Strange but could be an explanation. Maybe due to the fact she doesn't have deck for planes to come back she won't send them out without other "carrier" in the fleet? Would be kinda historically accurate.
I'll see if it works with Mizuho after Abukuma returns from expedition.
She was leader of my unsuccessful Graf raiding party. I feel kinda bad about it, I took her from level 1 to 75 over the course of like a week. I feel like I didn't get to really enjoy hanging out with her.
Drops after almost 780 sorties in 3-2A
Tfw the rarest ship is Miyuki
Is it a thing to leave PvP ships with their stock equipment?
Let's play the age old /tg/ tradition Stat my X.
I'll post some obscure thing that could potentially fit in the game along with data relevant to the stats in the game and data of its contemporaries currently in the game.
This is the French 380 mm/45 (15") Model 1936 mounted on the Richelieu and Alsace classes of battleships mounted in two groups of two guns per turret.
AP shell weight: 885kg/1,950lb
Muzzle velocity: 785mps/2,575fps
Max range at max gun elevation(35 degrees): 41,700m/45,600 yards
AP shell penetration: 748mm/29.43" at 0 range, 250mm/9.8" at 38,000m/41,560 yards
Compare this to the 38 cm/52 (14.96") SK C/34 mounted on the Bismarck class
AP shell weight: 800kg/1,764lb
Max range at max gun elevation(30 degrees): 36,520m/39,589 yards
AP shell penetration: 742mm/29.21" at 0 range, 304mm/11.98" at 27.000m/29,528 yards
And the 381 mm/50 (15") Model 1939 mounted on the Littorio class
AP shell weight: 885kg/1950lb
Muzzle velocity: 850mps/2,789fps
Max range at max gun elevation(36 degrees): 42,800m/46,807 yards
AP shell penetration: 814mm/32,07" at 0 range, 380mm/14.93" at 28,000m/30,621 yards
For range comparisons sake, the max range of the Yamato class' 46cm gun was 42,030m/45,960 yards

When was the last time you turned off KanColle?
You can live without hitting the yasen cap while having 84 armor on CA sounds fun. I remember when AV Hime crit my married Prinz for 33 HP, not even chuuha. I was using a Quint though.
When is someone going to remake this game with kancolle-style anthropomorphizations of submarines?
You're still using screws. I bet you'd still not use the slider, claim 0 screw cost and bash your head against the wall with a 1% chance upgrade when you could use the slider for 10 screws. It should be about upgrading equipment, not collecting screws
Most I've ever had in over a year of playing except for buckets which are ~100 off.
Because you start failing at higher level upgrades and you don't need more than one or two of them anyway so you're wasting screws. You could be upgrading Bisko guns or something actually useful but you'll be spending around two weeks to max a torpedo with almost no use.
I once had almost 1400 buckets, then summer 2015 happened. This is the most I've had since. Fucking faggot AA hime.
One max, one +9, one +6. Two pasta at +9. +4 and +2 51cm
Four 20.3 (3) at +6, two max (2), two +4 (2)
I have one triple at +1 and plan to bring this one and other one to +4 during event or just after it, once I'm done with Akizuki guns.
Stop being so aggressive and thinking in extremes. Triples have their use (have you ever heard about subs?) and not everybody is swimming in screws. Don't jump on people when you don't even know their situation because you're only making a fool out of yourself.
>(have you ever heard about subs?)
Sub evasion is so poor you either give them double turbines or two maxed out torpedoes to try and sink everything before it can attack.
Use Ro with a damecon in 3rd slot if you're actually tanking a real map.
Fine. I'll stop. My original point wasn't even about triples, it was that saying 0 screw cost is stupid, and I say it because it makes some people do nothing but 12.7cm upgrades for months which is complete waste.
For triples. I actually stopped using mine on subs recently when I realized they just increased the chance of getting hit to red in one hit by enemies with ASW gear
Single points here and there make little difference.
26 points of evasion is worth talking about. 30 points of torpedo is worth talking about. 16 torpedo and a few points of evasion isn't worth it. Sub armor counts for nothing anyway.
The game isn't that flexible. If all equipment were equally viable there'd be a reason to put CL guns on them instead of 20.3(3) every time.
>If all equipment were equally viable
You know, when you pull strawmans, other side is less likely to reply seriously and prone to dismissing your words with offhand comments.
