Would it be worth to get a Vita to play Ciel ? I already bought the game but I didn't know it's not compatible with the PSTV so I'm at a loss here.
>>
>>14568921
I didn't think it was worth it. Then I started watching the translated story on YT (to prepare for Ar), and after about two chapters I ended up getting the game and a Vita. Ion was just too cute, and I'm a sucker for games where you can collect outfits and dress up your characters.

If you only care about the story, though, you can get by with just the translation pastebin or videos.
>>
>>14568921
If your PS TV is not on the latest firmware v3.55, you can hack its whitelist to allow playing any Vita game you want (but if the game requires Vita-exclusive input such as camera or touch screen it may become uncompletable; I don't know how Ciel in particular will be affected).
If it is on the latest firmware and you still get a Vita, there's a good chance that one of them will be collecting dust soon.
Ideally you should have:
1) Vita on exploitable firmware: 3.18 or older (best) > 3.3x - 3.51 > 3.52 > 3.55 (worst)
2) PS3 capable of PSN access (OFW or CFW) to transfer Vita games from if your 1) Vita is not on the latest firmware
3) Vita/TV on the latest firmware for online features, PS+ and playing Vita games that require newer firmware than 1) has.

So if you already have a PS3, you should get a hackable Vita (Ciel is older than the "golden" firmware 3.18, so you can have many older consoles in your single Vita through emulation).

If not, you can still get a Vita and a memory card, but it will be the waste of money for the most part unless you sell them or PS TV when you're done playing Ciel (it's not possible to use a memcard from 3.55+ Vita/TV in Vita/TV on older firmware anymore).

My PSTV is on the lastest firmware unfortunately, and I'm a little uncomfortable with hacking anyway. I guess I'll have to waste a bit of money to play Ciel. It would be a shame to not play it actually since >>14568967 seems to be enjoying it.

The PSTV wouldn't work well, anyway. Ciel requires the touchscreen to pat Ion on the head, and the camera to scan barcodes to generate Sharls.

I haven't played them all, but I'm playing Salburg (currently Elie) and it's a blast. I had always thought of them as simple, primitive games but it turns out they're very fun, Elie opens things up with custom crafting, 13 different endings, and many many events. Very fun stuff.

Mana Khemia had a really good card based battle system, and Roxis was amazing shuffling the cards.

I always wonder why Gust ditched that, and instead made a very primitive and basic turn based system thereafter. Why can't we have both awesome alchemy and awesome battles?

What is it about Gust that makes them feel so distinctly Japanese?

>Atelier series director Yoshito Okamura shared some of his plans for 2016 in an interview in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Hachima.]
>“Regarding Atelier Sophie, I’m currently considering a new kind of development in response to its favorable reception,” shared Okamura. “I’d also like to vigorously take on a challenge with a new title like Nights of Azure.”

Interesting that all 3 Koei Tecmo representatives are from Gust.

With regards to Atelier Sophie, market response was pretty good so it seems like he's going to try something new the next time. KT probably gave him the greenlight.

With regards to Yoru no Nai Kuni, the director is working with Gust on a new game now.

With regards to Surge Concerto, Tsuchiya says 2016 is a year where he fights with his life on his line ("命をかけた戦いになる"). What does that mean? No elaboration. Let's hope he's not sick or anything. Japanese colds can be fatal...
He's still working on Surge Concerto stuff and tells us to wait warmly for a Surge Concerto related (light?) novel.

My Japanese is pretty rusty. He's basically saying that 2016 will be a battle, and to expect a Surge Concerto novel, or is he saying they're writing a new script? I'm not sure.

I think you mean that Atelier is the only good thing they've been putting out recently. I don't care for Surge or Yoru at all but Atelier is still one of the few good series that Japan has left. I could maybe be interested in a Yoru sequel as long as it has a new main cast. I'd kind of rather see them try another new IP though.

That's unchanging personality. When given similar enough stimuli, she will respond the same, every time.
And stimuli being "a pretty guy", a preprogrammed response is "homewreck".
Well, at least with Lyner she doesn't actually ask him to stay unless you've gone through all of her Cosmosphere, even if it isn't a real Cosmosphere. So that doesn't really come out of nowhere, by this point that's kind of a natural reaction.

