fuck do I beat E2 Hard? What is my comp supposed to be?
4BB2CV went like shit, 1BB/2DD/1CL/2CA gets me to the boss but they don't do nearly enough damage with all the missing on PT boats even with the support expedition cut-in.
For the transport portion of E3 Hard, if I remember correctly, the resources gathered also replenish one's own, but by how much?
Does it replenish fuel and ammo?
I always forget to check after returning from sortie and remember after I've resupplied my fleets.
By adding daihatsu (2x) to Abukuma, by how much does resources gathered increase? If I take 9 drums and S-rank the boss node, then the gauge depletes by 90.
Maaan, those were some expensive sorties. But it worked. I even got Okinami and Isokaze while chipping.
Get boss support, route support is overrated. DDs are just there to scratch the boss and clear out PTs. If at least one of your CA survives without going into Chuuha it's a kill.
I'm almost done but I am actually worried how the boss portion of this will go, so if I need to turn back and lower the difficulty, then I'm busy estimating resource losses.
4BB2CV is actually enough though. It's just like 2-5 all over again except your only problem is node G. You can also go 1CV/1BB/V/2DD/2CA/V for a squishier fleet but less nodes to go through
How do I make my fleet for the Transport Node half of E-3 any bit better?
Based on the recommended fleet compositions and with the shit equipment I have, I feel like this is the best I can currently do.
I just got Ashigara Kai2 if she's worth anything towards this fleet.

My "Air Power" according to KCV is 0-30, so I feel like I'm not getting AS.

I equipped another Zuiun over the Radar I had on Yamashiro, and now my Air Power is 0-45 so it should be fine now since it's higher than 35.

Well, despite it being ass, I managed to get up to the boss on my first run after making some changes to my fleet with only 4 Chuuha's and 1 Taiha, so unless it's just trying to fuck with my hopes, it seems to have done something.

It's actually more along the lines of after they first drop, they won't miss two events in a row. So they're guaranteed to drop in either of the next two events.

I do a mix of them, by name first, since I remember the order of most things like classes and special ships appearing first, if I cant find x ship then I sortie by level. I "remember" some of the names of the girls that I really like, but thats totally different than actually reading them.
I only go by name first if I'm helping my friend with his account since sorting by level only really works if you're really familiar with the account. Obviously it works with my own account, but I don't access my friend's account nearly as often.
Sorting by level places your ships in some funky, random order that defies all logic. Ships of the same level aren't grouped by ship type. I don't see how anyone can find this easier to use.

Has been my routine all morning without a single boss run.
It really helps that I level most of the same ship type together. The vast majority of my DDs are in the level 54-56 range.
Another reason I find sorting by type annoying is because the way the ships are sorted within their own type doesn't fully follow any logical order, so I can end up taking even more time to find a ship if I sort by ship type, especially if it's a destroyer.

Ship type is grouped in the same retarded order which is closely related to ID numbers. However when you sort by ship type, you get fucking stupid mess with useless lv1 shits mixed between your combat DDs etc. When you sort by levels, you know which levels are on which page and you do remember what ship is on which level.
I always know which page +/-1 a ship is on by level, vast majority of time exact page and even it's position there. Whenever it changes, I'm also aware of that because I witnessed the level up myself. My wives are always at page 1, Akashi and others 90-92 are on page six, subs are on page four, combat DDs and Ro on page 2, ex2 squad on page 12 and so on.
Other sorting methods are utter fuck up whenever you drop or craft something.
There is literally NO REASON to sparkle in this event. Just ram your fleet into the enemy as many times as you have to, it's not like E7 summer where you had to beat the enemy before 12am when the armor gets reset
I find sort by type easier, personally. Generally I use the lowest level ship I have in the given class, searching through pages comparing levels or trying to remember them all is too much effort. First page is Akashi and carriers, second is battleships, third is light carriers and cruisers and so on. No need to remember individual levels and shit. Obviously I know everyone's names.
I precisely know where all of my CAs are when sorting by levels except for Furutaka, Kako and Kinugasa but even in their case I know they should be on page 10 or 11 because i barely touched them since Kai Ni.
Maybe I have good memory with numbers.
What I do know, it's impossible to reliably deal with ever changing mess of ship type.
I just sorted by ship type. Kaga is on page 3, Prinz is on 6 or 7 depending on what I get, Ashigara on 6, 7 or 8, and Akatsuki on 9, 10, 11 or 12.
People who have 60 or more spare slots for drops/farming would probably go insane trying to find their DDs with this method.