>and I say it because it makes some people do nothing but 12.7cm upgrades for months
I have never heard about such people. I'm pretty sure majority of anons here do "0 screws" upgrades when they can't afford upgrading Bisko guns or Quints every day.
As for 12.7cm guns, they are good early on when you drop Akashi early but don't have Akizuki, Pastas etc. Endgame isn't everything, I believe one should upgrade stuff in a way that he benefits from it since the start.
Sure feels nice to have a destroyer get dunked to 1hp on the first node of 1-5.
Feels better than having a high level CVL dunked to 1hp on the first node of 1-5.
I miss being <40 admiral level when you couldn't fucking attack.
>In October 1944 Hatsuzuki was part of the Northern Force commanded by Admiral Ozawa Jisaburo, in the Japanese attack on the Allied forces supporting the invasion of Leyte. On 25 October, in the Battle off Cape Engaño, she was sunk ENE of Cape Engaño (20°24′N 126°20′ECoordinates: 20°24′N 126°20′E) by US cruiser-destroyer group, while covering the rescue of survivors of the aircraft carriers Zuikaku and Zuihō by Wakatsuki and Kuwa.
I have a feeling AD Hime's armor was an error but the devs didn't fix it because it would require them shutting down the game during the event and nobody wants that. Why else would a DD be stronger than the currently strongest Abyss BB?
I'm feeling Ten-Go for spring event.
Speaking of events, it really irks me that the new wiki lists events and ranking rewards from oldest to newest. Yes it makes sense from a chronological standpoint, but from an end-user standpoint it's inconvenient to scroll all the way down a long list to find the latest news/information and is certainly not sustainable if the list only gets longer and longer.
Why would you scrap such a nice girl?
I like how there are people in other KanColle groups I'm in who absolutely hate DDs with a vengeance as weak and useless, whine any time DDs are (surprise surprise) required for routing, and complain and cry and have actual anger spasms when their (unsurprisingly underlevelled) DDs get blasted to kingdom come.
>getting upset over video games
Why would you even give people like that a moment of your time?
Do you enjoy collecting their salt, or is this some kind of self flagellation on your part?
On comps with 4 or more CVs I just throw reason to the wind and send 4 BB kitted out for maximum fuck, and fill the remaining slots with DDs or whichever else I'm leveling.
People who idle with CV fleets are cruel and unkind.
Well, that is probably not going to happen. One or two foreigners with four IJN ships as usual. It's not like they didn't try giving gajin ships some love either, but the Italians and Zepp got a lukewarm response from the fans.
But I love Roma!
You don't need to level your BBs in pvp either but you're usually fucked without them. If you're going to accept air denial you have to send overwhelming force otherwise even some Ise-class nobody can wreck you.
Is there anything I'm lacking in that I should improve in the week I have before event?
I'm glad I started the game after shadowing the /jp/ thread for a few months to pick up best practices. Among other things, focusing on levelling a diverse fleet of DDs early was one of the most useful things I did and it carried me a long way.
Basically no. With love you can conquer anything. Just keep leveling your Shigure.
You will never have enough high level DD due to historical fleet composition.
How can you say you love her if you haven't maxed her luck?
1 more set to be better than Prinz, 4 more sets and 3 leftover for max, but it's still a long road ahead with my Maruyu luck.
But there are so many other DDs to level and only so many hours in the days.
I ring my Shigure, what's next? Let's ring all the Kagerous and continue leveling Shigure when I can. Then they introduce Ducky. She's cute; let's ring her, too. All the while more Kagerous keep sprouting up. Then another duck. I finally ring all Kagerous and Hagi and Arashi come along. I'm just about ready to ring Teru and there's another one coming down the pipe. It never ends.
Wow, these Rei-go records are super interesting.
>he doesn't want a harem
It can be anyone you want, but instead you arbitrarily restrict yourself.
It's okay, it's just a Ring of Power.
19 for the best class in their halls of stone, or something.
That's just the log of the 5th fleet for that month.
There's other stuff like maps and formations, but I didn't feel like posting them.
Really? Is there a more recent version of this?
I just finished watching the KanColle anime, and I honestly have to say, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Once you disregard a lot of the stupid crap like how they skate across water, or how they depict the actual gameplay pretty much completely wrong for the most part, it was genuinely fun to watch.
Another great thing about it was that it's now given me some sight for ships I don't have yet, or ships I do have but don't care for, that I'm now interested in.
If everyone says the various manga are way better than this, then I guess I've got a fair bit to look forward to.
