>Many accounts imply that the destroyers rescuing Zuikaku's survivors were all sunk; however, this is inaccurate. The main rescuers were Kuwa and Wakatsuki. The Hatsuzuki - the destroyer sunk subsequently - had begun rescue, but when a fifth attack began took up AA guard duty during much of the rescue. She made a gallant fight to the finish that enabled Isuzu , Wakatsuki, and Kuwa to escape. Hatsuzuki had taken some survivors aboard, however, and these were indeed lost with all the destroyer's crew, except for 17 from Zuikaku and eight of the destroyer's own crew in a boat which made their way to Luzon by 14 November, having been providentially cast off when Hatsuzuki got underway to engage the enemy.
>Adding the survivors from the Zuihou, it would make around 1500 crewmen saved (plus the crew from the rescuing ships). For reference, an Akizuki-class destroyer could hold 300 men aboard.
>In her damaged CG, you can see her look over her shoulder at a little boat. It is possible that is the boat with the 25 survivors in it.
Friendly reminder that GOOD GIRL
>Must all be air crew
>The Zaras more than doubled belt armour compared to the Trentos, with 150 mm in the main belt. The main deck was also very thick, 70 mm (3 in). Turrets and barbettes were as well protected by 150 mm (6 in) armour. In addition to the primary armour scheme, there was secondary armour: the upper deck was 20 mm (0.79 in), and the flank hull above main belt was 30 mm (1.2 in). Almost no other cruisers were equipped with two armoured decks and two armoured belts. This scheme followed, in fact, not quite a cruiser layout, but that of a small battleship. This made the Zaras the best armoured cruisers until the introduction of the Des Moines class by the United States. This additional armour would have made the ships decidedly nose-heavy, so to offset this the rear of the ship was raised by one deck behind the front funnel. The result was excellent watertight integrity and protection
Glancing through the different cruiser classes wikipedia pages casually makes it look like there's some shenanigans going on.
The belt armor on Zara was at least two inches thicker than Myoukos at the thick bits.
But hey, what do I know? I'm not a military modeling otaku, I'm sure the devs know something I don't.
May Mutsu's explosive glow rain across all servers.
So easy, finished her in 4 runs thanks to Shigure.
Still no Okinami though.
>UGUME's stream playing E-3
>"Praise your Bobgod"
Well, Italians had no oceanic ambitions and were content operating in their Mare Nostrum. They sacrificed operational range for armour and guns. Comparable designs from Royal Navy(Kents and so on) had fucking 76mm belts for a good reason.
Did you remember to feed your Abukuma?
So I send in my fleet to sortie, having KC3 Kai running on the background and slightly cheating by looking at the health levels of my ships during battles. I was surprised that I managed to clear 3 nodes without a single hit on my fleet. Then kaga sunk and I realized that I was looking at the wrong fleet in KC3.
I've been staying up too late
Most other events at least let you experiment and switch stuff up due to pathing and such but this event has been pretty bad with everyone using copy paste fleets. Alas it's bound to happen, especially when CIs are pretty much required. Torpedo sluts and ABKM being allowed are basically cheating, Shigure and Beaver are extremely strong at night and Bismarck is the best yasen BB. This is why a lot of event pathing doesn't allow specific ships like CLTs since you otherwise end up with everyone abusing the same "overpowered" stuff.
Maybe getting this while farming for Prinz wouldn't be so bad if I didn't only have
Glorious caché problems.
L node E-3 hard before you ask.
I mean that in an identical copy paste sense. Previous events have had a few different setups that work, some people used Akitsumaru, some used Hayasui, some people brought Kashima and Katori along to farm for Prinz last event, that kinda thing. This event has little to no variation whatsoever.
This is way better than the Shoukaku NTR.
You don't want to know.
The BB himes miss a lot because you have full fuel. Node L gives you Maruyus. Hendersons aren't a problem. You reach the boss with no malus thanks to only having to fight 2 battles.
Why is this game out to get me?
I'll keep trying, this was probably just a fluke. I'm considering swapping Ooi for Kiso, I'm tired of seeing her.
The subs didn't give me a lot of trouble actually, maybe one or two runs have been spoiled by them so far. Had one really good run where Hiyou crit one of the red subs for 45, and Junyou following up with a 38 crit on the flag sub.
Competition swimsuits are the strongest!
You're still salty?
She's pretty high-tier.
Might be good for evasion, who knows.
Do you like her, anon? She could use a friend.
