being an eop is suffering these days. I can't even get excited seeing green because I know 90% chance it's machine translation. why do people let fuwatards get away with this? they're like anti-matter for translations.
The number of evangile wallscroll bundles has dropped from 30 to 23, and it has moved to the second spot on hardcopy sales chart. Est hardcopy sales for entire week 18-26.
Although a surprisingly large fraction of anonymous appear to have bought yurirei, Haruka is beating it in preorders if the popularity sort is to be believed.

Mangagamer appears to have taken on some new translators as neither the evangile fandisk nor pygmalion appear to be being done by any of the usual suspects.
I have a feeling conjueror's next next project is a mangagamer project as well given his shilling, which is something that allows one to narrow down that bizarre tournament of his a fair deal.
And of course, all of the usual suspects themselves are finishing up something, or will be finishing up something likely before con season. I guess eroge e3'll be something this year.
Well that would match up with Euphoria and the pattern of best selling games being rape/scat. It is funny because it means rapeplay would probably have been among the best translation options the industry could bring here, even though it almost killed the industry.
I guess what feminists wants and porn consumers want is complete opposite. What a surprise!
That statement was more focused on the honest surprise at how much of /jp/ bought yurirei. While Haruka will probably sell fairly well on namepower alone, yurirei will have the power of steam behind it in the end.
>the pattern of best selling games being rape/scat
I have not observed this pattern. While Euphoria has done surprisingly well, I do not believe it to be entirely due to it's selection of content but instead on it's more memetic status.
Rather, instead the pattern of mangagamer's best selling games instead seems to be more a matter of getting on steam. Beyond that, it would appear that having pretty art and a diverse cast of waifus seems to help a title sales wise. With diversity in this instance meaning both tits and atleast one girl that is/borders on loli.
I'm not the least surprised at yurirei sales. People want to tell Valve their steam censorship is shit, and buying Yurirei is the best way to do it. Many people think the games only sell because of Steam, but there are plenty of Steam games that don't sell well at all.
Isn't it just the trend MG has stated themselves? That a title with an anime and with gameplay and sex will outsell other things? It has little to do with body sizes or actual content, just that it hits all the standards for a good seller.
Not to mention that Yurirei really has no claim to fame other then lesbians and tits on steam. It has no anime and isn't really a title anyone has been proclaiming as kamige for years.
It makes complete sense that at least on MG's site, Haruka would sell better as it fits every criteria for selling well.
I see gameplay as a negative in this market. Because there is literally nothing worse than multi route gameplay titles that force you to replay the same levels dozens of times.
But yes, a highly linear with no routes and no options game would be fine with porn. Not sure if Haruka fits that description.
Pygmalion's being done by BlackDragon or Good_Haro, isn't it? Both just finished their projects and one of them is the one who wanted to do Pygmalion and is the reason it is being brought over, so that would make sense, I just can't remember which one.
It's BDH doing pygmalion. MG has also always had some lesser-known translators who don't expose themselves to public scrutiny much. It's probably one of those doing w happiness.
> have a feeling conjueror's next next project is a mangagamer project
Nope. He already said multiple times that the Japanese company is releasing it themselves and that no other western company is involved.
He is ON a project directly from Japanese devs.
He has a POSSIBLE OFFICIAL NEXT PROJECT that is unknown completely, aside from being on the first 48 of his contest. (since he added suggested titles on it later which dont count)
I care about other stuff (fwiw I'm probably the only person at MG who finished reading Fraternite). I've worked on way more non-BL titles so far too. No one else at MG is particularly interested in josei-muke titles though.
But, no, I am not working on Pygmalion.
Yeah of course. BL is josei-muke and primarily a PC-based genre and there are a number of PC otome games (I mean look at Ozmafia). There are a few 18+ otome games that I could see guys enjoying too and a couple more plot-oriented all-ages ones that people might find interesting. I mean, there are a few BL games I think y'all would enjoy too if you could stop being babbies about a extra few dicks.