2) Cosmocrystal, recent work from ARM. STILL can't find any of it's downloads in the web. I can't order anything from the location where I live, because of heavy restrictions, so I hope, if this is possible, anons can take care of it, so it can finally be added.

I also patiently await Gust Sampler CD from new Comiket.

And for those who don't know - I also work on Atelier Music Collection in MP3 format. Hope to bring it to you right after FLACfag's collection.

1. Go to http://vgmdb.net and look for album
2. Copy as much as possible to MusicBrainz
3. Open the folder in MusicBrainz and mark it explicitly as the just-created release (most of GUST stuff get's labelled as the fucking big 20th anniversary release which drives me mad)
4. Fill in additional per-track information
5. Save

You're clearly not autistic enough to be a /jp/er, so get out.
>>
>>14591072

NISA is known for their mediocre translations and extremely liberal work when handling certain games. Among the list of games is Ar tonelico 2 which suffered greatly with a lot of things mistranslated and a lot of instances had characters sounding completely different to how they actually are. In a game that actually has a decent world and lore behind it this was rather shitty so some guys came along and have been working on it for a few years now.

It was playable before without a doubt but the retranslation just makes it better and more in line with what was actually intended. But now I'm reminded the poor Neptunia games will be forever shitty thanks to NISA. ;_;
>>
>>14591863
As if the retranslation will ever be released outside of ``private beta testing''. Hahaha, nice one.

Besides, are you telling me that Bitch and Whore are somehow better people when their translation isn't butchered? No thank you, I have absolutely no desire to slog through AT2 again, since it takes so long for best girl to join your ranks. And even after that, best girl is just an afterthought in the story, unfortunately. A tip to AT1 fan. Even her ending is more focused on what became of the other two.

WHY DID I SPEND 8000 TO GET IT DURING COMIKET
>>
>>14589530
This could pretty much sum up the backstory of almost all charaters in the game. It really sucks to be in the surge concerto universe, apparently
>>
>>14591893
I did the same even if Luca was, and is still, my favorite character-wise. Depite this, Luca DEFINITELY gets the short end of the stick in the game though; even her own path has Cloche everywhere in it, Cloche's........ Not so much. Too bad. This definitely could have been handled better
>>
>>14595860
Let's see.

Delta: somehow really easily possessed by extradimensional beings
Cass: falls in love with an idiot who's really easily possess by extradimensional beings
Sarly: Extremely sick.
Shirotaka: Fight with family about future goals.
Kanon: Artificially created and trained as COSAL shell.
Nay: Bodyjacked, used for experiments.
Ionasal: Souljacked, used for experiments.
Reon: Souljacked and imprisoned for thousands of years.

Back on Ar Ciel:
Misha: Made to sing for a decade.
Aurica: Family and hometown slaughtered, psychologically scarred.
Shurelia: Permanent NTR syndrome
Luca: Adopted, adoptive father dies, sister kidnapped, grows up in extreme poverty, sells her "body" for money
Cloche: Adopted, kidnapped, used for experiments and as political puppet.
Jacqli: Tortured, experimented on, first loved one killed, imprisoned for 350 years, defeated and saved by an idiot who rewrote her Binary Sphere story.
Cocona: Murdered her own family due to outbreak.
Sakia Lumei: Made specifically as a shell for the Wills.
Finnel: Made as sacrificial body for Ar Ru.

Mir and Reon are probably the worst due to length of time and being actively experimented on and tortured.

On average though I'd say Ar Tonelico had more broken characters than Surge Concerto, since the entire premise of Reyvateils and the Cosmosphere hinges on deep personal damage.

