-Operation Rei-Go Winter event has started which has 2 main +1 EO maps.
-New shipgirls are Okinami, Hatsuzuki, and Zara.
-Equipment for the event are the 203mm/53 Twin Gun Mount and the Ro.43 Reconnaissance Seaplane.
-For those who don't have Graf Zeppelin, Mizuho, Akitsushima, and Amagi, they reappear in the event.
-Valentine's Day season has started with Kinugasa, Harusame, Uzuki, and Yayoi CGs with returning sprites.
-According to KanColle Style published in Jan 2016, they're preparing for a bit new things for the second half of this year.
-The USN shipgirl will be implemented in the PS Vita's edition before her planned implementation in the browser game.
-There are plans to implement land-based aircraft and their famed pilots for the player side.
-There exists a plan to increase the variety of overseas ships in term of nationality and ship type.
-Iowa-class implementation to start sometime after Spring.
-Either Satsuki or Nagatsuki will get her kai 2 sometime this February.
-KanColle Arcade has been delayed to Spring.
-KanColle is still planned to add Android support in Winter.
Am I the only one who got quite disappointed by Hatsuzuki here?
I was hyped with the gloves and the expected pantyhouse, but her dead fish expression, her messy furry hair, the bland personality and the awfully deep voice makes her anything but cute, especially compared to her sisters.
>tfw no rei go ships
How to do this map fampais?
As it currently stands, I don't even have enough space to get all of them, so some ships are either not gonna be gotten or I'll have to Modernize a bit.
I'm praying that I eventually fucking get a Green T cause thats the only fucking way I'm ever gonna clear it. I just want my damn freedom fairy. I'll gladly do the rest of the event on easy since I dont give a shit about the other rewards
Glad I decided to try a composition and night battle.
I haven't seen her drop yet but assuming you mean wikia or the other english wiki then I would trust Poi more
Map is easily farmable on easy so I don't mind running it for a few hours plus I can let some new destroyers leech exp in main fleet at the same time
Let me tell you about the time I've had a Green T.
Two crits got her to 1HP on the end of the first shelling phase, on the second one, EVERYONE missed, tried night battle, the same result.
So is there any reason for me not to lock E1 and E2 on easy?
Is there anything I would be missing out on? Seems like almost everything drops on all difficulties this event.
Kashima is the only 4 slot I've got left, but sadly I'm out of SONAR's.
Rright now my choices are, attempt to craft ASW and get a T93 SONAR or level Kyioshimo to level 30 and get a T3 SONAR.
Just take out one of the type 3 DCs from one of your other ships. If you can't outfit all of your ships then just give one of your ship the best loadout you can to overcome the armor roll differences.
Finally, Kagerou collection complete.
Please share compo.
You can find ha-chan over at E1N!
For those who are playing on normal...
>not even silver background
Official worst gumo right?
Escort doesn't matter because boss support and even your 3DD can one shot PT boat and stuff just fine. Having only 1 sanshiki user is a major death flag because the moment she is chuuha or taiha, you simply cannot sink the boss.
CLT is absolutely unecessary and even a liability in E2.
The use a second CA instead of a useless CLT that won't do shit against the boss.
Thank god. It felt weird to not have all gumos
I'm that TTK who has returned after a year long break. I have listened and watched in streams about how powerful can trained squadrons be and I was thinking that maybe I shoud try a Carrier combined fleet now that I've finally unlocked the last part of E-3. The problem is that this last year I have missed a lot of stuff like those new shiny plane squadrons and I've yet to do that event chain for the prototype catapults so no cranes Kai Ni.
This is what I've got now. I know I'll need to train the squads but that shouldn't be a problem since I've got enough resources (?)
So, should I give a try to Carrier combined fleet or stick to old Battleship combined fleet? Any suggestions on how to improve my planes with what I've got?
>So, should I give a try to Carrier combined fleet
If you think CV Hime + 2 Wo Kai with turbo takoyaki are easier than BB Hime, go ahead. You can see how it goes for few runs, CTF might be somewhat usable for chipping.
Obviously choose Dragons, Kaga and Taihou. Before you sortie, craft more good planes, you only have six usable bombers atm. Get them to chevrons as well. Dive bombers suck unfortunately.
Why? Why was I able to clear half of the gauge without problem and now I'm crapping out more taihas than the Lannisters are crapping out gold?
Heres my garbage E1H fleet. I've been trying for hours now to build more sonars but I've got nothing. I can get final form sub hime down to around 50hp usually so I'm just hoping green T will pop eventually
If you have enough resources just go all hard, if not just do E1 hard for the burger gun and everything else on easy, or medium if you're really desperate for a few screws/medals.