Anyway, I've got a few titles I'm gunning for. Hopefully it'll happen, but it's not really up to me.
>Bunny Black 2 - Translation mostly done, beta release
This has been posted as complete and a release date given since the 16th. You've missed updating it twice now.
But at least all the Fuwanovel machine TLs are fastidiously updated.
>I'm going to give my editor/whoever wants to poke at the images/interface about a week to find any lingering issues. Full release, barring catastrophe, is penciled in for the 26th.
>Not stalking Aroduc's every move
If you want to be pedantic, translation was finished three weeks ago.
>Otherwise all further textual work on my part will be purely reactive to any issues/bugs/errors/typos/etc made. I expect Tolrin's editing pass to be done within a week or two. Once that's finished, it can be released as soon as the image work is done to my satisfaction. The more of that I have to do myself, the longer it's going to be until that point.
>Although a surprisingly large fraction of anonymous appear to have bought yurirei, Haruka is beating it in preorders if the popularity sort is to be believed.
Not surprising, since most people will likely just wait for Kindred Spirits to come out on Steam.
Looks like Sekai changed the description for the game.
>From the makers of Ever17, one of the highly acclaimed Visual Novels, comes a title called Root Double which wants to release on Steam!
One of his editors told Tinfoil he was working on Himegari while he was working on Duel Savior, so Tinfoil tweeted that it was Himegari and posted it on vntls.org, which propagated around. It never was Himegari.
This one seems funny and cool anon but if i have to make a choice i would choose https://vndb.org/v10948 but it's impossible because the girls are too busty or old "milf" for MG customers.
Too old. If MG pick a new ClockUp title it'll be Eromanga! because it's recent and there is a hentai anime adaptation. Or maybe Fraternite because it's in the same style as Euphoria and i heard Euphoria did great sales wise.
I think something from https://vndb.org/v1061 and on would be good. https://vndb.org/v5100 look like the best of their older works. It will probably be something more recent though.
The said that euphoria likely did well because it had a sizable female fan base and people defending it for being art. They're concerned that those things might not translate to other similar works.
I know but if you look at their last releases you can see that they want to focus on recent title with appealing art and chara-design. Erotsuma! looks old if you compare with Eroge! or Eromanga! even if they are from the same "setting".
Euphoria did great because the anime adaptation is really popular in the west. Hamashima Shigeo art is gorgeous too.
They claim they have Sony approval for Root Double. But who knows if you can really believe them after all that bullshit they put out about how it took them almost 2 years to push paperwork through Sony.
And you know they'll just wait until 2017 before announcing that it's harder than they thought, then in 2018, announcing that it won't be happening after all, but anybody who wants a refund can have $40 of their pledge back.
Remember when they announced that the patch they were about to release for WAS had all the voice acting that was the entire point of the Kickstarter, then a month later, announced that the recording hadn't even been started yet?
Promise anything to get their money in your pocket. When it comes time to deliver, blame the devs.
It's served them well so far.
Takumi Nakazawa just has the worst of luck. Zero Escape series becomes massively popular in the West even though it steals all of its twists from his earlier works, with Uchikoshi entering popular perception as the creator of the infinity series (while nobody has heard of the arguably more influential Nakazawa) while Nakazawa's post-infinity works remain really obscure here, then his game almost gets cancelled because of a nuclear disaster, and when he gets the chance to release something in the West, Sekai Project royally screws up the Kickstarter.
They're now blaming the weather for why they can't ship physical goods for WAS yet. The California weather.
>Physical goods are on their way, we're going to have them ready to ship before the holidays
>Physical goods have arrived, we're ready to start shipping
>Actually don't have all the physical goods yet. You have until January 4th to finalize your address and then we'll start shipping.
>Physical goods have arrived, again, but not going to ship until it stops raining.
Christ, Sekai Project.
I actually think they're doing better than they were a week ago. If they can manage to keep up their current rate of pledges for the next 8 days, they'll probably actually make it with the final push+them covertly adding a bit to the pot.