I think Tsuchiya was really clever with the Genometrics in Ar nosurge though. By making pair dives, the attention gets focused on the relationships between the characters more than the characters individually.
>>
>>14595954
I think it's part of the charm. There's a certain sense of release when Apocalypse and everybody's misery gets resolved by the power of friendship and understanding.
EXA_PICO is dark in the background, but bright in the foreground. It can have hundreds of years of miserable backstory, but in the game itself it will get resolved at least in one ending.
Also, how is the premise of Reyvateil "hinge on deep personal damage"? Or are you speaking about the fact all 3rd Generations die young? Because in actuality there is no rule that Reyvateil must be miserable, it would just be boring to get into a Cosmosphere of a "normal" Reyvateil so the games don't show them much. The closest we get is Aurica, and she's still tortured and psychologically wrecked.
>>
>>14595964
>Also, how is the premise of Reyvateil "hinge on deep personal damage"?
The Cosmosphere mechanic in the game requires all of the heroines to be psychologically damaged.

>I think it's part of the charm. There's a certain sense of release when Apocalypse and everybody's misery gets resolved by the power of friendship and understanding.
I'm not sure I agree with the "everything gets resolved" part. For me, the charm is that not everything gets resolved. Sure, there's the happy ending, but so many things were lost and not recovered along the way. That bittersweetness makes it better than a fairy tale ending.

Take Surge Concerto, for example. Almost everyone is dead: all the people who died during Ra Ciela's last years, all the genom who died with the planet, the planet itself, the original scouting party including Telefunken, then all of the people and Sharl who died on the Soreil. There's Pram, Greicoff, Neptool (who went mad/evil trying to save Sarly). There's Zill, who had humanity's best wishes in mind (although crazy). Undu and Crackett, who died trying to fix their mistake which caused ALL of this shit in the first place. At the end, a small handful of scarred survivors, on their reborn planet. Yay, happy ending?

I can agree with the sense of release though, it's basically catharsis.

You have to add the information into MusicBrainz database, then Picard will automatically tag for you. You can manually tag with Picard (check the settings so that it doesn't wipe manually set tags), but it won't sync to the MusicBrainz database because that can't be done manually.

It's a little complicated adding composers, but there's a reason for it. You have to add a work, then add a relationship saying the work is composed by artist, then add a relationship saying the recording/track in the album/release is a performance of the work.

The reason it's like this is you have the following situation

Work "EXEC_HARMONIOUS" (composed by Tsuchiya) --> Recording (sung by Shikata) (in album Red)
\--> Recording (sung by Noriko) (in album Blue)

(names for example purposes only)

If I recall correctly they only planned on leaving for a year to possibly attempt to fix Tilia's life span. And if the world does in fact end during the normal route then at least Aoto managed to hold hands with best girl.
>>
>>14621735
I don't think healing the planet was that urgent. The planet was dying, but it's not going to die within Aoto's lifetime.

Sort of like global warming/environmental destruction really. We're fucking up our planet royally, but something as big as a planet isn't something that dies within a lifespan. All of the side effects (heat, rising water level, polluted air, death of ecosystems) will kill our race long before the planet dies.

Same as Ar Ciel actually. The Sea of Death, the lack of habitable land, the Antibodies, and the in-fighting among the remaining population would have killed everyone before the planet (the Heart of the Land) would have been considered dead dead.

>shurelia@AR-TONELICO
I guess it's natural to name your computer like that.

Speaking of which, I feel like Tsuchiya has some UNIX hacker spirit in him too. The language in Ar Tonelico is Shell, no points for guessing what that's a reference to. The Ciel in Ar Ciel is also pronounced "shell". ciel = shell = world.

REON-4213, obviously inspired by programming languages. chmod b111000000/n is a pretty clear UNIX reference. Maybe Ar Tonelico is running a variant of UNIX? There's also the function defining syntax in the NPT dialect of Hymmnos.

The real clincher however is the scene in Ciel where Shirotaka is talking about G2 trons and Cielnotrons. The G2 trons are hard to use, you have to program them by hand, but they do exactly what you want them to do. The Cielnotrons are easy to use and write song magic programs for you, but Shirotaka and Ion agree that they can't match your feelings faithfully.

There's no way a non-programmer/UNIX user came up with that. The difference between clicking around ugly GUI versus writing a program or script that does exactly what you want it to do when you hit Enter, it's unforgettable.

