I think it's about time to thank all environmentalists for preventing Africans from using wonderful pesticides such as DDT and others.
Thank you Greenpeace for saving malaria from extinction and allowing zika to take over them.
There are far more efficient ways to quell human overpopulation than forcing us all to watch a generation of mentally retarded peaheads die of weird diseases in their tweens
Zika is our punishment for producing anime
>implying they banned ddt because it kills mosquitos
Nigga they used it ON mosquitos to fight against malaria. Its health impacts on humans and pollinators is the reason for banning it.
Pretty promise that it won't kill me?
Or that I will not have to take care of a potato.
I even have a statue of the chosen ones.
An altar can be aranged.
>overpopulation in the subhuman world is a massive problem
>it's bad people are dying wah
Well, slightly less. So long as you stayed away from black people and didn't rub your hands on dead bodies you wouldn't get Ebola.
Where as Zika is spread by bug bites. So long as the bug can't thrive in you area its "safe".
I guess it's expensive to screen so much of your population. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
My hope is it will spread slowly and get killed off by fall weather. We get hot weather but summer is a short season.
Yeah, it is a bit expensive.
That's pretty much our media is focusing so hard on prevention and sanitary tips on how to disrupt the mosquito's reproductive cycle.
The sad part is that this epidemic is yet to hit it's apex since the South atlantic convergence zone is just picking up steam before hitting March with full force throughout south america
Ddt isn't prohibited for disease use at all.
Ddt has to only be used in emergencies because the mosquitos can easily get immunity to it abd it harms wildlife since it stays in the food chain and soil for very long periods of time.
Is it really that bad down there? Sometimes it's hard to tell if it's really a crisis or if the media is being hysterical.
Since we aren't affected there isn't much media coverage up here. We only had one pregnant lady who went to Brazil for holiday and wanted testing when she returned home.
The media is aalways hysterical about anything with potential enough to boost their pockets (pretty much the ebola outcry of some months ago) but this does have it's share of truth behind it.
The truth is the floods are just building up and with that more and more mosquitoes are going to breed and, as direct result, more people is going to get contaminated.
We're the host country for the next Olympics, which means more foreigners are going to visit this place and get contaminated themselves.
For what's worth the mosquito doesn't seem to thrive very well in cold environments so you guys are considerably safe regardless on how widespread this shit becomes after dying out when the tropical areas finally experience a change of season
Is it so hard to understand?
No pesticides --> No mosquito removal ---> Yes malaria --> Yes lots of people dead
I'd rather have a few birds and people coughing than a million dead a year and the risk of it returning to Europe. (yes, malaria is endemic here)
>We're the host country for the next Olympics
I guess that's also why so much attention is being placed on it, at least from a foreign perspective. Olympics mean your country is in the spot light for years.
Hopefully the Brazilian government finds some way to cope with it more effectively, but I guess there's only so much you can do since they thrive in your region.
You are citing the organization of a climate change denier and astroturfing group anon.
Pesticides are already used you moron and guess what those insects also get resistanice to that as well. Ddt has to be used sparingly for it to be effective.
You can add us to the list. Some pacific islander brought it back from their tropical swamp. We don't have the Aedes Aegypti mosquito here that carries it though.
can't you see it?
>that new super flu a few years ago
just let it happen
>tfw Americans will all be literally retarded so that Canada can take over the continent
>indians don't use loos
>loos act as standing basins of water for zika-chan to breed and thrive
>millions of dead pajeets grace the altar of zika-chan