I was lazy stockpiling and definitely don't have enough resources to farm and bang my head against E3 on hard and without the memedal or good rewards hard is just not worth it.
Yeah but if I take the second CA the chances of even making it to boss is hard enough since my CL and DD's get chuuha'd going through the Air field nodes.
I guess i'll just keep going and hope my RNG is on my side with 2CA
>the red haired one
This one? I would have thought it's old rose or something.
Just enough, apparently, with two planes each. It'd probably be better with Tone-class.
Does E2 boss worth anything worth a shit outside of Amagi? Now that I've got her I'm thinking it's better to just turn back at the pre-boss node where Akizuki and Amatsukaze drop instead of having to use buckets at the boss.
Sorry about the delay, I got my T3's and managed to kill the boss shortly after in doukousen so I just went to bed. No, I always stopped at node I because I never had a run where AV hime didn't taiha at least one of my ships. I had thought to try continuing to the air raid nodes in case that was related to the debuff, but never got the chance because of that. I'm also curious if a debuff mechanic exists because it's kind of suspicious that the outer path would exist at all, much less have routing requirements for it, so maybe the air raid nodes (H and C) are related.
Eight should be enough, so two more. Egusa should go to support fleet, carriers easily achieve damage cap and their strength lies in chevron overcrits, not standard damage.
scarp value x10 is the best recipe with carrier flagship
Alright, likely my fault then but I did not mention going to the Henderson node after the Seaport kill. It might be worth to loop around and try considering all you seem to need to do is survive the Henderson nodes to get an S rank. Though I did at this point people just brute forced the last kill on Sub Hime.
I just want to finish this map.
Well, that was 10k bauxite that flew through the window to get 2 Ryuusei Kai.
Reading through the wiki it looks that the fastest way for me to do squad training would be filling 6 CVs with planes and send then to 2-3. Any recomendation?
Do I need to get chevrons too for the planes used in support expeditions?
And talking about expeditions, did they fix the aerial support expedition or does it continue to be shit?
They had the better ASW stats then my cruisers (and I have no 4 slot ones, I just got ooyodo this event). I also didn't plan well for the event.
let my shittiness at the game inspire other players.
This is my first event, and I already feel like I've made a huge mistake that will haunt me for months to come.
E-1 was pretty easy, and I figured I could do it on hard. But I never knew I couldn't change difficulty after clear.
Go ahead, laugh at me, I deserve it.
If SK2 will give you AS/AS+, use those. I don't even use normal Reppuu anymore but that's because I have two 601 and Iwamoto while T21 Skilled goes to small slot for mix of evasion and accuracy. You already have three great Reppuu so maybe try training some SK2, every placebo can help.
I sure wish i would be back to only burning buckets.
I probably should've been clearer. I mean I had no trouble clearing it on Easy so I figured I'd progress up Medium and Hard, but that's not how it works.
No burger gun for me.
i keep getting sub ho to within 15hp. I have to pop a green tea sooner or later
Last they said, it was coming along according to schedule. And it's supposed to release in winter. So sometime in the next month you'll either be playing it or hearing about delays.
It is. Enjoy the opening torpedo.
Won't your girls get some hidden stat decreases anyway with the burger guns? I was under impression there's something like that in place for the pasta guns if they aren't on the pasta BB's.
Holy shit this event is hard. Even on easy my ships are red all the fucking time. I am not even sure I will make it through all 3 maps on easy at this point.
Do I NEED Kasumi to go through the northeast route or is there a way to go without Kasumi? I don't really have Kasumi but I'm willing to craft or farm Kasumi just for it.
I'm fucked for E-2 if I don't have all Rei-Go ships, am I?
Ooi hit the boss for 266 and then choked the 2nd hit, stop getting my hopes up.
You don't even need the Rei-Go ships for easy E-2 route. I did the map with Ooyodo, Fubuki K2 Akizuki, Ayanami K2, Kinugasa K2 and Tone K2 and went easy route 100% of the times.
This is a really nice way to end the final dance in E-2.
Only Graf left.
You're not forced to use the best ships as long as you have the patience and time to grind out hard maps with the ones that you like. This could be easy or hard depending on what it is you're trying to do, but there's an Anon here who clears final event maps on hard with some ships that are generally accepted to be bad. That sometimes requires luck modernizing them with Maruyu, or it just requires a ton of resources to throw at a map, but it can be done.