That's only the surface. The whole Towers' structure and way of working is so blatantly inspired by CompSci, it's not even funny. Like, hell, the entire explanation of Song Servers and in what way does Infel Phira Song Server differ from Ar Tonelico Song Server really resembles RISC vs CISC, or maybe ARM vs x86, depending on how wide you want to make it.
That's probably one of the reasons I like AT so much too. I'm a computer nerd, and it's just pure joy for me seeing all these references. Also, I think it fits in the background of the world anyway and gives more depth to it, Computer Science is structured the way it is for a reason, it only makes sense that somebody in another universe solved these problems in similar way when it came time to solve them.

I never understood why they didn't classify the power relayed to Metafalss as vital infrastructure, like the Plasma Bell and the Musical Corridor, and made it immune to the shutdown. If I were Frelia, I would have insisted on that.

Keep in mind that the Second Tower is unfinished and Ar Tonelico is heavily damaged, and during the construction of both towers, the world was still safe to live on.

The Wings of Horus were already functional and inhabited before the Seven Bloodstains Incident, so it makes sense to classify it as "vital infrastructure".

However, the Metafalss in AT2 isn't actually meant to be inhabitable land, it's just a part of the unfinished Second Tower. Of course it wouldn't be classified as vital infrastructure, and after the Grathnode Inferia which caused the Metafalssians to evacuate to the tower, they no longer had the technology to make such modifications, or even understanding of why the towers existed in the first place.

My copy of the physical version just arrived in the mail from NISA. Nice box, tiny booklet, poster I haven't unfolded yet, a CD of selections from the soundtrack, and, of course, the game itself.

Mostly, I was trying to add to my collection of the selected soundtrack CDs. They make nice background music.

I honestly dont care about any of the tat in the LE and only bought it to have a physical copy of the game.
And if the Ar nosurge Plus LE is anything to go by the poster will be ruined by the folds. Pic related. I framed it and it still looks like that.

Seriously would it kill these company's to offer to send those posters in a tube for a a little extra cost? Ghostlight did this for the Fate/Extra posters and it was glorious.

Funny that the day i finished Ayesha, Escha & Logy shipped. And holy shit why is Regina's ending so terrible. Trying to be a housewife totally does not suit her.

Unfortunately it's not that easy. These games have to pass Sony's modern certification process, and have trophies tied in and such, and that means messing with the code.

Needless to say we wouldn't be getting AT2 on PS4 if it still had the Raki crash in it.

I thought the entire point of the "True" ending was to establish a sequel hook to let Ion go back to Ra Ciela
>>
>>14665362
But the true ending actually sends her back home.

Yeah they do a "maybe she'll be back" thing but the non-true ending already had her back in the world we actually care about
>>
>>14665370
The 'good' ending does leave Ion on Ra Ciela, but it cuts her Oversight and as such our connection to her. She's there but we'd never be able to contact her again.

The 'true' ending does have her go home, but leaves open her connection to Ra Ciela still, so if she does get dragged back (or go back of her own free will, Shirotaka's genometrics show her life on her Earth was pretty shitty), we'll be able to contact her again and get back behind the controls of Earthes.
>>
>>14665297
I like how manly and ridiculous it is

>LOVE & PEACE GRAAAHH
>>
>>14665402
What you're saying doesn't make sense to me.

Ion doesn't have a connection to Ra Ciela. Ion has a connection to her Earth.

In the normal end, she cuts her connection to her Earth, thus losing Oversight and any possibility of returning to her Earth. There's no physical connection between you and Ion, except fate, as in you are fated to be the one who connects to Earthes.

In the true end, she returns to her Earth using her connection, but since she doesn't have a connection with Ra Ciela, she can't return.

Of course that's not exactly true since she has a connection with Ra Ciela called fate, just like she has a connection with you called fate, which is why she was able to contact you after returning. But in EXA_PICO terms she doesn't have some kind of connection that allows her to return, she can only rely on her technology coupled with random chance ("fate") if she wanted to return.

In programming terms, Ion has a pointer to her own dimension. She got pulled to Ra Ciela, but she never got a pointer to Ra Ciela. In fact, she doesn't even belong there, the universe is trying to eject her. So saying she has a connection open to Ra Ciela doesn't make sense.
>>
>>14665485
>Fate

Bull fucking shit.
>>
>>14665500
I'm guessing that's why Tsuchiya specifically made the Ciel to Ar cutover the way he did.

