Balding culture in your country.
How bad are you?
Can you afford implants or propecia?
I take proscar and divide it by five. It's the same company that makes propecia and when they figured out that it can slow down balding as well as reduce prostate swelling the divided the dose/5 and jacked up the price by 5x so you're paying 25x the price. Sometimes I forget to take it, I'm not as bad as your pic but have bald spots esp in front it looks like a shotgun blast.
Could that rogaine stuff help me rebuilt some of those bald spots? I'm getting desperate to at at least keep this shit until i'm almost 40.
Yeah girls don't mind bald men as much but a balding 25 year old is gross(started balding before that but at 25 it started to show and i'm 29 now). Ironically I have a really thick mane of chestnut hair at the back it's so thick and luscious that you can't even see the scalp even if you run your fingers through it. So I would probably be a good candidate for implants
I think I have to thank both my grandfathers for this shit hair genetics, my dad isn't bald and on my mom side it's even more enraging, she's 57 and her hair is still black with almost no white, my grandma is 78 and only has white hair at her temples and here and there but the rest is like a deep black colour, thick and dense.
Of course my faggot cousin inherited her,hep b having queer.
Oh wel;l,at least blue eyes nice build and pale, but every time I see pics from me in high school with thick hair I just get the feels.
tl;dr:is rogaine worth itesp for local areas in front?
rogaine only stunts or temporarily stops hair loss, it doesnt grow it back
Also I hear that hair loss treatment stuff can you fuck up you longterm. make you impotent or shrink your balls or something
>i heard this is bullshit
Are you dumb?
yeah propecia can do that but I think I have so much excess testosterone that it doesn't matter(propecia stops testosterone from converting in a compound kown as dht that is the main cause of hair loss in men). Plus I eat a lot of animal fat and cured meats and stay away from soy and other ebin faggot things that they say you should eat.
>rogaine only stunts or temporarily stops hair loss, it doesnt grow it back
No that's propecia you're talking about, rogaine is a solution that you apply to your scalp and can grow hair as long as you keep aplying(it works for beard hair too asian man it also thickens follicles, that's why you have to be careful when washing hair so it doesn't hit your face or you can grow hair on your face in unwanted areas even on your forehead (that's mostly for people that have/had blond hair as a kid bc we tend to have tiny almost invisible hairs all over)
Yeah those bitches will scope my hairline and think "He looks like an authoritarian CEO" as I hop out the '98 honda civic.
>tfw 5head and going bald
why i have not yet died in my sleep is beyond me
>Tfw not even balding but I've had a gigantic forehead and thin hair since I was a kid so it looks like I'm going to start balding but I never am
My shit is fucked
>tfw my grandpa is in his 70's and still has black hair, no dye.
My family has these weird fountain of youth genes that make you look 15 years younger. It's terrible for the guys though because woman always prefer more mature looking men.
I think you're supposed to run your hair trough the sink for a quick rinse with hot water first in the areas where you applied it. Idk if you're supposed to wash your hair every day though, that would be pretty silly and a pain in the ass if you don't have short hair(which I cna't t bc bald spots) If I just lost my hair gradually through receding hairline I would not give nearly as much of a fuck.
If women can lie and fight nature, then so can we.
>If I just lost my hair gradually through receding hairline I would not give nearly as much of a fuck.
why would you not give a fuck
i had a perfect hairline and had a dermitis on the scalp and now my hairline not as good as before im sad
im gonna try rogaine i have very tiny small hair on the sides who dont grow longer and i dont know why, if they could grow it would firstly fixed my sides
Baldness will probably cease to be a problem in the next 50 or so years when we start genetically manipulating our offspring. They'll be Humanity 2.0, attractive, tall, strong, and intelligent with no predispositions to viruses, diseases and illnesses. Scientists also say that there's no reason why a human couldn't live forever if he was able to replace old organs regularly enough.
>Buss and/or shave
This entirely depends on the shape of your head. Could be hit or miss.
Will look funky once your hair starts to grey.
>The big three (finasteride, minoxidil and ketoconazole shampoo)
Can give you some unfortunate side effects if you're unlucky
Requires finasteride in order to keep it.
>Funky "natural" solutions
Your hair will start to fall out at the exact same rate.
