Personally, i like the very different feel of Cevio voices that tell them appart from Vocaloid. Also the editor is quite different in that it allows for multiple Tracks in one window, even speech next to singing. A favorite voice of mine is the mature sounding 緑咲香澄.

Hey NYC concert goers, so I’m the anon who made that meet up guide for the NYC concert goers in one of the previous threads although I am still on the fence about actually physically guiding the concert goers that day as one other anon had suggested. Reason why I’m posting is because I want to know who’s planning to go to the NYC concert, what days they’ll be in NYC, will they be attending the afternoon or night concert and would like to join the meet up just so I can have an idea of how to plan for either myself to be the guide or some other anon who will pick up the reins.

Basically if I’m going to lead I can only do so for the people attending the night concert since that’s the one I’m attending, someone else will have to lead the afternoon group around. Because of this if you haven’t booked your days yet I suggest you all to come into NYC on Thursday night, stay for Friday and Saturday then head back whenever on Sunday. This is recommended for those that want to explore all aspects of NYC (both the otaku stuff and general stuff) as the venue where the concert is being held doesn’t allow food, drinks nor cameras inside and bringing extra stuff into the venue will create chaos. The Friday will be the main (hangout) day for all your shopping and touristy needs and since you have one whole day devoted to that it won’t be as stressful trying to beat the clock on the day of the concert. Also I can guide both concert goers on that Friday but I just need to know two weeks prior to that day so I can book my days off.

Another thing I want you guys to keep in mind is that subway fare (the main way of getting around NYC) costs $2.75 a pop so as you can see it can get pretty expensive fast traveling alone. There is an unlimited one week pass you can get for $31.00 but it’s only good if you REALLY going to be all over the place in NYC.

The retuned version of those songs is so gooood. Also one of my favorite things about Mirai DX is how you're able to change the singer's voice on each song. Len on Snowman, Rin on Animal Fortunetelling, Luka on Romeo and Cinderella... So good.

Matryoshka was tough imo, but I think Invisible is even harder. I was doing Matryoshka on hard getting S ranks and got wrecked by Invisible on hard on my first few tries.

I think it's because cute and innocent sells more than sexy and mature in Japan, so 'cute' designs and voices like Miku obviously sells more than the more mature types like Luka and Meiko. As for why Luka sells more, she was created by the Miku hype, so she got her fair share of spotlight, and her design is a lot more eye-catching that Meiko's. If you mean collecting Vocaloid card in art form then yes. I've never played Kancolle before, so I don't know how similar it is, but I find Mikucolle to be pretty intuitive, for someone who can only understand around 10% of it.

It's only available on the Japanese Playstore, but you can probably find the .apk somewhere on Google, or use something like QooApp. There's also a tumblr dedicated to translating updates and events, but I forgot where.

Nobody of any modern recognition in the scene actively uses utauloids like IA or Yukari. IA never really took off, despite her "fancy-pantsy" exterior. She sounds fine, but might as well go with V3 miku instead, you already have a wide, established fanbase.

Yukari is niche, way too niche, rarely used, and her ethereal voice is only good in moderation.

Len is a male vocaloid. That's all you have to know. Don't do this to your own ears. There's maybe like one, TWO great solo Len songs the rest are trash. The only other time Len sounds good is with Rin.

Gumi is fucking overrated garbage. She was used WAY too much for WAY TOO MANY vocarock (PUKE) albums. Her fanbase is also extremely annoying and arrogant. I'm glad she died out and is no longer popular nor used. Better to just go with a utaite singer if you want to do some crappy jap rock album.

Mikue is Miku. Corporate slut, she loves your money. Not you, your money. Great voice.

Luka is fine, she is very passé date, but she has a firm repertoire of music, across dozens of genres, something you rarely see from vocaloids other than Miku.

Rin is a very good, high-quality vocaloid, though many artists made her sound too shrill. It's unfortunate that she isn't quite as popular as before, but times change. Many of the first wave of vocaloid artists have moved on.

Yukari is used as much as luka and occupies a similar vocal niche as her, which is a more mature low tenor voice. She works well with a variety of genres especially jazz, which is a huge plus in my book. Also, a lot of your reasons for not liking a given vocaloid are purely subjective.