Low energy bongo.
Would not pet.
I want to believe that this is possible, but its so hard.
Recommended route/composition for final dance E-2?
Suddenly someone in my south fleet gets taiha'd along the way every time and 3DD3CA/3DD1CA1CL1CLT north fleet can't kill the boss.
Should I just push north and hope RNG smiles one day?
>This fucking event
I was so optimistic too.
This is crazy.
Yes game, the two girls I want start with A. However none of them are Amatsukaze or Asashimo.
It's a pretty good event. If only Amatsukaze would drop.
Send one over my way, I'll take care of her.
I've spent almost 200 buckets and 10s of thousands of resources on E-3 last dance alone. My cut ins either do not enough damage or they miss the mark. Or, they get fucked up by the opening or ending torpedo.
Why aren't you heathens using Cut-in Princess Ayanami?
>complain in here
>look up my final run for today, two ships heavy damaged at G already, not gonna make it
>make it to the boss node
>final shot in the night battle, Kirishima suddenly cuts in and blasts boss to shit
>amagi finally drops as well
Thank you Kirishima, you were always my favourite Bongou sister.
What are the branching rules for the N node E-3 ? The wikiwiki says :
I want to go J-M-P-N-T but the Q node block me and i can't find infos or translate well enough.
How hard is E-3 compared to E-2.
I steamed through E-1 Normal, had some trouble with E-2 Normal, I'm wondering whether to keep E-3 on Normal.
God dammit Kashima
Can you just work one decent job without being a dick-crazed slut?
Like, would it be too much to ask?
I did. 313 baby, potato stronk
Do you hate freedom or something?
Event is easy with a Rei-Go fleet they said
Jokes aside,I think I'm gonna be better off pushing Re-Beats shit in with the south route. Do we know how we can avoid D node yet or is it still random as it seems people who are on last dance like me take the D node for granted either way?
So how feasible is E3 if I go hard with these current resources? I think I heard someone say that it was easier than E2 because they have more choice over fleet composition.
E2 is really pissing me off, get past 2 shitty boss nodes and two air strike nodes only to get a destroyer taiha on the 4th node, not only I'm paying for these sorties but also the support expeditions sortie. South route eventually gets there but all sanshiki carrying ships get taiha making night battle a bust.
guys i am in possession of a 3D printer and am sort of okay at 3D modelling, what kancolle stuff should i print
Who else would it be other than Taitei-chan?
Is this the best way to farm Okinami?
Rei-go fleet is cheap but I don't like the retreat rate.
>two boss nodes
>two air nodes
That's a terrible composition for sure.
You don't need support for E2.
This worked flawlessly except for 1 run where a PT boat survived and gave Ashigara a new asshole. You can even shoot down all the planes and disable the boss sometimes with this.
I'm in the same boat as you and yes, E-3 TP seems like the best post clear farming for Okinami.
I was running E-2 for a couple dozen runs with support just to guarantee S ranks and got tired of sparkling. At least with E-3, I don't have to bother sparkling anything and my rate of S ranks is a lot higher.
Also, for what it's worth the air nodes are fucking trivial. Have some fighters or a single AACI ship.
P.S. There's only one 'Boss node' on E2, and it's the final one.
Wo is the only difficult thing about south route you fucking pussy.
>he doesn't indulge himself in nico nico subculture
Don't be a pleb.
From your lists here's what I've got:
>Ayanami Kai Ni
>Yuudachi Kai Ni
>multiple 10cm + AAFD
I meant sub nodes
>you fucking pussy
>being mad at the shitty dice roll is being a pussy
This is what I've got. I could roll with battleships but its a fucking waste since the boss never gets to red.
Unfortunatley the last dance takes longer in some cases
Listen up, you prissy little fag bitch. You either run north route with Rei-gou composition or you run the south route with a moderately heavy fleet. Both are strong enough to kill the boss, it isn't hard.
As a newfag you should have tried harder to level a balanced fleet. There's no such thing as RNG. Every stat counts, every level counts.
So basically it's just enjoying the last time you deplete any of the bosses health bar and proceed to kill them for the final bit of their health bar?
Last Dance is the part of the map when you can clear it and move on, but that one fucking ship in the first node keeps critting the same ship to red every god damn fucking run.
I am so fucking mad with E3, holy fuck.
Not either of the anons you replied to but you really asked for it.
If your fleet is inadequate (and yours currently is) it is folly to level only girls you like. Only when your fleet has reached a certain strength then would it be safe level only girls you like.