Yeah, but Naotaka became popular due to making good new stuff (arguably Chaos;Head took inspiration from Never7, but it's very different). Uchikoshi became popular due to rehashing the stuff he made with Nakazawa, receiving all of the credit for the twists even though he barely did anything new, and in the process completely eclipsed Nakazawa's works in the Western fanbase. Ever17 gets lower ratings due to people already having seen the twists in Zero Escape.
They needed this Vita push to get them at least 15-20k or to raise the baseline. It doesn't look like this has enough legs, they'll be back at doing 1.5k per day soon and they'll fall short.
It's still financially well worth it for them to donate $20k of their own money, 'paying' only $2k to KS fees, to make sure they get the $90k that they sure as shit wouldn't make with a normal release.
They also won't need to fulfill those high rewards since it's themselves.
While I doubt Kickstarter is happy with this, the linked page just implies that the campaign itself may not be a raffle or contest. What Sekai is doing is not really explicitly prohibited.
>5 Grand prize winners which include a Physical copy of CLANNAD, Physical copy of The Fruit of Grisaia, and a choice of 2 Steam keys from our pool of released games on Steam.
>20 winners who will get 1 Steam Key from a pool of our released games on Steam.
>How to enter:
>Pledge $30 to our latest Kickstarter Root Double- Before Crime * After Days- Xtend Edition and you will automatically be entered as long as the email we have on file matches your Kickstarter email! It's that simple! Also this applies to everyone who already pledged! (Unless you unsubscribed from the Newsletter)
This is definitely shady as fuck and against KS rules to promise shit outside the project's scope for backing it having nothing to do with the project.
Everyone report this to KS. Raffles are explicitly prohibited.
Although that may be what they want so they can relaunch it at a lower number and handwave an excuse.
Dovac's too stupid to come up with a plan like that. He no doubt probably honestly though it was a good idea, and 50% chance was planning on 'randomly' giving the prizes to his own people anywaay.
That's why after I reported it for that, and explained why, and cited why, I encouraged other people to do the same.
Was it that hard to understand? You don't need to back things to report them.
The most beautiful thing about this statement is the tacit admission that original goal is not for funding the project in the first place. Afterall, if the money was doing anything other than being pocketed in the first place, there'd be no room to use it to fund a vita version.
Pretty much describes the ML kickstarter daki illustration delays too
>age delays Japanese release by like 7 months
>degica still claims sample illustrations will only be put back a few weeks
Some people emailed sekai threatening them with criminal charges if they don't provide free way to participate. There are some california laws against this kind of raffles if there's no way to participate for free.
The desperation is almost palpable.
Do you really believe that there are so many Vita owners willing to shell out $225+ to get a *digital only* game a *year* after everyone else has done reading it on PC already? I'm not saying there are none, but I'm sure it's SP backing themselves out of the failure, like >>14663985 said.
In other news, it's now possible to dump Vita games in decrypted form:
Who's been doing Vita-to-PC voice patch for FHA? There are your voice files.
Well, saying "I need $20k for new image of space ship, $30k for another trip to japan and $100k for gifts to my friends among doujin developers and gaming media" wouldn't help him get projects funded.
Hey haro, if the forums are staying nuked you might consider putting a con schedule up on the blog since anime boston'll be soon and I imagine there's probably something to be announced there?
Unless it's just gonna be a huge showing at AX and Otakon.
If it doesn't impress even the most devoted of SP shills, I highly doubt that said exposure converts into money at a favorable rate, so to say. Mostly because it's even uncertain whether it was positive to begin with.
I've stopped being surprised. It seems like regardless of what weird fetish is put out, it sells. Would be nice to see one of those VNs with only boys dressing as girls and watch it sell a ton just to prove my point.
Huh, I thought he stopped doing mangagamer stuff to pursue contracts that actually pay
I wonder if they offered him more.
Just because some retard who doesn't understand anything about jurisdiction of federal agencies sent them anonymous tip, it doesn't mean anything will actually happen.
Some random clerk will spend 20 seconds reviewing it and then send it into trash bin.