I'm trying to imagine what it would be like to lose my hair, I just can't see what the big deal is but maybe my imagination isn't good enough. If I was gonna start balding I would just cut my hair extremely short or go full on bald.
I had a friend who had some sort of hair troubles and he was extremely distraught by it. His hair just started falling out.
turning 26 and my hairline is going further and further to the top of my head. least i dont have any bald spots on the top yet.
Dad is turning 54 this year and he isnt even balding
>Funky "natural" solutions
>Your hair will start to fall out at the exact same rate.
true but I used this "anti-hair loss" shampoo for a while and it did improve the quality of my hair in the areas that were prone to falling, before it was very frail and dry,now he folicles are thicker and not dry like the rest of my hair. it's pretty cheap(if you can find it) about 2-3 euros and it's a good general shampoo too,no more itchy/flakey scalp
Please buy I have 9 kids need money for food
My hair is thick as fuck and I'm 29.
My grandfather on my mother's side had a full head of hair until the day he died. I got those genes. I got the ones for alcoholism too but hey, what can you do?
>turned 20 years old 11 days ago
>thinning in the temples
>haven't cut my hair in awhile
>it looks like i have a mullet
>get depressed every time I look in the mirror
Should I just go for a hairstyle that goes with a receding hairline? If there is one?
I had to take a blood test before I could start any hair loss treatment just to see if it was a hormone problem. My doctor new it wasn't but, had to go with it as it's part of protocol.
The receding look isn't that bad though.
My dad was bald in his 30s so I assume my hair won't stay there for to long. But science is in our side, right?
I'm using minoxidil, my hairline kinda already stopped receding (or got really slow, didn't get major sheds like I used to for 2 years) but I just wanted to be sure. Actually regrowing a tiny bit of hair on my temples, didn't expect it at all desu.
I have considered fina too, but my dermatologist didn't agree.
I'd be a good candidate for transplant, since my hairline is stable, the receding is not super bad, the hair I have look good and I (my family) have the money.
But I'm not going to get one, as I said my situation is not that bad and you can't really notice much.
holy kek it looks like shit
I'm balding since I'm 20
Now 25, I trim to the shortest, grow a beard (unfortunately no on the cheeks)
And I pull pussy
Maybe being 6'2 and not a social autist helps tho
>tfw 21 and balding
it's not that bad right now, some days it looks fine and some days i wear a hat cuz it looks shit
but a weird thing is sometimes there seems to be scabs on my scalp and often when i brush it little pieces of skin get stuck in the hair
anybody know what this is?
it's a symptom of MPB
I bet that there are scabs mostly on top, almost none on the back am i right?
I think it's connected to the shedding of the hair
I know cause I lost half of them already
Shitty Southern European genes
At least I'm tall
I am 23 and bald in the front of my head. I am black though and relatively tall so I feel like I get away with it. I just shave and have a beard
Most women dont care if youre bald as long as you dont look beta otherwise
I feel like Europe is more bald tolerant though
26 and have a hairline like Ansel Elgort. My hair is thick as fuck so the thinning at the temples is not really noticeable yet, but I started applying minoxidil regardless. If it gets any worse in a few years I might get a transplant. I just want a nice head of hair till I'm mid 30s, after that I don't care and going to shave it all off anyway
>when your friends start balding and you might be next
I am paranoid about it. There are no bald spots on my head, but my hair is thinner at the crown, and I am paranoid about whether it is receding at the front.
To combat my paranoia about the receding, I just image two straight lines doing from the front of my ears around to the top of my head. If my hairline goes back beyond those lines, I know I am receding.
Does hair washing and shampoo actually accelerate/bring on balding? I feel the need to wash my hair everyday but I am terrified of balding. I'm a manlet and fairly ugly so if I start to go bald I am DONE. Game over, might as well kill myself no point in playing on. That is my official losing condition.
>Rooney getting a hair transplant
"So, Mr Rooney, with this new procedure we can completely restore your hairli-"
"Only restore it a bit, I still want it to be massively receded."
"B-but Mr Rooney I-"
"See it done."
No it doesn't really have anything to do with actual balding.
what about this one
I feel like biology is telling me to end it.