Open the next page. I know the order(auxiliaries>CV>BB>CVL>CAV>CA>CL>DD), I know the names, I just need levels close to each other to chose whom to sortie. I only use sort by level to chose destroyers since it's a total mess 6 pages long.
That's wrong. Sparkling helps immensely for E3 HP bar. Sparkle basically eliminates anything that isn't crit. I'm pretty sure it would help on E2 too though that map is rather easy. Sparkle would definitely save resources there but not time.
Level 1 common destroyer drops go first, than it's k2s messed up by level 1 rare destroyers, than common k1 destroyers, than rare k1 destroyers in order they were added in game. If you don't have any level 1 rares cluttering the space you have all your shiny elites in one place at the start of the DD list. Shimakaze and other k1s are all over the place though.
I get the feeling that compared to single fleet, sparkling is ineffective for combined fleet, or at least the increase in evasion and shit is so little it's not worth it. Conversely, that means that fatigue also has little to no effect in combined fleet. That one is much more obvious.
And this is why I don't sort by ship type.

Not the person you're responding to but it's not that bad as far as I am concerned. Common drops and remodeled ships are grouped together. The only time 'lv1 shits' are mixed with the rest is the Kai2 group like pic-related which happens when you don't remodel the rest of your DDs.

Put your jintsu/ooyodo/abukuma whatever, then keep moving to the right and pick out 5 destroyers that are level 90 or above, when they get taiha, go to the end and rotate the damaged ships.
Or you could jump around with the level sort until you find the ship you're looking for.
Yes I admit I am not a jap, but I'm sure that we can all agree that reading numbers is a lot easier than reading 駆逐艦 on the left with all the other shit at the top of your level list

I never said that it's intuitive. You just simply get used to it. For more context, I rotate my expedition fleet so sorting by type made it more easier. As what >>14761634 says, generally you know where your elites are even Yukikaze, Shimakaze and Amatsukaze. The former two are located after Fubukis, Shinkinami and the original 3 Kagerous (they aren't really gonna be jumbled around). Amatsukaze is generally at the few last pages.
Well it does give a higher chance of getting other rare junk that you aren't particularly aiming for but can still serve as farming fodder.
It was her cut-in that netted me the kill on last dance, though I'm not particularly proud of my clear.

Although I used it for E2 for PTs and E3 transport using CVL because of low resource usage. Surprisingly useful if you sparkle beforehand.

I posted here a few times before about getting Hankousen when I have Saiun on. I don't know, maybe because I always put them in the smallest slot. I am fairly sure my Saiun was not shot down since it still have chevron when the sortie end.

You can equip Mitchells on a CV, but:
- They have to occupy the first slot
- The other slots cannot equip aircraft
- They can only attack a single node on the map, which you select at the start of the sortie
- After the sortie, plane count is reduced to zero and pilot proficiency is reduced by a random amount on worlds with no friendly airfield available
- Bauxite cost is doubled
In exchange, you get +200% damage vs. installation bosses, I guess.

What's the method used to farm 3-2A effectively infinitely?
All my ships are now in below 30 Fatigue or whatever and most of their attacks are missing due to this. Hell I just did a night battle to try getting an S and all their attacks missed.
E-2 farming with 3DD 3CA. Would replacing one red gun with a yellow one on my CAs actually be worth it if I want to S-rank node M? Or would I just be gimping my chances at the bossnode for the sake of yellow gun meme?

Hey, m8. This is my setup for 3-2A leveling.
Flagship + 1BBV + 3CVL (2 equipped with dive bombers, 1 with torpedo bombers) + submarine.
Also, if you want accuracy and still have enough firepower to wipe the enemies, use Double Line formation.