I can report your comment to the FBI too if I wanted to.
It doesn't mean jack shit, dumbass.
This sekai project hate circlejerk is just as cancerous and stupid as sekai project itself.
is it actually good? I didn't play the first one when it was translated because everyone said the dev was shit compared to alicesoft and eushully. I think the 2nd or 3rd game was supposed to be better, but I don't remember which one it was.
After the brief spike from the Vita bullshit, looks like RD's quickly returning to previous pathetic (and deserved) levels.
Can't wait for some ridiculous tier change or similar this weekend as an excuse for Dovac's shell accounts to pump in the money they need.
I mean wouldn't it cost even more money for it to be on the Vita? At minimum, they will have to re-license the voices. So to say that you can get the Vita version at the current price goal is a bit disingenuous.

Do Jast's web designers understand that not everybody has the same screen resolution that they do? Almost every one of their pages is fucked up unless you're on that one resolution.
They're trying to get Aselia on steam again?
Everyone's gonna complain about the art for sure.
I wonder if they'll consider localizing the new one?
If Jast does it maybe we'll get it 30 years after the Japanese release.
Some grisaia news from herkz:
<herkz> so guys, have you heard about how hard sekai project plans on censoring meikyuu and rakuen?
<herkz> this is unacceptable
<herkz> they're removing "problematic" incest and child porn
<sacredgeo> will the one Learning Anatomy scene near the beginning of meikyuu remain
<herkz> sacredgeo: no, it has been CENSORED
<herkz> and will not appear in the steam release
That's not trolling though. SP is releasing Grisaia with all Kazuki, Asako, Julia and so on scenes removed and scenario retconned as if they never happened, which is going to fuck up dynamics between Yuuji and Asako+Julia and leave some things about his personality unexplained or bullshitted. Don't want to even guess what they are going to do with epilogue in Rakuen, Yuuji vs Kazuki standoff was only decent thing there and now its not going to happen.
Herkz is trying to laugh it off by making it look like people care only because of weird fetish porn, but he's not fooling anyone here and issue is very serious.
Is there a source for this?
Moogy was pretty pissed about SP cutting out some stuff for the Steam release of Kajitsu so I can't see him being happy about this.
That being said, Moogy is a sheep who'll probably just go with the flow on how other people in the tlwiki circlejerk feel.
Moogy's old and busted.
Conjueror's the new patron saint of all visual novel translators and visual novel taste. Not a single one of his translations has been released yet, and he refuses to do porn, so he really is just like Moogy.
Embrace the new dick to suck.
You're wrong. Moogy likes to pretend he's a Shepherd, but the guy's got more self-esteem issues than your average /jp/sie. He goes along with the party stance so he can appear as if he's shepherding them, when really he's just being led by the nose.
Heh. They also seemed to have moved the Vita pledge down to the $99 tier. It was a minimum $225 before. They should've just moved it down to $60. Afterall, it doesn't matter the tier when they're not going to keep their promises.
We all knew the steam version was gonna get raped to hell and back, which is why nobody gives a shit that it's "releasing" soon when the real thing is gonna be next year at best.
Still though, herkz is pretty problematic. I wish someone would localize him so he'd appeal to a broader audience.
>Aroduc localized Buddhist related lines to Christian lines.
"I DEMAND my LINES I CANT UNDERSTAND to be translated into ENGLISH while they carry the SAME EXACT INTENT AND MEANING in JAPANESE"
>As for BB3 in the future… even post-behemoth, I wouldn't hold my breath for a number of reasons. The most important one is that SH Chara's engine by default is double-width unicode, so it needs to have some… stuff… hacked to it to make it display English correctly. The hacker who did that for BB1/2 is with MangaGamer now and wasn't returning any messages for fixing the few lingering issues with BB2. I have, however, been told that MG and SHChara have been in touch with each other and they're not totally against it, but not now. Not soon. Not next month. I wouldn't even put bets on this year. But that is a possibility I've heard rumblings of in the future. The point is, until that issue is solved, I'm not going to lift a finger to work on it.
