It was fine. We had like five regions. Scandiavian, Dutch (plus Belgium), and British people were essentially one region, because these nationalities played on the English servers. There was the odd player from some Slavhole that barely spoke English, however, that for some reason didn't play on the Russian servers. Lots of Romanians too, for some reason.

German servers so only germans and germans in denial. Casual raiding and PVP was good. High level PVP and raiding was at least possible if u wanted more u had to move to the english servers but that was also okay.

Really depends on the server, I'm talking back in vanilla. I think it might be bladefist, almost everyone was spanish or italian. Other servers had the eternal swede and most had just a healthy mix.

Played with belgians, brits, swedes and finns in my guild.

Before 2008 Russians completely occupied 4 EU servers which were nominally English, but in fact became 99% Russian. In 2008 Blizzard launched separate Russian wow, offered free transfers for everyone and then CLOSED that 4 EU servers (i believe it was the only time blizzard completely closed a wow server). For many years Russians played in their separate battlegroups. A couple of years ago all european battlegroups were fused in one pool. The result is there are endless whining threads on all wow-related forums about evil Russians who dominate the BGs and farm poor little Europeans.

The grind wasnt that bad few months after launch when the population peaked 6k on sundays. I managed to level 3 60s all in under 7 days /played. I imagine it would take tons of more time with quest mobs and objectives being camped by baby boostaltnigs with 60s on follow or the usual group of 5 xiaozhaos. The wpvp was actually enjoyable back then now if you try to prank someone with a twink you get a babyrage alt logging on main and camp you.

i know how bad the grind is, i've got two 60s on nost took me 11 days /played just to get to level 60, and it wasn't worth it imo
the chink pop has gotten pretty bad, i agree. i especially hate the fags with level 60s on /follow
level 20 wpvp is still pretty enjoyable for me though, i don't really get ganked by 60s all that much. generally they only gank you if you're a twink or graykilling and stuff like that