It could have been "Okay I'll just transfer you over to this robot now" but instead Ion is sad about how there's a 99.99% chance that once she turns off the terminal the person who controls the robot will be someone else.

The <0.01% chance that you connected to Ion in Ciel and the <0.01% chance that you connected to her again in Ar is "fate", for lack of a better word.
>>
>>14665485
Yeah, no. She says the machine she's using to send you that post-game message is tied to Ra Ciela and she's slightly afraid she might get sucked back there if she sends you the message, but that wouldn't be such a bad thing because she'd get to see you again.
>>
>>14665517
Just relistened to it now, that's not what she says.

She says:

I tried modifying the Genelogic machine that I just made to send a message to you. The machine doesn't have enough energy left to go back, after all. But thinking about it now (from 6th dimension theory), what if using it sends me back to Ra Ciela? That's scary now that I think about it... But if that means I can meet you again, maybe it's not so bad...
>>
>>14665362
They could always pull a Shadow Hearts and make the bad ending the canon one.

If they ever make a AT1 remake and its based off the fact that the Shurelia ending was the true one that would be hilarious.

>People believed that [Songs] were the hands of mother nature that enveloped the world, and they continued to sing without pause.
>But now, things have changed. In this world everyone has forgotten how to sing...
>As if they were ancient words that had been lost forever.
No, they freaking didn't.
Everybody sings in this series, all the time, and songs are metaphors for everything, up to and including sex.
Singing just for the sake of singing isn't uncommon either. And even if it were, you literally can't make a Song do things unless you put a ton of emotions into it first.
What the hell are you talking about? Was this line thought up in some early version, where Wave Science and Song Magic weren't the entire foundation of every single technological wonder in the setting?
>>
>>14680374

I always just assumed [Songs] was referring to something special and different to your typical song magic.
>>
>>14680395
You mean, like the whole subplot with Claire, where she sang for fun and didn't have a partner, and some people were really pissed by the whole concept?
To be fair, we didn't see many songs "just expressing emotions" in Ar Tonelico itself, but they weren't that rare either. It could be just talking about Sol Ciel, though. There general fear and hatred of Reyvateils definitely didn't help "singing for fun" to blossom. Who knows, maybe this pretty girl singing to you at this feast is actually casting a fireball right now on some hitman contract?
Except men, who can't be Reyvateils, but nobody but Croix sings anyway. Maybe everybody's just embarassed since they don't have the Tower for ensemble.
Yeah, maybe it does have a bit of a point if we look at it like that, but I definitely wouldn't say "typical song magic" is not special. Reyvateils literally use strong emotions to power them. You really can't make a Song that isn't special to you in some way, just because it's how it works.
And really, they still sing a lot more than in our world. How often do people sing for fun here, except for musicians, lullabies and karaoke? It also helps that not everybody is a good singer anyway, and good songwriters are even more rare. And their world literally runs on songs and sounds.

I still don't really get one thing.
What do levels of IPD mean? What does it mean to be a "Level 9" or "Level 1" IPD?
Is there some kind of power ranking for them inside Infel Phira, or something? Because I don't remember Ar Tonelico having anything like that. It just gave powers asked of it, without discrimination, except for the root account, of course.
>>

>>14680524
The level refers to how much of their cosmosphere was lost to the virus. It also works as a guage to know how powerful they are so you know how much you need to charge the song of flaming murder to 1-shot her.
>>
>>14680772
And what about the whole "Queen of Infel Phira must be a Lv. 9 IPD"?
I kinda doubt Infel Phira would need their Queen to have a high-level virus for the Queen Registry to function.
>>
>>14680374
What if those lines are exactly referring to the setting of the game?

