Who do you think it is /jp/?
My vote goes to Yukarin, one of the best looking residents of Gensokyo and despite being hated she jsut has Gensokyo's interests at heart. She is also nice to Reimu.
Byakuren is my mom, but I'm going to betray her and say Eirin is the best, because she can hook you up with some sweet healthcare and probably won't charge you lots. Also she is hot.
Erin is taking over this thread
this is now an Erin thread.
My vote goes to Yuukarin, one of the strongest residents of Gensoukyou and despite being feared she just wants to hang out and grow flowers. She is also nice to shopkeepers.
ok. How do you win the heart of an immortal, thousand years old Lunarian doctor? What would you do on a date with her?
That is a good question anon. I think it would be fun to
walk hand in hand trough the bamboo forest and talk about our favourite constellations
Why would anyone trust moon bitch?
We know fuck all about her and dont know her motives. She may hate other moon bitches, but that doesnt mean she likes Gensokyo.
Yukari has her mysteries too, but atleast she cares about the place and protecting it is her primary motive.
But Eirin, whats her motive aside from "I hate moon people, and Kaguya is here". You cant trust Eientei.
I wouldnt be suprised if the money made from medicine was saved for when Kaguya feels like empire building.
>she just wants to hang out and grow flowers
"Genocide is just another game" - Youkai moe
>How do you win the heart of an immortal, thousand years old Lunarian doctor?
You dont. The only person she cares about is Kaguya, she isnt even close to Reisen. In fact due to age, she probably had a bunch of other pet rabbits before her, trained them, then they died and were replaced. Reisen's had hard lives.
I doubt she would care about such things after living so long. I mean it's nice, but when you saw the same thing for so long and still have an eternity left. I think she will eventually go batshit, along with all other immortals. Bored after 200 million years, nothing new to interest you and the ride never ends. That's what hell is like. She probably wont care about you either, given your insanely short lifespan.
Mortal youkai are a much better choice.
From the Touhou wiki
>Her true Lunarian first name is unpronounceable by the impure (i.e. earthlings).
Let's think up a cute nickname for our favourite Lunarian doctor~!
You're on the wrong board anon nobody wants you here
>muh edgy batshit insane 2hoo theories
Bitch. She is also impure due to elixer. You cant look down on humans like that, especially when Lunarians are so shit. I love Junko for fucking them up, but it's a shame she is just angry.
No,, it's a pretty simple and realistic thing. Desensitization will eventully set in. Not grimdark or edgy, but a fact. I guess she could make some drugs for that, but thats not much of a life constantly on pills.
WHo are you quoting btw?
Have you read CiLR? Did you miss all the stuff about Eirin being done with the moon and wanting to become a true part of Gensoukyou? Sure, she's relatively distant, even cold, towards everyone other than Kaguya, but aside from that you're just making shit up trying to push your Grimsoukyou on everyone else.
>on the moon
Think about what you just implied.
You don't even know what desensitization means, do you.
Even if one would go insane from immortality, that's only what humans think would happen. Eirin is not even human, and more importantly, canonly sane. ZUN made her character that way.
It's why every non-secondary over the age of 12 dislikes secondary Flan.
>You don't even know what desensitization means, do you.
I do m8, but I like how you just say that and act as if you have made some point. Doing the same things over and over and over, will eventually result in you losing interest. This is Eirin's fate because she is immortal, and eventually she will run out of new things to amuse her.
>Eirin isn human
Doesnt make her immune to boredom.
You mean canonly sane at the moment. I am talking billions of years from now.
Why so afraid of death, my false buddhist friend?
Because she is a pure maiden.
Go find Byakuren or Sanae for that bullshit.
I love them all but I have a soft spot for Yuuka. She's not the psycho killing machine fandom makes her out to be she is just a long lived youkai that wants to live in peace with her flowers. Plus she has somewhat of a morbid sense of humour.
>also shes ghost so she gets no downgrades from sex like pregnancy n shit
Thats what someone thought when they fucked a phantom.