The stupid crap that you mentioned isn't the reason nearly everyone hates the anime.
The tone and story were completely out of sync.
The character's personality and traits clashed with canon depictions in the game.
Horrible animation quality, and poor CGI.
Terrible battle scenes.
Fubuki is the typical screw up MC, who is praised by heaven itself for no reason besides being the Admiral's waifu.
That wedding scene.
Are just some of the reasons why people wish that anime would disappear.
Animu made me like Bucky for example, but main problem for me is them ltierally saying straight out of the game lines every single time, why not make them say new shit at least? No ttk, wedding scene and lesbo Nagato was too much, otherwise it was "fine".
Being a screwup by itself isn't a problem because she can grow from it. She is admired mostly because she is a hard worker. Everything else is just how your typical anime friendships pan out. The only one whose opinion might have been seriously affected by the Admiral's orders was Nagato.
Yeah I can agree with all those reasons making it shit.
It was mainly the dumb references to the game that I found most enjoyable, like Akagi eating a fuck ton, or Yamato barely able to do anything cos she's too expensive.
I don't know, I guess I eventually blocked out a lot of the stupid shit the show was doing and stopped noticing it.
>Enemy had easy kill ships, but then he swapped to BBs in just a second
Just kill me.jpge
Interesting, Katori's little sister Kashii sank near that area, as did Nokaze of the Minekaze class destroyers. Maybe it's a clue of which ship might get implemented? Maybe even who the Abyss boss might take after?
We know an Akizuki class is coming, an obligatory auxiliary and maybe 1 Matsu. The question is if there will be a foreign girl or just another DD. Kiyoshimo boss with PT escorts is a given though.
Is statfagging just modernizing, what?
Or is it using the "best ships" because I feel neither of those are too hard to do regardless unless you really don't give a shit and just want to be strong without putting any effort in.
Statsfagging is only caring about stats, e.g. only using the best ships in the class, not luckmodding your waifu above everyone else, or even only bothering to ring the objectively better ships statwise. Behaviors such as these often trigger waifufags and autists, leading to the term "statsfag".
So it's basically people being retarded because their fleet can't beat hard mode, alright.
Also, who should I work on Kai-2'ing after Kongou? I've already done Hiei, but I don't really care too much for Haruna or Kirishima. I'm leaning more towards Haruna though because IIRC she's stronger in some way.
>mfw I actually like ABUCUTE before it was cool and now I would be branded as a statsfag
Some of us just like to maximize our chances in this game, that's all. Just how far along the spectrum they are in is another story, though.
Haruna is actually the weakest Kongou, pick Kirishima.
>favoring Hiei over Haruna/Kirishima
how can one have such abysmal taste?
But that's because I find her voice to be very cute.
I liked her before Kai Ni. She was cute going about her bangs and all.
Now she's a little shithead with annoying attack lines, bitching about her name in kanji, and forcing herself in every event map.
I only Kai-ni'd Hiei first because she was the first Kongou I got, I got all the others relatively close around the same time as each other which is why I'm getting around to them now, jeez.
I guess I'll go with Kirishima next then, Haruna also has a level 80 remodel if I recall correctly.
Most people here only fap to stats here sadly.
Sounds a little extreme but you are half right, i would say valentines>k2>og.
I like that sprite the most, she loses her smile at k2, also the seasonals are better.
Honestly, people are allowed to fap to stats so long that's all they're fapping to. If the art is shit but you force yourself to say it's better than something that actually looks good, you're just retarded.
Also healthy, pantyhose and fully clothed.
I fear for her k2 because mikoto switched to full memewaist on all of his characters, that not!atago from one of his works looks disgusting, I wonder if Atago/takao were a "mistake" for him.
I'd rather put money towards having more fleet storage space.
I also have all construction bays unlocked. I got musashi on my third try, and a Taihou and Akitsumaru from looking for I-401.
>eating away resources like mad
2-5 is a cheap map to farm. You'll feel silly saying that after you did't get the drop you wanted from an event map after 200 runs running heavy combined fleet
It's a horrible timesink that's good for your resources and terrible for everything else. You're better off levelling ships that actually matter. I do it only if I'm not ranking and there are transport weeklies to do.
Resource gained from doing 2-3 71 times, ~16 hours of non-stop 5/21/38 expedition (non-sparked) and some dailies, with small amount of resources spent on PvP:
12617 / 4414 / 4016 / 2457
Not too bad I suppose.