"Long ago" could mean the times of Lyner and Croix and Aoto, and this game is the narrative about them.
>>
>>14681036
Oh.
Does it mean that somehow everything got worse after they finally fixed up the planet?
It's a depressing thought.
Also, then, Tsuchiya must have had a lot of plans for the series, considering it was the first game.
>>
>>14680772
Wrong. The level is a representation of how much they can synchronize with Infel Phira. It has nothing to do with a "virus" or "cosmosphere lost", and the only reason it's used to determine an IPD's strength is because the higher the synchronization level, the greater the power they can draw from it.
>>
>>14681102
Does the Tower have anything like that, or is synchronisation an Infel Phira-specific thing?
Was there ever any explanation what synchronisation is, and why it's set up that way?
>>
>>14681036
>>14681078
It's just a metaphor for how Song Magic usage was lost to the humans and reserved only to the Reyvateils after the catastrophes that ended the First and Second Eras. Plus, these same lines are repeated in the introduction to AT3 and quoted by Cocona at the end of her Hymmnos Musical, so them being in the first game has nothing to with it.
>>
>>14681108
Neither Ar tonelico nor Harvestasya have such a feature. And the levels are the way Infel Phira gauges if a Reyvateil can handle the songs contained in the Hymn Crsytals for it, as well as if they can handle the power necessary for them to receive the Queen Registry.
That's also why they don't have Hymn Codes: the synchronization level takes of the security functions they have in Ar tonelico and Harvestasya.
As for the synchronization level, it's no more than how efficiently they can convey their feelings to Infel Phira.
>>
>>14681110
About the number of the game, I meant, if he was right, the fact that it was in the first game would mean that Tsuchiya already had an idea how the whole series would end AND what would happen afterwards. Which seems kinda farfetched.
Also, maybe, but it's not really because anybody stops them from using Song Magic. It's just that even the weakest Third Generation is still many times stronger than the best human Singer. Finding yourself a Reyvateil ally is literally easier than learning how to sing Song Magic. Especially since, you're right, nobody knows how to do it anymore, Tower handles most things for Reyvateils, I assume.
>>14681121
Oh. Thanks for information. Now I understand it a lot better. Now I only wonder if the fact there are 9 levels of synchronisation somehow is connected to 9 levels of Cosmosphere.
>>
>>14681132
It's no so farfetched if you take in account he has been working on the world for the series and its stories since almost 20 years ago, so it means most of the stuff we've seen so far was already planned in advance. Also, he has always been throwing around hints for the next games in the supplementary material, like for example talking about the New Testament of Pastalie in the AT1 books before AT2 was even announced, or making Mir tell Shurelia she was leaving for somewhere in the AT1 Drama CD Side Extra.

And anyway, humans can't even sing Song Magic because they don't have a way to connect to the Tower due to the terminals they used being lost technology, leaving aside the fact that Shurelia also banned their use after Mir's Rebellion. As for the Moon Chanters, they always have been few in number, kept their beliefs and methods secret, and not even a hundred of them could compare in power to even the weakest Reyvateil.
>>
>>14681166
Wait, terminals? I didn't know about terminals. What are terminals?
I was talking about Moon Chanters.
>>
>>14681172
The humans used to utilize song magic by singing through special terminals before the Reyvateils were created, and they also kept using them during the Second Era. If you're familiar with the Cielnotrons from Surge Concerto, it's more or less the same idea.
>>
>>14681219
Oh. And why did Shurelia ban their use? How were they connected to Mir?
It doesn't seem like they would be that much more dangerous than Reyvateils anyway.
>>
>>14680453
They didnt charge 99 GBP since the NA version is $99? I Guess they at least learned something.
>>
>>14681227
The same reason she banned Sound Science completely and made Grathmelding as a replacement: because she thought the humans couldn't be trusted with the powers the Tower gave them after these two catastrophes.
>>
>>14681254
Oh, OK. I thought there was some particular reason for their ban too.
It's kinda questionable how can you completely ban a science, though. Also, really, she was really lucky didn't have any huge projects that required it, such as Metafalss' Metafalica and Sol Cluster's Planet Restoration. Trying to ban Sound Science wouldn't have ended so well.
In the end, her ban did absolutely nothing to stop Bourd from trying to renew the experiments either, even if he had the help of Mir. It only broke up the infrastructure between various cities and made it harder to watch for such things (thus also allowing for the rise of Bishop Falss), plus prevented contact between various Towers, which slowed down both Metafalica and Planet Restoration Projects, up until the point everybody was really lucky Mir decided to deal with it once freed.
People did stop screwing with thar stuff for a while, but it was really only good as a short-term measure.
Also, they were really lucky that Reyvateils didn't abuse their powers or get into another revolt because of discrimination. They need no permission to use the powers of the Tower.
Really, it was probably one of her dumbest decisions.
Not that there was a lack of sinister projects in the other two lands past Second Age, but you still can't really deal with stuff like that by banning a science.