>that feel when almost everyone in your family still has long hair even in their late 50s
Thanks to my babe face genes I will never go bald like did none of my ancestors before me
>he does not want to have aryan hairchut
From pussy magnet to pathetic loser nerd faggot.
Here are the steps to take if you go bald, and you want actual results:
1. Find and kill your parents. They gave you bad genes. They deserve to die.
2. Find and kill as many relatives of yours as possible. Consult a family tree. The closer they are to you, genetically, the more chance they have of having bad genes, and the more they need to die. Make sure to murder their children, as well. It is easy to look at an old family tree that has not got the latest children on it. Don't make that mistake.
3. When your killing spree is over; murder yourself. This is the hardest step to take, but it is worth it. You have shit genes, and you must not pass them on.
Follow these steps to fight baldness.
Minoxidil actually works, but there are some side effects, and you really have to commit yourself. You'll shed a lot in the beginning, and you can get dandruff. I'm just not down with having to apply it two times a day for the rest of your life. Also, if you stop using it, you'll lose whatever you regrew, and bald even more. It's just a big headache. On the plus side, minoxidil is very cheap.
I started balding at 25, taken a course of propecia generic (dutasteride as I remeber) which was not that expensive. Now I stopped balding, and all hair on bald parts had grown back. It's treatable and reversible if you taking medicals in time.
>tfw 20 and have a naturally high hairline
>tfw my brother is starting to bald at 24
Damn you shit genes, my time is near, what do ???
>parents have full hair
>grandparents died with full hair
i might die early due to a heart problem but at least i will die with full hair.
Many guys have patchy baldness. When you shave it you look worse because you have a uneven mess on your scalp. And if you have light skin and naturally dark hair it just highlights exactly where you are balding.
Anyone have experiences with Rogaine? I'm on my third month of it and I should start seeing results in the next month or so if it works.
Not balding but I have thinning hair a and it doesn't oil like it used to, it's dry too. Probably stress related.
it's not that bad if you just keep your hair short
I'm 27, been losing hair since about 21, started finasteride 1.25mg every day at age 22 (Propecia), costs me $27 a year, I've barely lost any hair in the 5 years I've taken it, front part of my hair is a little bit limp and my hairline is a little receded, but I just put some styling shit in my hair to give it more volume and it looks decent on a good hair day, feels good when I see tons of other dudes my age who are far worse than me, my cousin started balding after I started and he is already shaving his head because his hair is beginning to look like OP's.
My dad died but he had a thick head of hair, about a NW2 or something on the Norwood scale, I got fucked anyway though but at least there's a cheap form of Propecia out there and it works pretty badass.
The 'big three' is a nickname for using the 3 most effective treatments. Propecia, Rogaine and Nizoral shampoo.
Male pattern baldness is caused by a chemical called Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in your blood. DHT is created from testosterone. It causes inflammation in your hair follicles on your head, this inflammation causes them to shrink and this causes them to fall out.
Each of the treatments deal with this in a different way.
Propecia is the brand name for finasteride, this removes DHT from your blood which stops the inflammation of your hair follicles. This is the most effective treatment. Propecia is a prescription drug which comes in pill form that you take once a day.
Rogaine contains Minoxidil, this increases blood flow where applied. By increasing blood flow on your scalp it stops your hair follicles from shrinking which stops them falling out. This is the second most effective treatment. Rogaine comes as a liquid, spray or foam. You use it twice a day.
Nizoral shampoo contains ketoconazole, this is a powerful testosterone blocker which also blocks the production of DHT. Because it is applied locally on your scalp it helps prevent DHT damage to your hair follicles without harming your internal hormone balance. This is the least effective treatment. You use it twice a week.
I currently use propecia pills, rogaine spray and nizoral shampoo. I have had no further balding since I starting and a little bit of regrowth.
I have experienced a few side effects. My balls hurt for a few days after I started using propecia, it was nothing major just a dull ache. The ache went away after a week. I also started getting some weird hair growth. The small white hairs on your forehead, cheeks and ears start to grow thicker and faster. I now have to trim those hairs which you couldn't even see before.
I'm about to switch from rogaine spray to rogaine foam because the spray is pretty hard to apply where I want it. You need to apply rogaine to your scalp but the spray tends to stick in my hair.