>im pretty sure with childish character and big tats yuyuko cant be pure
Yes she can.
Nice fanfiction, very interesting
I don't think the lack of Eirin threads are a bad thing. Do you really want her to become the next Shimakaze, sachiko or Yukari?
Yuyuko and Byakuren are the best
Yuyuko x Yukari friendship OTP
Byakuren best mom
No, but I feel she isnt popular enough for how good she is. Also I want more good quality images of her.
Why wouldnt she?
I have lots of Eirin images, but they're all lewd ones.
It always surprises me whenever I see the whole Byakuren = mother thing around here. ZUN describes her as having the disposition of a kindly grandmother but without the genuine warmth and humanity of one, due to how detached she is from nearly everything and everyone around her. Even in terms of how she looks, she definitely comes off more as an older sister than she does as a mother.
So why does a character who doesn't really act maternal or look maternal become mother material? Is it the boobs?
>ZUN describes her as having the disposition of a kindly grandmother but without the genuine warmth and humanity of one
How can you be that, without the warmth?
Is it all just an act?
I dont get why she doesnt jsut adopt Taoism if she is only interested in immortality.
>How can you be that, without the warmth? Is it all just an act?
It's not an act.
They aren't overly common, but there are people who are unconditionally nice or unconditionally generous. They treat others well, but they don't do it out of personal affection or desire for praise or anything like that. Rather, they treat others well because their ethos demands it and, in internalizing that ethos, it has simply become as much of a habit as eating or breathing is to a normal person.
If this sounds unnatural to you, it should. In the same way that someone who is unconditionally cruel or unconditionally callous/ruthless is aberrant, someone who rewards both kindness with kindness and evil with kindness without so much as a decision is someone who has no chance of forming a meaningful bond with other human beings.
I suppose that's why Byakuren turned to the monsters after her brother died.
Anyway, this is who Byakuren really is, and it's something that unfortunately never gets explored by anyone. What we instead get about her is bullshit "hurr look at how much a psycho she is" like Stripe Pattern.
>someone who rewards both kindness with kindness and evil with kindness without so much as a decision is someone who has no chance of forming a meaningful bond with other human beings.
You're aware that this is exactly what the Buddha himself did? Historically proven that it does the exact opposite of what you think it does, when you manage to be truly impartial and entirely compassionate.
Where did ZUN describe her as lacking actual warmth and humanity anyway? A resemblance to a grandmother was mentioned in PMiSS, but where else?
What you're attributing to the Buddha is what most people would call "indifference" rather than just "impartiality" or "universal compassion." That was actually the point I was trying to make above--can you truly call someone who treats others kindly while not having any real regard for them at all a good or compassionate individual?
>Where did ZUN describe her as lacking actual warmth and humanity anyway?
In Symposium of Post Mysticism where he's talking about her interests and activities and whatnot. He says that she has nothing she really hates (except maybe humans although she doesn't show it if she does) but nothing she really likes either, which is to say that she doesn't have any real investment in her surroundings. This is further corroborated by her sutra recitals and how, despite how no one takes them seriously or pays attention to their actual purpose, she indifferently keeps holding them.
A normal person would throw in the towel. A good person would try and change things up or maybe incorporate a different approach in order to try and get the audience to understand. An aberrant person would continue doing the same thing, because whether the audience is actually benefiting from her altruistic action is irrelevant to her as long as the action itself is an altruistic one.
Does that not strike you as abnormal at best and actively repulsive at worst? That's what ZUN was trying to get across, as I understood it.
>because whether the audience is actually benefiting from her altruistic action is irrelevant to her as long as the action itself is an altruistic one.
Oh god. SHe's a SJW.
The fact she chose Buddhism while completely ignorant of it, the fact she looks like she dyed her hair, the pathological altruism. All she needs is thick rimmed glasses, 200lbs and a twitter account.
I was wrong about Futo. She is the hero Gensokyo deserves.