Should I clear E-3 before doing extensive farming on E-2/E-3 in case I run out of buckets?
I've got 296 left, though I've been going Medium so far and am now seeing people saying that Medium is the stupid difficulty to do so I may just do E-3 on Easy to make it remotely easier for me.
Kinda, but you're missing the cultural significance of why the nips call it "last dance'.
Apparently, the movie "Save the Last Dance" is hugely popular in Japan, and there's a line from it that got translated into Japanese a bit funky as something to do with boats. The nips took it and applied it to KanColle and that's where it comes from.
>ᴸᶦˢᵗᵉᶰ ʰᵉʳᵉ, ʸᵒᵘ ᶫᶦᵗᵗᶫᵉ ˢʰᶦᵗ﹗
But I'm not. I agree with that other Anon's estimate a while back; I only spent about 30k clearing the event.
There are only 3 maps and you only have to sortie heavy ships in E3. >>14754955 is a little low on buckets, but he has 2 weeks left so I'm sure he'll be fine as long as he's doing expeditions/easy dailies.
My ships are mostly unremodelled and unmodernized so I figured I should play it safe until I have a lot more variety and stronger K2's.
Aside from this, it seems basically everything aside from Libeccio drops on Easy, but you get to Medals for clearing Normal so I'll probably do Normal regardless.
>My ships are mostly... unmodernized
Learn from your mistakes and be better prepared for next time. FP, TP and armour should always be at max. Unfortunately you missed out on >>14754669 from E1 Hard, which I imagine would have helped you out with the event.
Fleet and equips? Have you considered running route support?
Read in the previous thread that Graf's drop rate is 0.5%.
Is this the same as last event? Seems pretty harsh for a carrier that isn't all that good, and that's being nice. Comparatively, Amagi is 3,69% chance.
I must be missing something. And I have been using support for both.
Isokaze's so fucking fappable, I hope the next season of the anime can include these three (fuck Tanikaze) but I honestly doubt they'd be able to catch their respective 'charms' well enough.
Upgrade your guns to at least 1 star/4 star.
Move Maya to the 5th slot
Replace Musashi's 41cm with a 46cm
Move Tenzan to Kaga's 1st slot (you should only need around 214 AS to get superiorty at the boss node)
Replace Bisko's AP shell with a searchlight.
That double Ta fleet composition on either line or double line at E2 node G is a load of bullshit. Both can miss their shots only to have one of the Tsus to taiha someone. I'd take Wo Kai composition since at least they're in ring formation. God I've had more Tsus critting someone than those two Ta ever hitting.
That gold sub at the first node can even crit someone sparkled even in echelon and on a hankousen too
I only have Yodo so.
Either way, South is a bit like 2-5 and like I said, I never have trouble with the Tas. The Tsus are the fucking cancer on node G. It becomes easier if you get the Wo Kai formation since she rarely ever crits someone. The Tsus though can at line ahead and double line and can evade shots like crazy
>half of this thread will use this exact fleet
We need more good ships
I was actually on the bad luck side, struggling for the last kill and still used less than what he had.
Then shut the fuck up stop complaining. You're deliberately crippling yourself. You had plenty of time to level the ships who are actually useful for the event.
This is why I like statfags better.
Right, when my fleet can dodge and crit Tas like no problem but Tsus can hit them harder and more accurately than any Ta can dream of. Definitely not RNG's fault but the a bunch of level 80, fully modernized and even sparkled power house ships.
I won't because I already cleared it.
I like ABKM before it was cool but now I would be accused as a bandwagoner
You dont need the extra CI until the final kill.
I have to level someone up before I even try.
Im still quite new here but question how do you even get a wedding ring?
Not even if you paid me.
Started using it and it does help a bit by taking out the trash so my fleet can take out priority targets. Still can't understand that after 2 perfect runs, my fleet started fucking up by eating all Tsu shots, or even getting Taiha'd by that gold sub.
You don't actually -need- it for final kill either.
I'm tempted to step down to medium and deal with the a life of no meme medals, I can't fucking deal with this.
My favourite DD is always in the support fleet.
But I did simply feed Maruyus to my favorite DD.
hey /jp/ is this fleet good enough for E3 Hard? How much air power do I need, what ship do I need? It seems shoukaku and zuikaku in k2k mode is too shit for this map. Can I somehow use the IOWA gun for an advantage?
Do you like glasses?