My big advice would be get treatment straight away. The big three stops hair loss but it doesn't make much grow back.
>How to know if your hair is falling more than average?
Take a photo of the back of your head.
Then post the results here and I will tell you. People never see the back of their own head and that is where the problem starts.
No one will tell you that your are going bald either.
I'd also say that it's not going to stop it completely or forever, but the goal is to age gracefully, so instead of being a head shaver at 23, you might be able to be a headshaver by 40 which is completely normal and acceptable.
21, balding at the temples and thinning at the front. Kill me. It's been really bad recently but I'm hoping it's just the rogaine causing me to shed. If it gets any worse I'm going to see the doctor and ask for a finasteride prescription.
19, hairline starting to push back a bit. I don't have enough money to get any products, hoping that I can hold it off until at least 21 when I have the financial ability to protect my hair.
I have shit tier hair genes so I shaved it off once the amount I lost in the shower started getting concerning.
It took a bit to get used to, but not having to worry about balding took a great weight off my shoulders.
>tfw 80yo's in my family still have a full head of hair, and only one relative i know is bald
Started losing hair at 18. Ended up with a NW2 and a rapidly isolating and thinning forelock. Started taking Propecia and using Nizoral at 20. After 2 or 3 months it stated thickening.
Now at 26 I have a mature hairline with a full forelock.
Propecia and Nizoral work if you catch it within 2 or 3 years.
Something like the guy on the left. I'm 21 ;_;
>being asspained over balding
Literally for faggots.
I will likely never go bald due to genetics, but if I did, I'd just shave the whole thing off. Right now, I keep it shaved at 9mm. Stop being beta.
Can only LOL when baldies post dudes like Statham for why balding isn't that bad. Yes because you all really have the top 1% of skull structure that would let you look good bald. Keep coping though
nobody actually looks comically handsome like Statham though
I just figure that going bald is a perfectly normal thing to happen and the only real consequence is that people might think I'm older than I am.
mid thirties here.
My Dad was bald by his early 20s.
Genetic Jackpot, I suppose
I've done a lot of research on this subject. If you are balding, here are your options
1. Shave your head. This is the best course of action
2. Propecia aka Finasteride. This DHT inhibitor will stop your hair from falling out in the vast majority of cases, and may even regrow hair. However, in some cases (1.5 to 2 percent or even more if you believe some people) it has severe sexual side effects such as erectile dysfunction and reduced ejaculate volume. In extreme cases, hormone replacement therapy is needed to achieve an erection. A pretty good option since the patent on propecia expired recently, pills can be had cheaply. However, as the worst possible consequence is permanent ED I have personally not taken it
3. Hair transplants. Protip: unless you can afford the absolute best doctors in the world like actors (you can't) you will buy a few more years of thin hair, which will eventually fall out leaving you with a big scar on the back of your head.
4. Hair plugs (lol)
5. Staple a baseball cap to your ugly skull
Mine has always been like this, havent receded at all since I was a kid, is it still receded?
Mine looks like that at the back too, I can definitely feel it thinning. So I just accepted it gave myself a buzzcut. Plenty of my mates are balding/bald already and they're only ~21/22. Sometimes you get dealt a shit hand in life, just make the best of it. At least you weren't born in Portugal.
>tfw beautiful thick dark hair
>tfw all my dad and uncles on both sides were bald
>tfw my elder brothers are going bald
Ill be balding before 30.
My hair looked like that even when I was 15.
If it starts thinning now, I would be bald when I reach 50 and my father still has quite a lot of hair eventhough he's thinning at that point.
How can I be so unlucky to get the balding genes. FUCK THIS I WANT SOME PILLS NOW TO STOP THE THINNING!!!
If you're young and get a hair transplant when it first starts thinning, the transplanted hair will be permanent, but the hair behind it will eventually start receding.
That's what I thought, my dad is in his 50's and only starting to thin out now. Most of my uncles and granparents either still have all their hair or started balding at around that age. But it seems mine has started in my early 20s.
You know not of which you speak
Pretty sure I'm balding. Just fucking kill me, family.
My hair has been like that for years at the crown. And I don't fucking comb my hair or bother tidying it up.