>There's also quite a large chunk of extra text for the replacement scenes and I think maybe some extra stuff, which I got the offer to work on, but declined, so any further delays are totally all my fault. My bad, everyone.
Seems like jast is hurting for contractors these days.
If MG was going to partner with a gameplay company, I would've liked to have seen Astronauts. Demonion has the makings of a successful release. They also have Spocon! ~Sports Wear-Complex~ in their catalog, which I've been interested in since I watch the OVA.

Whatever it is, it sounds like it's already 'translated' before.
>But what's truly horrifying about this game is how bad the editing is. It's straight up appalling. It takes about 20 times as long to fix all their typoes, mistranslated terms, misunderstood references, and obvious lack of version-control than it does to just translate normally, and those things never goddamned stop.
>Pre-order isn't up
>No date at all
More potential delay from JAST.
Yet another potential delay from JAST.
In related news, steam kickstarter for Aselia. Which will be out first? Aselia on steam or Seinarukana release? Only JAST knows!
He likes Baldr Force and even said he would consider translating it at some point.
>And in case anybody was curious, yes, it is something I have contemplated working on since decent tools exist and I wouldn’t need a hacker.
>Not right now though. Not next. Not the one after that. Most likely not the one after that either (although at least two of those are very short). But maybe some day, if for no other reason than to undercut Sky. Spite can be a decent motivator and without all the chaff, the game’s not tremendously long, although a real project would get the same treatment as Duel Savior with pulling in the best content from all dozen releases…
I considered that, but he says
>And for at least one ending to be completely rewritten from scratch because it physically makes the bile rise in my gullet when I think about it with how unbelievably awful it is.
I can't imagine he'd fan-fic major plot points because he didn't like them.
But let's say you're right. What (presumably game play based) VNs are out there with oodles gratuitous English and foreign references and shit?
If it's only the steam version i don't give a fuck. Problem is that it's going to take so fucking long before they release the 18+ version. I hope it'll leak so i can torrent it day one.
Pretty much all of them.
And if you're talking about strategy games that would have lots of foreign shit because they're based on random historical crap, that narrows it down not at all.
I think he couldn't care less about incest porn. It is everywhere and not even feminists talk about it. He'll just be a regular SJW and refuse to cover child porn.
Which will just make him even less kickstarter funds in the future because people don't tolerate that shit unless they are already SJWs themselves.
Even JAST wouldn't put out an official fully uncensored version of Shiny Days. I don't see dovac taking the risk. I don't see denpa ever doing hardcore games either, since everyone basically knows they're Sekai Project under a different name.
On the other hand that game did so terribly they sold it at 50% off at Christmas Sale. So censorship and game crashing bugs are not the stuff you want to go with unless you want it instantly in a bargain bin.
'Even JAST'? JAST has been known to censor titles in the past. It's more amazing they went on for so long without censoring a title.
And I doubt Meikyuu's 18+ release will be an issue for DenpaSoft. Kajitsu had a little girl (though indeed not canonically underage) have sex with a guy she called 'Papa'. You'd have to try hard to get more controversial than that.
/jp/ brothers and friends of visual novels,
currently I am working on my master thesis (cultural transfer through computer games using the example of visual novels). Would any of you mind doing a short survey?
(26 questions, should take 5-10 minutes). Thanks!
They are never confirmed to be underage. You could argue that due to the circumstances, they're all adults attending their special 'academy' (which I don't think is even ever called a 'high school').
Who cares if it's only for the Steam release?
However, since they're tailoring it for Steamfags it means they're basically rewriting the plot.
Gas them, gas them all.
Though I think the elephant in the room is that Steamfags get their version first while the 18+ one is a total afterthought. SP is awful, I hope they die and the void gets replaced by Mangagamer who seem to be the only vaguely competent folks in the industry.
Sekai Project; they're pretty well know for making "cheap" translations, editing the fan ones and claiming them like "new/improved translations" or releasing VN without without proofreading. Excluding Koest or the guys from Lemisca they level it's a la par with MoeNovel.