Your example is a bit different, though, Maya has the best anti-air cut-in in the game and a lot of people use her just for that. It wouldn't be worth using Atago in that role, really. But if you were just using Maya for regular shelling you could easily use Atago instead.
Are you interested in buying slots? 100 is too limited if you are even remotely serious.
And yes, you should level up the ones you like the most.
But, you should also keep in mind that certain ships are required for having an easier time in events and even in normal maps, plus once remodeled they may come with gear that you can't get anywhere else.
Conclusion: give love to whoever you like, but don't neglect others.
>Don't neglect others.
Well, to be honest I find quite annoying when Tanaka throws at me a Kai Ni I definetly don't like, eg Kasumi, and makes me need her. I can't miss a DD that can equip command facility.
I didn't prepare for the event so time to abandon all hard and farm Prinz on easy modo
How do I stop them from choking the fucking first node?
I wish I was choked at first node instead of shit like this. Perfect run, only one dysons remains from meatshield when yasen starts and 2 failed cut-ins after Kako removes dyson from premises. Hiei slammed her for 174 with gun cut-in in the end, some consolation prize it is. If only at least one cut-in proced this bitch would be so fucking dead.
Fuck me, I just got a dupe Okinami. What should I do with her?
>using fucking Hiei to begin with
>implying gun CI can kill shit
I hope you aren't the guy who put AP shell in her 4th slot because the AP post-cap modifier doesn't apply at night.
This is a bit of an unusual question but I hope you bear with me.
I don't have a credit card and I don't trust a VPN to use paypal but I really want to buy more ship slots, repair slots and rings.
What is a free (no yearly fee) credit card they accept on DMM? I am a full blown NEET and I have no experience with credit cards. Is it a common thing that the less popular credit cards are rejected in online shops like that?
I find that a prepaid "credit" card works wonders here. It works like a credit card except it's prepaid. Where I'm from I have access to at least 2 of those.
I think the same card you use to access your bank account can be used here as well.
>using fucking Hiei to begin with
You're playing the game wrong too.
>implying gun CI can kill shit
Hiei already killed her once during gauge shaving and would've killed here again if nobody forgot to cut-in. Hit at damage cap is stronk.
>I hope you aren't the guy who put AP shell in her 4th slot because the AP post-cap modifier doesn't apply at night.
That was the original idea, now she just has giga searchlight.
At least I got Asagumo out of it. Pale consolation though.
>You're playing the game wrong too.
I'm using an amount of resources and buckets that you can only ever dream of using. It's hardly "wrong".
>Hiei already killed her once during gauge shaving and would've killed here again if nobody forgot to cut-in.
I keep forgetting that this boss doesn't have 333 armour, so I'll give you that. Still, don't expect it to work against enemies with armour better than CA hime's.
>expects to use Hiei as a viable damage dealer at night
Yeah, I don't think you even know what you're doing.
It's great when your girls don't choke.
Now I only need Okinami.
Fuck yes, so glad I didn't bother trying to farm her from AV bitch last event.
That's totally unrelated to my question.
Seem you can't follow a conversation nor tell the difference between two posters. Are you legally retarded or have other kind of handicap, like Asperger's syndrome or something.
And how are the resource related to your Beaver/60 luck KTMK getting taiha or not doing the CI.
Also, people recommend to hoard resources to deal with the streaks of bad luck farming drops. Player ''skill´´ is completely irrelevant.
Also, why are you so defensive in an anonymous imageboard?
At least now we know you have issues.
Send any kinds of six ships, flagship must be above level 6, to the third event expedition with the expedition quest active. It's a 15 minute thing with an easter egg when the fleet returns.
Once you turn in the quest you'll receive a goodie and unlock E-3.
Because energetic tomboys are top-tier.
>And how are the resource related to your Beaver/60 luck KTMK getting taiha or not doing the CI.
My optimisation is just that good. I have full confidence in it.
>Also, people recommend to hoard resources to deal with the streaks of bad luck farming drops. Player ''skill´´ is completely irrelevant.
I can't argue with farming drops, I guess. Though that has taken a backseat for the most part because I can feel that my drop luck flow is at its weakest at the moment.
>says I wasn't following your conversation when I was
>I'm the defensive one
My wives didn't cut-in but it's alright.
Zara is super cute.
Now, to farm Okinami and dupes.
I'm running out of space, I didn't even want her but now I'm tempted to keep her.
>after 5 attempts finally get to E-2 Boss without some shittyass DD getting taiha'd
>everyone attack transports
>they can't even sink them
>meanwhile boss taihas with every attack
>they finally spend all their attacks on sinking those two transports
I just wanna scrap everyone involved.