Pls stop. I'll even offer my boipucci to you ;_;
But if your face don't look like mine, chances are, you would still look good unlike me if my hair ends up like that now.
My father went bald when he was in his thirties, I believe. I'm only 19. I'm not too terribly bothered, if it only weren't for the fact that it's this early on. I've got the facial structure of my Irish/Norman ancestors so I'm fucking good. I just need to put on muscle mass, grow facial hair as such and I'm fucking set. Who's going to see the top of my head in a winged helm anyway?
I have black Irish hair; extremely thick and unruly. Inb4 not white.
I had this too, but it turned out it was Chronic Telogen Effluvium caused by stress. I ate lots of protein and it all grew back, hope it's the same for you mate.
Chronic Telogen Effluvium is a hormone condition generally caused by stress, where your brain is tricked into thinking all the hair on your head has reached maximum (telogen) length, and so all your hair falls out over a period of time. The thinning is most apparent on the top of the head, it can be distinguished from MPB by being all over instead of just the corners of the hairline and the very top of the scalp. CTE has no real treatment, but if you eat lots of protein your hair will regrow pretty fast.
Blond hair is invariably thin, and all men get thinner hair as they get older - some only slightly, some a lot. When your hair is already thin, you're fucked.
>I've got the facial structure of my Irish/Norman ancestors so I'm fucking good.
You don't even need a beard to look good with that face, just some muscle mass will make you look like a badass and drown in pucci.
wouldn't be a thread vaguely related to ethnicity without some yank going on about their fictitious "ancestors"
Not bald at all, got loads of hair.
My father has been losing his hair at an alarming rate, and he's almost lost it all at the tender age of 58. Little brother is also starting to lose hair.
tfw superior genes
The real packaging is way more cringy
My hair started falling out about 4 years ago and I just get a buzzcut or shave it off once a month and it looks fine.
It's not a big deal unless you have a lumpy scalp or serious case of babbyface, or I guess if you're a manlet and women can actually see the top of your head lmao.
I used a special mixture called ezyprotein which tastes grotty but makes your hair grow like bamboo. Also gives you beautiful clear skin on your face. If you just want dietary options, steak is best. Eggs are overrated for protein, you basically just want meat and veggies.
Go to a doctor about it, though; it may not be what I had. Where is it thinning? All over? Mostly on top?
>using aus vernacular incorrectly
Wow, that stings. You can get as mad as you want; "yank" in Australia refers to an American irrespective of where they're from. Even "seppo" is rhyming slang for septic tank - yank.
Only 20 and on fin desu. Killed my libido but its not like I'll have sex anyway
balding since i was 18
on the big 3 but fin is making my facial muscles fucked up.
guess a face lift in 5 years in better than being bald
oh yeah, by the way
if you think your hairline is receding, look in the mirror and push the front of your hair back. if you have little hairs growing along the front, you're fine, the hair loss is temporary. if not, seek treatment
No. Hair follicles don't die immideately when you lose hair. They still live in hibernated state for several years. If you cure the reason — excessive conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestisterone in them and related vasospasm, hair can grow back. In 5 years after medical treatment of allopecia I have only one area with sparse hair on the back of the head, it's about 1,5 cm in diameter not even visible under hair.
Thread probably will be archived when I will come home today. This one from google seems to look alike — I wasn't horribly bald. And now I have even better hair — with a straight growth line (not M-shaped).
what a portentous thread
I was just noticing my hair seems to be getting thin. I have not noticed any bald spots or more hair falling out than usual but my scalp is easily visible through my hair anywhere I look for it.
I'm going to set up a doctor's appointment to figure out what is going on.
ive taken it for 15 years, as soon as I noticed anything and literally kept every last one on my head, as for that dumb shit you heard I jerk off or fuck daily and never even perceived the slightest change in muh wang
I'm almost 20 and I've noticed that a lot of my hair is falling out
My hairline has even retracted
My dad went bald at 25, and most of my uncles are bald so I'm guaranteed to get bald ;___;
is there anyway to lower the DHT through your diet? not as drastically ofc but honestly these hormone medications seems pretty sketchy
you're a stupid shit to take your own scenario, which is one sample, as some sort of truth
pls rate me on the right. balding isnt s so b b bad.