I wonder why dovac even bothers with VNs. His kickstarter shows that you can sell shikishi for 4000 dollars in black and white, or 6000 dollars in color. If he just mass produced like 100 of those and sold it would get him 600 000 dollars.
You really should not make statements like this.
Any word of Altered Fable? I've been out of the loop for a while.
>kickstarter funded for the VNs that were already translated
I don't know where else on /jp/ to ask and I don't want to make a new thread for it, but is the ftp site working for everyone else? It prompts me to input the username/password and after I click log on it just won't load. So I'm just wondering if it moved domain again?
They keep getting caught forgetting to edit mistranslated lines from Google Translate, and mistranslating basic colloquial words you hear in Japanese all the time and making up weird excuses like "I'm Indo-Polynesian and that's what it means in my language."
It's very sad.
It'll make it. SP will back it with their own money if need be.
SP wouldn't *quite* be paying for it, the employees would be on paper, which enables them to donate whatever the greatest remaining reward is, so they can to not arouse suspicion, as I doubt that it's against KSes ToS for employees of said corporation to invest in projects, since that would be borderline unenforceable, especially if a larger company was hosting a Kickstarter.
In exchange for the employee backing whatever amount, they'd get the same amount back with some extra, either through raises, stock options, or whatever for 'good performance'. Nothing about this would be on paper.
The ridiculously expensive options for almost anything on Kickstarter always felt like a dev pledge device, to be honest.

The only massive drops and rises were at the very beginning, and at the very end immediately during the final 7 days, ostensibly when the final week notice is sent out, and from possible additional advertising on Kickstarter for soon-to-be-expired projects. Regardless of the cause that's the important point, that it's the final week that you get a massive spike in donations, in fact, most of the donations actually come in at the end (72k+ was donated in the final 7 days of the Libra Kickstarter, despite it nearly reaching it's goal of 125k beforehand). Essentially, what I'm saying is that Root Double would almost surely be funded even if SP didn't pump any money into it, because almost half of the pledges commonly come at the end unless there's immense hype riding on it (e.g. Muv Luv).
However, looking at the Root Double data seems somewhat unnatural. It starts out fine, ranging all the way to the 24th, but then you have a very strange spike at a zenith, from 1.4k to 9.4k, then a slight drop for two days, then back to 7.5k. It's unnatural, momentum does not work that way, based on the Libra and Muv Luv Kickstarters. Especially since this is right before the final 7 days, which tends to be one of the most inactive periods.
My conclusion is that SP is pumping money into it.
That's a minor expense. The basis that scum use Kickstarter for is for financial security. Doesn't get funded? No security.
Even if Root Double was only 70% funded and SP had to pump 30% into it, it's a minor loss when that 70% may or may not purchase the game if it was released, and if they release the title despite the Kickstarter failing, they'll lose reputation with the public for just looking for a cheap buck on Kickstarter rather than actually using it to fund a project that wouldn't otherwise get funded. Conversely, if they didn't release it, they'd lose reputation with VN publishers for being unreliable and wasting company resources in a tight-margin industry.
The only path to victory for them is ensuring the Kickstarter succeeds, despite the costs, because the alternative is far worse. It's ironic really, that a platform that wealthy jews use for financial security, is also the platform that can and will ruin them.
>Even if Root Double was only 70% funded and SP had to pump 30% into it, it's a minor loss when that 70% may or may not purchase the game if it was released,
That's a weird notion. Why am I willing to pledge on kickstarter but not buy on steam?
I see what you mean. Yes, it could be a way to secure full price preorders. I suppose the ultimatum (get it funded or else) would have been more convincing if it hadn't been such a quick turnaround
1. Kickstarters are more notable than Steam releases for niche games, and, as I said prior, people would see the subsequent release despite the Kickstarter failing as attempted financial pilfering, and thus being far more likely to resort to piracy, or waiting for the game to be on sale.