According to the wiki having 3DD/2CA/1CAV should make me start on north route on E2, but I started on the south with this fleet composition.
How can you have ships at that level and not know how to figure out AS requirements or what ships you should bring?
The resources in the OP have all your answers, except for the gun one. The answer to that one is don't bother with it.
>mfw my Shigure had searchlight, flare, and skilled lookouts bonuses, was at Chuuha, and still failed to cut-in
Only 21 S ranks on E3 easy S. I farmed her for the entirety of last event and didn't get her. This is almost anticlimactic.
I've already spent 300 buckets 40k fuel 30k steel and ammo just doing last dance. Is there something wrong with my set up since anyone who does a CI on CA hime just do double digits but when BB hime gets hit its 400-500 crit even DA from KTKM is double digit. I know BB hime has less armour but I still can't believe how its all scratches everytime.
Well, I mean, I don't think it's possible to actually get AS with 1 ship
Do you just say fuck it and go full yolo with bombers? I don't think I've ever encountered this kind of situation
If it weren't for Ooi choking on an already taiha'd Dyson by Bisko it would have been S.
Best Kongou. This is an indisputabilidade fact.
You need 3 torps to give her comparable damage to a Yukikaze torp CI.
I'd rather have give her DA to give her a better chance of damaging something during day time, than risk everything on a full CI fleet.
>using bongous and myouchokes
Come on. Go big or go home. Considering you already used up more than 40k fuel already, going cheap isn't helping.
You can replace Teruduki with the another cut-in ship of your choice.
>not using the rei-go fleet in the rei-go event
Into the last dance..no tricks, no gimmicks, no retreats, always a clean hit, my fleet is just amazing.
I was hoping for ABKM to kill the angry DDs for the opening torpedo can just minisub be enough to kill them?
My hotels are only lv 60 and my kongous deal more damage than Nagatos and Hotels unexpectedly since they can slam 3 digit sometimes on just a single attack on BB hime. I tried with 3 CLTs but they just scratch CA hime
For E-3, do we just clear the TP Guage and then clear the Boss and then farming is just "set up your TP Guage fleet again" or "Set up your Boss fight fleet again"?
And should I just go with the recommended Prinz farming fleet straight off the bat for my first time touching E-3?
>My hotels are only lv 60 and my kongous deal more damage than Nagatos and Hotels unexpectedly since they can slam 3 digit sometimes on just a single attack on BB hime
How come you are still stuck then?
Let me tell you the reason why you go big.
Hotels and big7 at chuuha can do the same damage as a full HP monkeys.
Well I guess if we're going big, we don't need yasen gear anyway.
2 guns + 2 torps puts Bisko in cap territory. If you have someone else that can hold the yasen equipment, this would be a pretty good setup.
>brute forcing it when DJ Ashigara is the perfect candidate to destroy that hipster nerd's glasses and headphones
Since I started farming for Okinami, I have not been to yasen even once to get S rank.
Why are you missing the very flagship of this event? Especially when she's now the best expedition DD.
Less nodes to go through. Like I said, only node G will give you problems
Anyone who has the biggest plane capacity. Your best torpedo bomber on the biggest slot, then your best chevron fighters for the rest.
>implying Kasumin and friends are shit
Why so shit taste?
>There exists a plan to increase the variety of overseas ships in term of nationality and ship type.
Oversea ships is one thing when it comes to the typical warship, but more oversea ship types? What exactly did the navies of the world have that were unique in comparison to the IJN? The USN had one or two DD/Carrier hybrids, and the French had a Cruiser/Submarine hybrid. But there really isn't anything else I can think of.
ABSOLUTELY FUCKING BASED
1 try was all it took. You saved my sanity anon, thank you.
>But I only have 100 slots
Try to come up with a real excuse, we've all heard that one before.
Don't tell me you're still using 2 repair docks.
I spent 4000yen(+around 2000yen of from summer promotion and TGS) for 2.5 years and I bought it when yen was at its lowest.
I bought 50space and 2rings. You don't need to buy anything else when you have 3k buckets.
There were a few Fletcher class DDs that had built in catapults. They were pretty much how you would expect them to be, not really tactically useful. They might offer something different if they are implemented in the game though.
Buy more slots.
I maxed out my slots in my first month of playing. Not everyone is a poorfag like you.
About to start E-3 for the first time, give it to me straight guys, how shit is this fleet for the TECF half of E-3?
I'm very disappointed in you.