In the past, the humans sang. The words of the Moon Chanters, Carmena Foreluna and the Kurt Ciel Note dialect of Hymmnos have indeed been lost.

In the past, humans used Song Magic by singing together as one. That unity of heart and the words themselves have long been lost by the time of AT1.
>>
>>14681219
>The humans used to utilize song magic by singing through special terminals before the Reyvateils were created
No, they sang the songs directly (the Moon Chanters). The discovery of Songstones enabled the "automation" of singing through the derivation of Grathnode and Paramono.
>>
>>14682343
Wrong, not all the humans did. That's precisely why the Moon Chanters were respected and became the subject of legends: because most people didn't know how their songs could bring miracles into existence. Also, the Moon Chanters were explicitly said to have lived only in Sol Ciel. And while they had a variation in Metafalss called the Song Manipulators that treated the songs with a more mathematical approach instead of the magical one employed by the Moon Chanters, they aren't the same thing.

>>14682382
I'm talking after the time the Tower was built but before the Reyvateils were created. If they didn't do that, doing anything with the Tower outside of doing manipulation in the Binary Field would have been impossible.

Also, please go read the translation for the 10th issue of the Technical Compilation Room: http://artonelico.wikia.com/wiki/ARM_Backup/Ar_Portal_translation/Ar_Ciel_Technical_Data_Compilation_Room/Issue_10

Tsuchiya explicitly says there the same exact thing I said about the terminals.

If anyone cares, the AT2 retranslation guys have uploaded an update patch that fixes a couple bugs that were even on the JP game. That also gives access to an event in Jakuri's CS that's been unavailable all this time.

>That also gives access to an event in Jakuri's CS that's been unavailable all this time.
Talk about a game breaking bug.
>>
>>14683359
It's an optional event not even JP players could access though.

Exams are almost over, thank God.

I will update ATFLPP by the end of the week, including new emulator version and new BETA patch. Thanks for the news.

So was it translated too?

Kinda like the World Link content in Ar noSurge that's there but we can just never get?

It is commonly accepted in general thread of all kind (but especially in small general like this one) that being a contributor does give you some leeway such as using a name for practical reason.
However it's something that only apply within the general itself.
Just hide post if you don't like it.
>>
>>14685159
Yeah, it was. The translators generally go through all the texts even if they don't actually show up in the playable parts of the game.
>>
>>14685481
I don't see any practical reasons here, only namewhore blogposting.
>>
>>14685481
It's also a tradition that some contributors class change to namefag shortly after gaining some fame.
>>
>>14685481
Well, the flac anon, the atelier anon, and the autist anon never namewhores. ATMC is the only one, and it's pretty obvious he's doing it for attention.

>>14686010
Considering that like half the link in the OP are from him, can you really blame him?>>14566769

He may be namefagging but he's still one of the most active member here.

>It's also a tradition that some contributors class change to namefag shortly after gaining some fame.
True but only on well-behaved board/general.
>>
>>14686023
Next thread I'll reupload retranslation patch, emulator, game iso and save files from gamefaqs so I can put my name in OP and turn thread into my personal blog.

Any time you're ready, Anon.
We're past the bump limit now.

>>14686099
If you actually bothered to read the thread you'd know that it literally didn't happen.
He also barely post and when he does it's related to the fan retranslation of AT2, the emulation of the games or the advancement of the musical collection.
In other word he's using a name when he should be, maybe he went overboard by saying >>14684490
>Exams are almost over, thank God.
but he still said this in the same post