2. Sales drive down the cost of the game. If that 70% wanted the game, they'll probably get it at reduced prices, which, on top of the 30% Steam cut (much higher than Kickstarter), means they can lose up to 40% of their profit instead of only 15% or whatever Kickstarter takes. Basically, not every one of that 70% would buy the game immediately, and plenty not at full price.
3. That 70% is 'locked-in'. It's a guaranteed 70% funding, whereas relying on Steam sales is a riskier ordeal and many or may not actually purchase the game, and will not purchase at the same time so the income is far more gradual. This also means there's fewer cashflow issues - SP themselves don't have to forward 135k to handle the game, but rather, only a couple dozen, which means they have money to spare for other projects and won't have to accrue additional debt.
fire emblem fates got censored.
Also just finished the chiaya route in rewrite.
I lost some brain cells today, whoever wrote that route should never touch a VN or story again. At least I know romeo didn't write that shit. My friend said her route was the only really bad one and Akane was best, I can tell she will be. He doesn't even know really who wrote her, told him romeo did it ( he didn't read cross channel), he could tell R07 wrote lucia though. My god i wanted to kill myself... but I got through it. I cant wait for some R07 next, I really like lucia. kotori was really well written, thanks to remeo.
I hear akane won the poll a while back.
My friend said he hated shizuru, she won second in the poll though but im guessing thats because she is a loli.
His he really gonna write dies irae, I looked him up and hes actually a pro and has degree's in japanese. I think he might be our savior like ixrec and grisaia guy. I think he might even translate baldr sky based on it making second place. If hes really a pro he might be a fast translator.
Thought I would get some opinions on rewrite. Its got good reviews but I felt a lot of the common route was a waste of time. chiaya really tested my will power, what the fuck was that route. It was shounen shit tier and the pace was just awful. It took way to long for no reason other than being horribly written. Im just glad i got it over with because now I can enjoy the better routes. plus terra and moon should be completely different since romeo wrote it. I have a feeling I will not like shizuru, maybe her route is ok though.
I know im ranting but im a bit high on meds.
I like it here more and started here in 2009, you guys are more likely my age and even know more than me since some of you can read jap.
So, SP rep on neogaf posted that at $99 for vita, they are going to lose money on porting if KS doesn't earn them extra beyond main goal and whole project would depend on sales.
Now dovac actually needs to sell his game and act like proper business instead just scamming people with promises.
>So, SP rep on neogaf posted that at $99 for vita, they are going to lose money on porting if KS doesn't earn them extra beyond main goal and whole project would depend on sales.
will be real interesting to see how this all plays out. I can't even tell who is subsidizing who anymore, are the PC players paying for the Vita players or vice-versa?
There's like 70 people in the Vita tiers and a late 2017 release on the Vita isn't likely to sell that much. SP is basically doing this port out of desperation because they need this Kickstarter to succeed.
Literally who gives a shit about discussing ancient chinese porn games as if they were literature. If you wanna circlejerk about that shit so much, why don't you just go to /vg/vn?
I'll stick to the weekly translation and scene drama thread, thanks.
They even said so as much when people asked them about it. I mean the Vita used to be a stretch goal for other VNs yet suddenly here it was included at no extra cost. I wonder if Vita players on KS are fucking stupid. What they are funding is just the original game.
The point is that the Vita release was already planned and probably almost done like everything having to do with this VN. Otherwise, it would be a stretch goal rather than just tacked on for !FREE!
Since it was already planned and basically done, they're merely creating the perception of added value to the KS without losing any money by tacking it on to $99+ rewards, of which there is a severe minority of compared to the number of people who would actually buy it on the VIta.
The site for Haruka is up.
Looks really nice. Imagine shock of somebody who hears about the game through Twitter, checks out the site, wants to buy it and goes to MG main-site to see the shitfest that it is.
Noticed the shikishi were lowered down to 1500 and 2000 dollars and so called sold at these levels. I guess people really do think drawings are worth 500 - 1000 dollars. Because it can't be Sekai bailing themselves out.
