Your thoughts about the sentinelese people?
>In January 1880, an armed British expedition to the island led by 20-year-old Maurice Vidal Portman, the local colonial administrator, arrived to conduct a survey of the island, and to take a prisoner, in accordance with British policy to pacify unfriendly tribes at the time, which was to abduct a member of the tribe, treat them well and give them gifts, and release them back to the tribe, hoping to demonstrate friendliness. Portman's expedition of the island is believed to be the first by outsiders. While the Sentinelese tended to disappear into the jungle whenever outsiders were spotted approaching, Portman's expedition found an elderly couple and four children after several days. They were taken prisoner and brought to Port Blair. The elderly couple became ill and died, probably from contracting diseases to which they did not have immunity. The four children were returned to the island, given gifts, and released. The children then disappeared into the jungle. After this incident, the British did not try to contact the Sentinelese again and instead focused on other tribes.
I know very little about them or any other Andamanese, except that they've managed to avoid getting conquered and colonized by anyone. Though on the other hand you have to figure how much of that is just down to the fact that the first outsiders who encountered them were modern "waah conquest is wrong" cuckolds who were afraid of conflict, even after the andamanese natives literally started making a game of shooting arrows at them and laughing about it.
They're living fertile ground for studies on ancient human behavior since they've had so little contact with external cultures and populations for so long and that is what matters the most about them.
I was thinking that too. They came on the Island fucking 60000 years ago and they almost changed nothing in their way of living. But I imagine that those people are also quite happy with their lives
Well, they also don't know any better. They'd die young.
I'm pretty sure their island got fucked by a tsunami a while ago and they think many of them were killed. They must have some hardcore inbreeding.
There's a few official groups like the ones mentioned in OP's post.
There's also hermits and hermit families who fucked off into the wild like that Siberian family for 40 years without contact. But only the one daughter is still alive and I think she's in her 60's.
Either that or they became frightful after the failed British attempts of contact with them. I like to think they're pretty much us, right now, if some advanced alien form happened to hover by our little blue mud ball
Flyby helicopter and satellite estimations say the tsunami barely dropped their numbers since they apparently managed to predict it thanks to some generations long knowledge that says whenever the sea recoils too much they then must run as far and high as possible from the shores
i think they are totally retarded.
shooting arrows at helicopters... that's like firing handguns on armored attack helos.
if russians were in charge of contact i shudder to think about the outcome.
>They're living fertile ground for studies on ancient human behavior
They have their own culture, they are human beings.
They aren't just insects who act according to their brain's genetic programming from birth.
Everyone is a violent savage. It's human nature to be a violent savage. Only retarded Europeans think they have somehow left this savagery behind, even though they're the only group of people to almost destroy the entire planet.
>zika could kill them off and they will never have modern medicine to save them
But of course. If that wasn't the case we wouldn't cherish control groups as much as we do on social studies.
It's like trying to find the root of sexuality from studying congenital twins
How dare they want to be left alone on their little island, fuck them!!!
Gift culture is different so they probably didn't recognize the neighborly cake that was being offered for what it was.
They were probably laughing because the strange people didn't shoot back. The expedition didn't even bring bows so it's not like they were recognized as armed by the natives, just strangely dressed people.
>Maybe you had a better education than me
dunno but if a ufo showed up above me about to land in my back yard i wouldn't throw sharp sticks at it for sure...
i think recognizing superior technology is a sure sign of intelligence.
They should learn about the true word. If you know what I'm saying.