This is how much I get with probably 1 hour of Orel per day at max
You are right, I forgot about that. I'll wait until its capped and try again.
That includes expeditions/dailies reward and minimal resource spent on random sorties right?
I can't believe someone could say KC3 looks good.
It is viable method.
There are two risks:
1) your high level flagship with AACI gets taiha'd by torps at preboss (very unlikely, I'd say it happens less than once a month and DEFINITELY less rare than catching taiha with normal fleet of six strong girls)
2) you sortie with taiha'd ships (you have control over this part), they get sunk by subs and you get routed to longer route (you can still go to short route with one DD sunk though - and you can still survive as shown there)
I recommend Akizuki/Teruzuki (strong AACI) or CL (more armor) flagship.
I'd like to use it to take advantage of the faster animation but the UI is too clunky on low res screen i.e most laptops and you can't preview battle result/drop like KC3, atleast with yuyuvn's KCV.
True, it takes a bit of space. I always disliked laptops and preferred my own computer so it isn't the problem with Full HD screen or two monitors.
Previewing is one of main reasons why I dislike KC3. There is a drop preview in KCV though, in the log viewer.
Is gakada's better than Yuubari's? I recall hearing negative things of Yuubari's.
Which KCV are you talking about that can do these faster animations and previewing battle drops? Also those sound pretty risky don't they?
Yeah, gakada is generally better though it isn't 100% clear. Don't remember what was Yuubari's advantage anymore.
I just use a generic cut-in (fire director + high-angle mount) and a damecon on the flagship, and only chuuha'd DDs at best. Never had to retreat since I started using this setup.
Previewing drops isn't risky at all because viewer is simply reading data that was sent to it by KanColle servers.
Not sure about maniacally moving your mouse to speed up carrier animation, I never do it.
I guess I'll look around if there are videos demonstrating the use of other KCVs.
Though ultimately, I'm way too used to Yuubari's one, I'll probably just stick to it even if some of its features are shit.
Differences aren't that big, getting used to new one is pretty easy, I switched forks multiple times. I think it would be the best to download them all and try yourself to see which one suits your needs the most.
Maybe. How does CE work then?
Sorry for the lame question, but what does the "slots" next to "build time" and "space" next to "equipment" mean in the wiki page of each ship? I don't see these two things mentioned elsewhere on the wiki (there's no "space" category in the equipment section for instance), maybe I'm looking at the wrong sections or I'm blind.
I am trying to farm the Kongou ships for the fourths fleet and I am also trying to farm the 50 transport ships for the weekly.
Is there a map where I can possibly farm both? That means no 2-2 and no 2-3. Anything on world 3 or 4?
So I would have to farm node M on 4-3 then? That is the only node with transports aside from that one lost ship on node K that has a 1/3 chance of spawning.
Well I guess I will try then. Let's see how it goes.
I'm currently sitting on 22776 / 44407 / 26053 / 26203 resources, and I'm doing Expeditions 3/20/38 so I can get Fuel and Steel, but this is fucking slow, I've gained maybe 2000-2500 fuel today, so by the time the event starts I'll be below 40000 which is probably not the best thing to do.
Any recommendations on what I should do, or should I just keep at this and hope I have enough by the event's start?
4 ships sparkled for 38 and 10 drums. 6 ships sparkled for ex5.
Getting steel is easy, don't do expedition for it, and looking at your resources you need fuel much much more than steel.
The main bottleneck is always the buckets, so first make sure you have enough of those. That being said, the event lasts two weeks. Even if you don't have enough resources at some point, you have plenty of time to replenish them.
I'm gonna go with what >>14703375 said instead, mainly because 17 requires more ships than 5 and I'd rather use as little fuel as I can.
I've gotten myself to a literally a bit over 200, hopefully I should be fine if easy is my main goal, but I really want to try Normal this time around.
When I start a sortie, does the game only take the moral values from when I start the sortie into account or does it update the moral value during the sortie?
So when a ship has 52 morale at the beginning of the sortie and then jumps to 53 after the first node, will she get the high morale buff?
Panic I guess, if you can't play you can't do anything.
Otherwise, do what most of us will (presumably) be doing, and don't participate in the event for the first week and keep grinding.
Let other people find out information about the event first so you can get an advantage when you finally get around to participating in it.
200 isn't that much, you'll have to wait out repairing some scratch.