>My optimisation is just that good. I have full confidence in it.
Confidence doesn't affect the RNG. The only external factor is the desire sensor.
>I can't argue with farming drops, I guess
At least looks you have a functioning brain.
>I wasn't following your conversation when I was
Try to follow the backlinks, you are talking with a minimum of two different guys.
A different set of girls did a somewhat decent progress oh the boss HP bar right after I posted that.
Lost connection on the award screen :) It's not the first time today either :^)
WE DID IT LADS
I've been waiting years for this.
And done, can't believe this is over. Based Kashima delivered the final nail on the Submarine Hime's coffin. Now I can focus on clearing the rest of the event, shame I'm gonna have to eventually come back to farm the mexican sub. /blog
Thank you for the recipe, saved my life, I managed to craft 2 T3 SONARs
10/30/10/31 for Type 3 Depth Charges
10/10/10/20 for T3 SONAR
It's what I've done >>14748652, use as many 4 slot CL/CT's you've got at your disposal, don't give in to the temptation of reverting to a lower difficulty. Also keep in mind you don't have to fully equip your girls with 100% high-end ASW gear, I mixed T3 Depth Charges with T93 SONAR. Good luck TTK.
Korrection bullshit I'll never field and none of the ships I want. I only need Uzuki to finish off that quest and maybe Isokaze to finish off the semen demon DesDiv.
Hey /jp/, I'm somewhat new and I have a dumb question.
I keep reading here and there "don't put carriers/battleships at the bottom", but searching the wiki on Fleet Organization, all I found that could be relevant is that the 2nd shelling phase proceeds straight from top to bottom, is that the only reason? Or is there also a tendency for ships at the bottom to be shot at more often, anything of the sort?
>the 2nd shelling phase proceeds straight from top to bottom
And night battle. Which carriers are totally useless during, including Zepp, meaning you're effectively giving the enemy a free attack. And if they're too heavily damaged to launch planes, you get the same effect during the day.
>Or is there also a tendency for ships at the bottom to be shot at more often, anything of the sort?
I still remember the curse of the 5th slot
The final E-3 kill is eluding me. Hell, I stopped making it to the boss.
It's just an old paranoia of the first year of this game. I'ts amazing how well documented this game has become compared to those times were speculations like that were taken seriously. But as they say, every placebo counts.
I have nothing to complain about thus far.
My last true wish is Graf.
Learning the ins and outs of this game was fucking rough, every community seemed to have their own folktales about this that and the other.
I wonder if the game would've ended up being this popular if the devs were more open about mechanics and gave us actual numbers instead of either not giving a fuck or actually wanting us to rely on the chinese to figure it out for us with their industrial strength autism.
>still no senkan
desire sensor please
>Flagship position is useful for protecting your weakest ship, but I'd never advising giving it to a carrier.
False. Reppuu mule carrier with FCF is a legit setup; in fact it's one of the most important suijou setups. Also when grinding, CVs in general are best in flagship spot before Kai, if she's the only non-Kai non-modernised ship in the fleet.
Rest looks legit though.
Just realized her VA is Megumi Nakajima, coming back after I-58, Kinugasa, etc.
Holy shit, she's actually gotten much better, and can do a different voice now
No, truTTK is clearing on hard and farming on hard. Farming on easy is for pussies. It obviously can't compare to clearing easy in kusoness but farming on hard is definitely more admirable. It also shows respect for older days when you couldn't change difficulty.
Not to mention I spent several days of Summer E3 without Mizuho or any useful dupe but once I cleared the event on hard, I got all three drops.
Nah, I thing it would have been as popular as it is nowadays nevertheless: Look at Touhou.
What drove Kancolle to be popular imo were the small incentive some e-celebs in Japan gave it. The recent rise of the right wing in Japam, lots of otakus being extreme right wing faggots and the recent rise of nationanism in Japan did the rest.
Anon, look at him and tell me again why should this faggot be my emperor.
>even considering Saiun
Murata on the biggest slot. CA for standard double attack.
Not really. CV Hime needs 194 air power to get AS and you can lose quite a bit on Henderson node.
Would have been a lot easier if it wasn't for the pre-boss nodes being the main problem.
Free for now I guess, unless Prinz drops and it's possible to farm for extra radars.
>extreme right wing
I can't argue with that, you are exactly right.
I never said all otakus and military enthusiasts are extreme right wing from an ideological point of view.
What I do believe is that Kancolle has atracted a big numbers of these kind of people in Japan.
I'm tempted to do everything on hard, but at the same time I don't care about the meme medal, I just care about the girls drop rates and so forth.
Debating whether or not E2 is worth doing on Hard.
Spoken like a true WW2 Japanese TTK.
On the other hand, a smart TTK uses every resource available to them to successfully complete the same objectives more efficiently. Which is why Japan lost the war.
Then, if you wish I'll correct myself.
Not all otakus in japan are extreme right wing. In fact, the majority of then are pretty apolitical.
In relation to Kancolle though, the nationalistic and right wing otaku were the main consumers of the game in its beginnings.
>I never said all otakus and military enthusiasts are extreme right wing from an ideological point of view.
Read what you posted again lad.
And yet you're playing Japanese game instead of CoD/Battlefield/some other shooter.
Try it, TTK. Don't be afraid. If you believe in your girls, you will get what you want. And even if you don't, you will prepare better next time and obtain whatever you wish, believing in your girls.
You can't stop the meme train.
Yeah, last dance is kind of a bitch; the installation was the only one left alive at the end of the day and 332 HP at that. I thought I had it in the bag, but apparently not.
It didn't slip this time.
Drop was Harusame. Again.
Bisko has 135 yfp, Kiso has 174 yfp.
However Bisko can equip much better guns, resulting in similar power. AP Shell giving additional bonus elevates her above Kiso. Bisko is far more useful in day battle thanks to APCI. Bisko can carry your night scout. Bisko is much more durable, with 96 HP and 95 armor. Kiso's torp isn't that valuable because it's weak and the more torps you have, the less additional one adds due to higher chance of them hitting the same destroyer. Abu is often set up for TCI in which case her opening topedo is stronger than Kiso's.
>the nationalistic and right wing otaku were the main consumers of the game in its beginnings
And I go back to you not knowing your shit.
The reason KanColle was a major hit was that it drew in both the military crowd and the moe crowd into the fold, as well as some of us bandwagoners such as ourselves, who were hitherto uninterested in browser games.
While you're not wrong that folks like Hirano jumpstarted the fanbase, the fact that the game was generally F2P also supported and accelerated this popularity.
Saying that the above groups are "nationalistic and right wing otaku" (which you've contradict yourself that they're not), is overly generalized to the point of being completely off the mark.
If you want to say Japan's a nationalist hellhole on the verge of militant fascism, just say it. Makes it easier for me to tell you to fuck off to /pol/.
>it drew in both the military crowd and the moe crowd into the fold
Which ideology most of these were adscribed to? You won't tell me now they are pacifist dude who donate to greenpeace or international amnesty.
>which you've contradict yourself that they're not
Since the beginning I said they were a part, not the whole of then
>If you want to say Japan's a nationalist hellhole on the verge of militant fascism
If it were Shinzo Abe wouldn't be having so much problems at the parlament.
>which you contradict yourself by claiming that the main consumer group consists of
You answered your own question. Could you at least keep track of your own thoughts so I don't have to do it for you?
>Since the beginning I said they were a part, not the whole of then
So what you're saying is that the 1.5~2.5 million KanColle users, who you claim are the main consumers, are not the "apolitical" bunch of otakus, but ultra-nationalists. Now repeat that statement in your head one more time. You're overgeneralizing to the point of stupidity.
For fuck sake, if you're going to claim something, present it in a way that doesn't undermine the god damn core argument. Also, though unrelated, get a whateverfucklanguage-to-English dictionary or press F7.
Are you living under a rock?
Her tapestry is literally sex
I checked the wiki and couldn't find it, apologies in advanced if it can be answered with it; I'd rather not comb through it word for word since I couldn't find it where I thought it would be.
CVLs for ASW + Saiun, do reds and blues both attack subs, fighters? Does saiun need to be a good slot to get green T on boss?
No planes attack subs on the opening airstrike. All planes ASW values count for shelling damage (but the effect is usually minimal, especially against red and yellow subs and hime). Slot size doesn't matter for Saiun green tea bonus.
With CVLs you can either use three chevron bombers (look at their ASW value) ore one chevron and two autogyro. Second setup gives more consistent damage but first has higher chance of crit. Same logic applies to seaplane bomber vs autogyro on BBV. CVL need a bomber to attack subs, BBV are fine with just autogyro.
To be honest, I would either throw Saiun to the trash where its place is and use fourth chevron bomber for delicious 50% boost to crit damage and better air strike. Or, use 4 slot cruiser with T3 ASW. Latter option is preferred for last Dance. CVL is better for farming. You can easily farm Hard difficulty with 100% success rate.