Remember that when you're using support fleets you use much more fuel and ammo than steel. When you run light fleets, you don't lose much resources. With Kidou Butai steel bills aren't too high. Plus, whenever you find yourself in situation without steel you can just run double TE for two days plus some 3-2 and be back at cap.
I usually go off the logic that anything longer than 3 or 4 hours I should bucket, rather than bucketing everything.
That and I'm not really aiming for anything too high so I should hopefully not have to repair a crap ton after every run
And suddenly a cat.
Didn't ever have any problems since I started in november. What the hell?
Any guesses what the kai ni requirement will be?
99% lv65 unless they get ability to carry daihatsu which would boost them to 70/75.
Kai Ni for best Mutsuki when?
Thank you Lady for saving this run.
It started with three retreats yesterday but then four kills without interruptions, Hayasui is pretty nice, I will use her next month as well. Her second slot usually gets emptied though.
>86fp on Jintsuu
Don't tell me you gave her OTO.
Note that you may have to sacrifice your chevron plane
>or all her planes shot down before boss
Maybe if you're an idiot and don't get AS vs Nu.
New setups tend to give fantastic results on first try. I didn't use her much either but she seems good, I like the fact she doesn't get redirected to north in the middle of the sortie like CAV does. North at start isn't a big deal.
>Set as flagship, problem solved.
Flagship protection is minimal in line ahead.
It can happen, especially in the preboss Nu or even lose the last at boss.
>Maybe if you're an idiot and don't get AS vs Nu.
You know any fleet can still shoot down bombers randomly, don't you?
I've been using this comp since summer every week. The reason I don't use Hayasui is that she's as weak as Maruyu, meaning that anything can get her, and that hankousen and especially red T are dangerous for her. The node before the boss is a free pass for as long as the CVL doesn't get do a lucky crit on someone. If I'm using Hayasui it means tripling my chances to retreat on pre-boss since anything can get through her paper armor even in diamond formation. It's common for Mizuho to get 2~3 Zuiun shot down before the boss so it shouldn't be too uncommon for her to lose her second slot before the boss as well.
There's also the fact that Hayasui has very high resupply and repair cost, which pretty much defeats the purpose of running 3-5 south to save resources.
I've tried CAV as well but going north from B node is pretty frustrating, while this comp guarantees routing
It's guaranteed routing for the first 3 kills, then you only have to roll routing once for final kill. The odds of going north are low anyway so it's not a big deal. You can always just refresh if you go the wrong way.
Assuming it is possible for Hayasui to lose all planes from first slot before the boss (that's what you were saying at first), I'm pretty sure it's unlikely enough to get ignored when thinking about the preferred composition. In seven runs I had 5/6 or 6/6 planes after preboss.
You guys are in too much of a rush to clear it. Abukuma and the gang are more than enough, despite getting turned around a few times.
I already cleared it with ABKM and company this month, the sooner it's cleared the better, one thing less to worry about until the event is here.
So? You just have to make it once and you're good, and the odds of being diverted are still reasonably low enough to justify taking a comp with increased survivability against final form pre-boss nodes. Put another way, it's cheaper and quicker to refresh against a low chance of diversion than to get sent back against a higher chance of taiha which you'd have to repair.
Is there another guide like this but up to date? This one doesn't show screws.
I had streaks of four sorties going wrong way followed by taiha on B and another redirect.
Hayasui comp offers guaranteed routing with similar power and I don't mind putting her as flagship because she'll finally gain some levels.
In my experience 3-5 has never needed more than 12-15 sorties. I used 40 buckets like a retard when I first attempted clearing it, but now it barely takes 15. I use 1CL 5DD and never bother sparkling, too.
I've been using it for much more than a month or two and generally speaking, for pre-final I might get turned back once or twice, and for final run maybe twice tops from both diversion or taiha.
So that's 3 + 2 for pre-final, 1 + 2, for a total of 8 runs max to clear the map.
Not worth noting, but the number of exp left to level up suddenly disappeared before even reaching max level.
I hope the next one will be cute too
Beginning at +6 you'll want to use the slider if you don't want to fail two to three times in a row. Simple math tells that such a scenario would be much more wasteful than using the slider in the first place.
After +7 for equipment that uses materials I don't really care for like 41cms. After +6 if it's something like 20.3(no3)
For equipment like T1AP and 51cm I start after +5 since AP shells and 46cms are a massive pain in the ass to get.
What the hell, this was also the super searchlight.
